Words cannot express how Loch Lloyd hit a home run for our daughter’s wedding. During the difficult CoVID times with worries and staffing shortages Megan Hanarhan, Chris Brems and staff put our event over the top. The staffed worked tirelessly to accommodate our guests and the attention to detail could not be surpassed. Our ceremony was upstairs followed by passed appetizers and drinks. Sit down dinner downstairs. Room flip and band upstairs. The team did not miss a beat with all those moving pieces. The chef did a outstanding job with the food prepared to perfection. Our guest told us the food was the best they had ever had. The team made our daughter’s wedding a perfect day. There is not a single thing I could have improved! Thank you.
I am so in love with how my wedding at Loch Lloyd turned out! The ceremony was upstairs in front of the big windows - it was beautiful! It looks so beautiful in photos, and didn't need much decoration as the views are incredible. The staff working there was so helpful, so knowledgeable and so quick to help! The reception was held downstairs, and the space was great! It was the perfect size, plenty of room for everything from the DJ, Dancing, Cake, desserts - everything! The food was incredible, the salmon was cooked perfectly, the chicken was a huge favorite -our guests are still raving to us about the food two months later! Our photos turned out beautiful with the areas around the venue, and in the venue. All in all I would say Loch Lloyd is the perfect wedding/reception venue!
Loch Lloyd County Club was an excellent venue! Beautiful locations to take pictures both inside and outside. The Loch Lloyd wedding coordinator worked with us along the way to make the vision of our wedding day become a reality. The wedding coordinator ordered many of our reception details, such as colored table clothes and a dance floor, to personalize our wedding space. We were able to have a customized meal for our special day, taco buffet, that was delicious. Our wedding day was stress free. There is a spacious locker room to get ready in. The staff was friendly and the reception ran according to the plan we developed with the coordinator. We would highly recommend using Loch Lloyd Country Club for your wedding reception!
Beautiful venue! So many beautiful places for outdoor pictures.
Beautiful venue. Great food. Polite waitstaff. Everything you could want in a venue except for the management. From the time I booked the venue to the time I had my wedding (13 months) there were 3 people different people switched in and out of the position of "wedding coordinator" that was what the position used to be titled before it had to be filled by people in charge of food and beverage management. My first "coordinator" Brittney told my lots of incorrect information (like how there is a shuttle service for wedding guests if they stay at the local hotels) and I got told by her on multiple occasions "you don't need to hire a wedding coordinator for the day of, we will do everything for you". Well jump to one month after I booked the venue and Brittney has ghosted. I find this out after one month of trying to get in contact with her that Marty has taken over (he was the director of food and beverage) granted he was not a wedding coordinator he was still better than Brittney. I was able to do the food trial with him and he was very on top of things ( I know someone else had written a review similar to mine about how Brittney was horrible and at least they had Marty before he left, but Loch Lloyd probably made them take it down) I wasn't so lucky the months before my wedding because I was stuck with Jessica and Todd (the assistant directors of food and beverage) after Marty left (at least he personally called to let me know). Jessica was extremely difficult to get a hold of (probably because they only have 2 people doing the job of what 4 people used to do) Thank god I had a wedding coordinator that I hired from outside (jjproductions) If I didn't have Jillian(my actual coordinator) , my wedding would have been horribly unorganized the day of. I kid you not, I walked past BOTH Jessica and Todd at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and neither one of them said one word to me (I was literally the only one wearing a wedding dress so I'm pretty sure I was hard to miss) no apologies, no congratulations, no smile, not even a look in my direction, oh but at the end of the night Todd was able to flag my dad down to get the payment so I guess he was paying attention to something. Jillian my actual wedding coordinator basically did most of their jobs for them. If you go with this venue prepare to be very frustrated when dealing with these people before the wedding. Make sure you hire an actual day of coordinator. And I'm sure in a couple months there will be a new set of people you will have to deal with, probably the next person in line behind Jessica and Todd will be the new wedding coordinator. Hopefully they hire the bartender, at least they were friendly.
I was so elated that we went with this venue. It has space for reception, and ceremony. However, my husband and I didn't use any ceremony space. This space is gorgeous! It takes stunning photos.
The staff is so helpful and accommodating. They will set up and take down any decorations for the reception. You just have to set up a demonstration table. You don't have to take the decorations with you that night, you can pick up the Monday after your event, or a friend can.
The food is delicious. This is some of the best reception food I have ever had. It really is delicious and they have so many options to choose from.
I had been worried that this place would be outside our budget. However, when all was said and done it was really affordable, especially for all the services they provided.
I can't recommend this place enough. Lock Lloyd made everything so easy.
Gorgeous facilities, very easy to work with. Not the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for in Kansas City. Would recomend!
Loch Lloyd was the perfect setting for our son's wedding. Their late afternoon ceremony in December, the sun streaming through the windows lighting up the couple as they said their vows, was beautiful. We received so many compliments on the lovely venue and great food. We could not have been more pleased.
Michelle, Director of catering and events, was wonderful to work with. She is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about the planning details. The wedding and reception went so smoothly because of her help.
We found Loch Lloyd through the perfect wedding guide's bridal show, and were instantly impressed. Michelle was our main event coordinator, and she was fabulous! It was SO nice to have someone that genuinely seemed to care how she could make our big day as seamless as possible. She kept us on schedule as far as planning and timing things for that day, and it was so nice to have that since we didn't use a separate event coordinator. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in deciding all those small details that are easily overlooked. Our wedding was prefect, and that whole day went wonderfully because of her and her staff! All of our guests commented on how good the food was, and there was plenty of it! I can't think of a single thing that I would like to have changed. We were hoping initially to be able to have our ceremony on the patio, but due to our guest count had to change to the event lawn. The lawn was still so beautiful! For being new-ish at doing public weddings, they certainly do a fantastic job! Thank you Loch Lloyd, for making our big day a day we will look back on with nothing but wonderful memories!!
We did a buffet style with chicken, baron of beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, and specialty salad! Everything was very delicious! Beautiful layout! We were told the appetizers were awesome!
The venue was absolutely beautiful! However our food was not up to par. We had specifically design an all 8 course seafood menu, and to our shocking astonishment some of the food was not served. Which left our guest still very hungry and disappointed. When we had found out after the wedding what had happened, the manager and the coordinator didn't seem to feel they did anything wrong. All i have to say is be aware of everything when going here for food and wine. Which makes us more curious if they cheated us on the food, how about the open bar that we had that day. Overall, the food was good, if you go for american food, but if you are asian-do not attempt what i did. If you do, go for the traditional american menu. Even though all this had happened, we still manage to have a great time.
When I first saw this place it was absolutely perfect. It was able to accommodate our needs by having the ceremony and the reception in one location. The first Event Coordinator at Loch Lloyd was a hot mess [Lisa Bowles] we later came to the understanding that this was due to the fact that she was leaving her position with Loch Lloyd. Her replacement, Rachael, was a breath of fresh air and managed to qualm all our previous issues and concerns. She was very accommodating with everything we desired and our several site visits. The day of the wedding Rachael did everything necessary to make sure the entire event ran smoothly by joining forces with our DJ [Chara]. Loch Lloyd and it's staff was able to follow our detailed instructions almost to a "t", our only set back was while the staff was packing up our centerpieces - managed to break the table number off of EACH crystal centerpiece, leaving me with $230 of worthless merchandise. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like surprises and would have appreciated the heads up before seeing all of my centerpieces in pieces! In the grand sceme of things I would recommend Loch Lloyd to others, but would warn brides to make detailed arrangements for everything (i.e. set up/tear down instructions/diagrams, pictures, getting ready, seating charts, etc.) in order to ensure flawlessness for your special day.
The setting was beautiful and the planning seemed to be fairly easy until the day of our wedding. We found out the event was understaffed and the coordinator was very rude to the wedding party, family, and guests.
