Custom Ceremonies by Sarah

I actually met Sarah in grad school and realized she had this business when I was looking for an officiant and recognized her. We cannot thank the universe enough for crossing our paths this way. She took the time to meet with us separately in order to help us with our vows and also create a ceremony that was centered around our beliefs and what marriage meant to us. Everything about our ceremony was perfect, and so many people came up to us to compliment us on how beautiful the ceremony was. Sarah is not only our officiant, but someone we will forever hold close to our hearts throughout the years. Thank you Sarah, for everything!

I have thought a lot about what to write in Sarah's review. We were married exactly one week ago today almost to the minute and it truly was the most perfect ceremony we could've asked for. Sarah is the whole package. And I really mean that. Not only is she physically beautiful so your ceremony photos will still look great if she is in them (she gracefully stepped aside for ours), but she has the most lovely voice and somehow kept us calm, yet excited, throughout our ceremony. Sarah worked with us and got to know us as individuals and as a couple. We each had secret phone calls with her so we could surprise the other with details the other didn't know were shared about our love and our relationship. I felt that we were a trickier couple because we are not religious, yet our families are. And to honor them we wanted a few small references and a passage that were religious but not a specific mention of God, etc. Sarah sent me many options for this and for our vows and not only did she encourage us to mix and match, she told us that if it didn't feel right, that we could find something elsewhere and she'd give her opinion on it. We took both her suggestions and found our own vows and she was incredibly supportive and resourceful for everything. We then asked her to read a children's book about dinosaurs in love and she did so, even showing our guests the illustrations! Finally, as if our requests were not random enough already, we asked her to throw in a few LOTR quotes because we do love movies and are kind of 'nerds' in a way, plus we explained to her the inside joke that we held from a LOTR reference on our first date. With no hesitation she agreed and was excited to help us get started. At no point did we feel like she didn't want to work with us. I always got responses so quickly no matter what the time or day. She promised I had no stupid questions even when I felt silly asking them and she never made me feel like I had no idea what I was doing. Her rates were completely worth every penny. When it came to our ceremony, we had a very small group and actually met the day of for a quick run through. We laughed and joked and stress was never felt with our walk through with her. It was an instant feeling of friendship like we've known each other for years when we finally met in person! She has the perfect personality to give loving, constructive suggestions and assistance without feeling pushy or like she knows better (even though she does and has done so many weddings!) We were floored at our ceremony when we finally were hearing it all come together. It was so beautiful, so unique, so us! Exactly what we had hoped for! And after, we realized our guests LOVED her too! Whether married for 20+ years or soon to be engaged, we got so many questions about how we found her, and some didn't believe that we happened upon her with as amazing as she was. We truly feel so amazingly lucky to have found her. When we did our initial call with her to discuss the basics and decide whether we wanted to work with her, my then fiance looked at me and nodded before we even got off the phone. She was the one who would marry us. And he was so right. We are actually a little saddened that our time with Sarah has come to an end. And that we didn't get a photo with her! But I will be referring her to everyone from now on. In all seriousness, if you book Sarah, it will be one of the best decisions that you make for your wedding day. I promise. Thank you Sarah!

Sarah was the absolute sweetest! She is so kind and open to all of our ideas and wants in our wedding ceremony. We told her a rough idea of what she wanted and she went above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of! Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

I can't sing Sarah's praises enough! She makes each ceremony personal and she puts her heart into everything she says. She worked with us to help us identify exactly what we wanted and then created a completely personal and memorable ceremony. Our wedding was wonderful and something well never forget!
