CV Rich Mansion

Glad to see that the beautiful venue we had for our reception in 1986 is still as wonderful as ever. Our October wedding was perfect from start to finish. The big difference was that we had to do a lot of the leg work ourselves. Back then we had to provide the liquor ourselves. It was also only an incredible $23 per person!! Our photos at this amazing setting were filled with autumnal color, just why we planned a Fall wedding. Good luck to all the future newlyweds.

We were looking for a venue easily accessible from all directions, near an airport, hotel, and with a lots to do nearby. Christine was our point person from day one. Communication with her was timely and transparent throughout the entire process and her professional demeanor made our experience stress-free. As an out-of-state couple, she was super helpful providing insight, sending pictures, answering questions as they popped up, and scheduling a few visits for us before and after the wedding. Upon arrival for the rehearsal, we met with Christine and Michelle, who were a great help to us and our families - from the many questions to the many boxes of decorations we brought in, they had positive attitudes and were able to create a beautiful day for us with the help of their team. Christine suggested having our rehearsal dinner nearby at their sister property, Sam’s of Gedney Way. This is also where we had our initial tasting for the wedding menu (which was a blast) and the rehearsal dinner was just as fun as our wedding. We had a private room on the enclosed patio, which was perfect for our group. The food was unbelievable and the service was amazing. We were able to meet May, head bartender for our wedding, who worked both of these events - she was phenomenal. Photos of the mansion were great - we booked this venue without even visiting - but once we were able to see it in person, it was so much better than we thought. There were so many rooms and windows that let in natural light throughout the mansion. The rooms were already so nicely decorated, we didn’t need to do much to them. There was plenty of room for the items that we did display. The sun rooms were my favorite, and were so perfect for our portrait photos when we were unable to have them outside due to the rain. Having two separate bridal suites upstairs the whole day/night was ideal; this private area was great for getting dressed and storing our personal items during the event. With rain in the forecast, Christine was texting with me all morning. We had to do the ceremony inside, but the team made the ballroom look absolutely beautiful and comfortably fit our 155 guests. Christine and Michelle had an assortment of the cocktail hour food sent up to the bridal suite for us right after our ceremony ended - that time with just the two of us (and food) was so essential, I recommend that to all future couples. The food was outstanding and our guests were blown away by our cocktail hour which included 8 passed hors d’oeuvres, 3 food stations, a full bar, and a coffee/tea/water station. The food during the reception was also phenomenal. Shoutout to May again who made sure we always had our water and favorite drinks replenished at our sweetheart table! Dessert was wonderful for those who weren’t too busy dancing or smoking cigars. We had a coffee/cappuccino/espresso cordial bar set up off the ballroom near the exit, but not many people knew it was there since there was so much going on in that room (photo booth, cigar roller table, full bar, and cordial bar, also where the bathrooms were located off of). At the end of the night, Michelle and the team did a great job packing up all the centerpieces and other decorations I made so we were able to come back and pick everything up the next morning. We loved everything about CV Rich Mansion and appreciate the people there who made our day so special and would love to go back again for another celebration!! Thank you!

I booked CV Rich Mansion in the middle of the Covid pandemic (summer 2020) for June 2022. Over the next 2 years, Christine was so helpful in quickly answering any and all questions. I was a very type-A bride and I am sure I was not easy to deal with at times, but Christine never made any question feel annoying or too small. Christine was also really accommodating with any special requests (e.g., unique signature drinks, food tweaks, etc.) Our guests RAVED about the food - multiple people told us it was the best wedding food they ever had. The venue speaks for itself. It is STUNNING both indoors and outdoors. It also feels so intimate -- like you are in a friend's home for the evening. I have absolutely no regrets about booking CV Rich mansion for my wedding and look forward to working with Caperberry hopefully in the future.

got married on September 25, 2021 and had the most beautiful wedding at the CV Rich Mansion - the party, the food and the catering service was just phenomenal and that is due to the hard work of Caperbery Events. We loved our wedding reception and it was perfect. My friends and family also LOVED our wedding and are still raving about the food and the venue three months later (people couldn't believe that they drive past it all the time and didn't know how beautiful it was!) I would definitely 1000% recommend this venue and Caperberry Events, but I caution brides that if working with Christine, she was not the most responsive and there were so many times I had all these questions of "where are the table seating plans" "when can i drop off things at the venue" "when do I finalize the menu" "when do we schedule our food tasting" and I had to be proactive with Christine and take initiative because she was too busy to do so. Both my husband and I felt often "lost" and was unsure of what came next in the wedding planning. It was challenging for me to be proactive with Christine (especially while working a full-time job) because I felt that it should have been the other way around - she should be asking me these questions and telling me when things need to be finalized and what needs to be done because she plans events all the time. I do stress that I liked Christine and thought she was very nice but would definitely recommend brides that work with Christine and use this venue will have to put the time in up front in making sure things get done.
