Desert Botanical Garden

We knew right away that the gardens were the perfect place for our Halloween Masquerade wedding. We initially checked them out with the intention of getting the Steele Herb Garden but fell in love with the Amphitheater instead. We could not have hoped for a more magical venue! Our wedding ceremony was after sunset and the gardens were lit up beautifully with various string lights. We hired a photographer with a lot of experience in catching moody low lighting so I cannot wait to see the results. I don't think we could have found a venue that would feel as magical as it did. The staff and coordinators at the gardens were helpful and informative every step of the way. As our plans changed they were more than happy to accommodate and work with us as needed. The whole wedding process was as painless as could be, which means a lot when you're doing a lot of the planning yourself. Not once did I feel that the process was too much. Be aware that the bridal suite is a repurposed room without many of the trappings you would find in designated bridal suites, so you may be limited in what getting ready shots will be available to you. But that is such a small thing in the grand scheme of things. The venue itself was very worth it, the mood and ambiance is something I don't think we could have possibly gotten anywhere else. A small side note but something we appreciated, the money earned from weddings goes to conservation efforts, which were very much about. Especially in a world of a million golf course weddings. If you're getting married in Phoenix I cannot recommend the Desert Botanical Gardens enough.

My beautiful bride and I got married at the Desert Botanical Garden in the Webster Center and had the best experience. The ambiance was gorgeous for our sunset ceremony and all of the preferred vendors did an amazing job. We couldn't have asked for a better supportive staff. The Garden did a great job accommodating us and is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Our wedding was in the most beautiful location! The staff was so easy to work with and they were checking on things throughout the day which made us feel so taken care of! Excellent choice!

What's everyone's worst night mare for their wedding? Having your venue cancel on you less than 10 hours before your big moment. That's what Desert Botanical did to my wife and I the night before our wedding day. We booked them as our venue about 11 months in advance. Every check in we did was done with a different "Wedding Coordinator," the biggest shock is when they called to tell us that weather was going to be an issue on our wedding day, and had no back up plan for us. Our coordinator kept saying normally in this situation we would move you indoors, or somewhere else, but we can't do that this time. Instead of working with us, she cancelled on us, leaving my wife and I with 10 hours to figure out how we were going to hold our wedding. They also didn't provide a full refund for any of this inconvenience, instead offering free tickets if we wanted to stage wedding pictures on site. They made what should have been one of the best times of our lives a living nightmare and it has tainted my wife's and I's view of them.

This venue is amazing! Just the right amount of communication and a beautiful location!

You can not find a more beautiful venue in Arizona than the Desert Botanical Garden!! I recently just had my DREAM wedding there and I would recommend this venue to any and everyone!! All the planning and communication went super smooth! It was a colder than normal November day and they were able to adjust on the fly with getting us heaters for the guests. The Bar was a HUGE hit, obviously! Marianne (The Beverage Manager) was a joy to work with and she made sure I had exactly what I wanted behind the bar. The bartenders were also incredible! 10/10 would recommend the Desert Botanical Garden if you are wanting a Dream Desert Wedding!

We had our wedding in Boppart Courtyard at the Dorrance Center. It was a very spacious, private, and a beautiful area to have our ceremony. The communication we have had with the representatives of the Desert Botanical Garden was prompt. We were happy to work with Samantha, the venue coordinator. She made the rehearsal go smoothly and the day of the wedding go effortlessly. It was evident she had experience with coordinating weddings. All of our guests had free admission to the garden the day of the wedding which was a nice inclusion. The Desert Botanical Gardens was a wonderful place to hold our wedding.

We had our wedding at Desert Botanical Garden last month and it ended up being more beautiful than I imagined it would be. We had our wedding at the Ullman Terrace and we received many compliments on what a beautiful setting it was. Since we got married in September, we were worried about the heat and while it was pretty warm for our pre-ceremony photos and set up, fortunately by the time of the ceremony, the terrace area was almost fully shaded and we happened to get lucky with nice weather after the sun went down (well, nice for Phoenix :)). We worked with 4 different coordinators from the first inquiry to our wedding day (Patrick, Ali, Amanda and Samantha) and there wasn't always a clear transition so we weren't always sure who to contact. Even though we worked with a few different people, each of them seemed very capable to handle and answer any questions we had. All of them were very kind and responsive to our emails. The staff on the day of was also very easy to work with. We also worked with Marianne for the bar set up and she was also responsive and easy to work with. We are really so glad we went with DBG for our wedding day and would do it over again in a heartbeat!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Desert Botanical Gardens. Everything from inquiring, booking, and pre-wedding communication was excellent! Even though we had a wedding planner to direct everyone, their day-of staff was there and ready to help with whatever was needed. We hosted our wedding in the Webster Center and it was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our smaller size wedding. We got some sneak peek photos back from our photographer and are just completely awestruck with how they turned out and the gorgeousness of the gardens. Highly, highly recommend!

The Desert Botanical Garden is an amazing location for a wedding. We've always loved it, so choosing it for our wedding venue made perfect sense! We got married in the Ullman Terrace and it was beautiful. The staff was very helpful throughout the process and they had great beverage options.

Absolutely beautiful setting to get married in. DBG is quick to respond to all emails and were very helpful with the planning process. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. Our wedding here was better than anything I could have imagined; like a desert fairytale.

We were engaged at the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG), so it was our dream to be married there as well. With some luck and good timing on our planner’s behalf (Your Jubilee), we were able to have our wedding in the Steele Herb Garden. Our DBG coordinator was Amanda and she was wonderful to work with. Very friendly and accommodating throughout the process, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful night. We were lucky enough to be there during the Chihuly exhibit, which added wonderfully to the overall beauty of the night. My wife is also allergic to most kinds of alcohol, with the exception of mead which the bar was able to stock specifically for her.

The garden was absolutely beautiful. Every one was prompt in their responses and Amanda was wonderful to work with. 10/10 would recommend!

Binn’s Wildflower Pavilion was the perfect venue for our wedding and the team at the Desert Botanical Gardens was phenomenal. Amanda especially was a delight to work with and took care of every detail. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had our wedding at the Binns Wildflower Pavilion in early March. The pavilion was excellent for our event. From the early stages of planning all the way to the day of the wedding the staff were very responsive to our questions. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude at every step of the way was instrumental to the success of our wedding.

I fell in love with the Desert Botanical Gardens and just knew we had to have our wedding here. It’s hard finding an outdoor venue in AZ but this met and exceeded every expectation! It was lovely, the coordinator Amanda and her team were very communicative and made it super easy. 10/10 recommend for a lovely outdoor Arizona venue.

What a beautiful outdoor venue highlighting the desert's natural beauty! We booked the ampitheather and wildflower pavilion for our wedding last weekend, and the coordination team (Ali & Amanda) went above and beyond to make our wedding a magical night. Their approved vendor list helped us find a great caterer (Fresh From the Kitchen), and the garden staff even helped us take centerpieces & gifts to our car at the end of the night. Highly recommend if you're looking for an outdoor wedding venue.

All of their venues are beautiful, we chose the Webster Center and the ceremony backdrop was unbelievable. Amanda was our primary point of contact and she was a pleasure to work with, she was responsive and accomodating. We were fortunate enough to also get to experience the Chihuly Exhibit on display during our wedding which really made for some wonderful photos. Future brides just be aware that there is a list of caterers that you will need to choose from, this was mandatory so you are a bit limited in this respect. The other vendors on their preferred list are not mandatory to choose from, but they do like to meet with vendors off the list. They accomdated our request for a beer burro without any problems, but did have to meet with that vendor ahead of time. Overall we loved the venue and would recommend it to anyone.

Loved our venue! Beautiful space, we hardly had to decorate! Everyone was so nice and prompt to answer my questions. They are flexible to last minute changes. You're only paying for the actual space, no vendors are included at all. Instead, they had a list of verified vendors that you can choose to be there. If you bring in other vendors, they have to be approved by the gardens. Because of this, we exceeded our budget but it was worth it. Lastly, if you want a bar, you have to use their staff, which were awesome! Overall, great venue for any occasion. We did it all in 3 months and it was perfect!

This is a beautiful venue and place to have your ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for and outdoor wedding, check them out. They are very responsive and helpful, offering suggestions at various planning stages. Sunset weddings in Arizona are pretty, but at the Desert Botanical Garden they are gorgeous and magical!

We had the most amazing wedding here. It was summer and HOT - but we had our wedding indoors and it was fantastic.

We had an absolutely perfect wedding at the Amphitheater this spring - as soon as I got in touch with Patrick I knew we were in good hands. He was so kind, responsive to every question we had throughout the process, very flexible with our schedules since we live out of state, and such a genuine pleasure to work with. The venue was gorgeous and our pictures came out better than I could have imagined. I was expecting wedding planning to be really stressful, but we hardly had to stress about any details at all throughout the whole process, and without a doubt, we have Patrick to thank for that. I'm so grateful for the experience we had there - it was the first time to the Garden for most of our guests who came from out of town, and they were just as in love as we were with the warm and inviting atmosphere of the place. I truly can't recommend it enough!

I got married June 5th at the gardens and it was an absolute dream! We used the amphitheater as our ceremony space and hosted a dinner at Gertrudes within the gardens. Since,I was planning a wedding from New Mexico Patrick was extremely helpful in helping me with all the small details and getting me in contact with Gertrude’s to have the perfect meal. I loved everything about our wedding and I gladly would get married in 100° weather again☺️

We were married at the Desert Botanical Garden in the Steele Herb Garden venue space which is completely outdoors. This venue space was perfect for our wedding of 40 people. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the venue space. Patrick Hanson was our venue planner for us from start to finish. He was a true pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for us. He made planning a wedding during COVID completely manageable and assured me that we would be able to have our perfect day regardless of what COVID brought. Patrick is professional, patient, and has such a fun personality. You can truly tell he loves his job and is gifted at what he does. Our wedding day went smoothly, there wasn't a single issue that I knew of and Patrick took care of coordinating all of our other vendors with ease. The garden grounds were perfect, our photos turned out beautifully, and our guests raved about how gorgeous everything was. Our wedding was a dream come true & we wish we could relive our wedding day all over again!

All I can say is wow! Our wedding was the most beautiful night and everything that we could have hoped for. Patrick is a true gem, without him our wedding wouldn't have been what it was. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, especially during a pandemic when we thought none of this would be possible. Not only does the Desert Botanical Gardens deserve 5 stars as a venue but he does too. It was a night we will never forget and we cannot thank him enough for all he did for us.

I am SO happy we chose the DBG for our wedding venue! We were married in mid-August, and even though it was fairly toasty, our photos were absolutely breathtaking! The beauty of the gardens makes for a stunning and magical wedding day experience. The indoor reception hall was also quite lovely, and we couldn't have been happier. Besides the beauty of the gardens, we had a great experience working with Patrick! He was so prompt with communication, and helped us out so much, especially when we had to postpone our wedding. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to get married in Phoenix, and the prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend!!

The gardens are extremely well-maintained and make for a picture-perfect wedding backdrop. From the beginning, the team at DBG was responsive. They made their policies very clear and easy to follow. When the COVID-19 outbreak ruined our plans for our April 5th wedding, the team at DBG was quick to respond and make things right! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue and the peace of mind of a wonderful event team.

Choosing the Garden for our wedding venue was the absolute perfect choice! The staff were absolutely amazing, from fast communication online, to friendly service in person. They knew exactly what to do and how to direct us to ensure our day was a success - which it was! Our guests were completely blown away by the beauty of the Garden and it was the perfect backdrop for our Arizona succulents & cactus themed wedding. There are so many gorgeous venue options within the Garden to fit your taste and budget, and many more breathtaking photo spots. "Enchanting" was the word our guests kept using and I completely agree. The whole day felt like a fairytale!

We held our wedding at the Webster Center at DBG, with our ceremony/reception on the Ullman Terrace and our cocktail hour on Eliot Patio. It is truly a stunning venue space and easy to adapt to your wedding vision. Katelyn and Patrick, and the entire DBG team, were so professional and easy to work with. With so many of our friends and family traveling to Arizona for our wedding, it was really special to show them a unique desert space. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

We have always loved the DBG, so when we got engaged we decided to explore having our wedding there and it was the best decision we could have made. Patrick was wonderful to work with, Marianne and her staff were all extremely helpful and professional, and provided a lot of good options for beverage service depending on our budget. Our wedding turned out better than we could have imagined. The garden has so much natural beauty that we were able to reduce costs for things like flowers/decor. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a place in the valley to get married to check out the garden. The staff was all very responsive and attentive to our needs.

The DBG was an excellent venue for our wedding! Patrick was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, addressing all of our questions and concerns promptly. They work with their vendors closely and often, so the work seamlessly together. Most of our guests were from out of town, so they all loved the desert scenery and took advantage of the gardens during their visit.

The Desert Botanical Garden staff was extremely responsive from the beginning of planning all the way through to the day of our event. Their expertise in working with our caterer really helped tie everything together and create the kind of event that wowed our guests. We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens. We planned our wedding from out of state, but Katelyn and Patrick made it incredibly easy to do. They were great with communication, adjusting our needs and making changes even up until the day before our wedding. I loved that we had access to 3 different spaces in our package, which allowed us to be flexible in where we had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We loved that we have a room to relax in right before the ceremony. I would highly recommend the DBG to anyone wanting an amazing, beautiful desert wedding.

I love the Desert Botanical Garden, it is one of my favorite places in all of Phoenix, so when I got engaged, I knew there was one place I wanted to get married. Patrick and Katelyn made the venue booking process a breeze and were very helpful with all of my questions. Marianne assisted with the bar service and was fantastic. She helped us find a way to make everything work within out budget. It was truly my perfect wedding venue!

Patrick and the team at Desert Botanical we're great from start to finish with helping to plan our wedding. With the way they work and communicate it's obvious they do weddings flawlessly all the time. That being said, they do not mean that your personal, special details go by the wayside, they were sure to pay close attention to the things that were important to me on my special day. This was also a destination wedding for us, and being across the county, they made it so easy to plan from a distance. We greatly appreciate all of their efforts and it was unforgettable.

The staff was amazing from the initial day of inquiry to the day of the wedding. All of my questions were answered quickly! The amphitheater was beautiful. I would 100% recommend to any bride searching for something affordable and just simply put, gorgeous!

If you’re getting married in Phoenix... you should definitely consider the DBG. Not only do the funds from your wedding go to a great cause for conservation, the setting is beautiful and the coordinators are accommodating, flexible, and so on top of it that it’s not even funny!!! On my wedding day, during a particularly dry “rainy” season in Phoenix, I got an email from Patrick at 8am that there were potential for thunderstorms during our ceremony but not to worry, he had a backup plan! All of this before I even thought to check the weather. When I arrived to the venue (which has big open spaces for the bridal parties to get ready—separately, and beautiful areas for a first look), Patrick immediately showed me his backup plan and it was already set up, just in case! Thankfully he did that because while the rain disappeared, a sandstorm rolled in!!! We had the best wedding ever and beautiful photos— make sure you ask their advice on which photographers to use! They also have a variety of venues to fit most budgets. I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Our day was absolutely perfect!

The Desert Botanical Garden was absolutely magical as a wedding venue. The grounds are gorgeous all the time but during the spring it takes your breath away. Our wedding was in April 2019 and I’m sure I will daydream about it forever. Patrick Hanson is one of the event coordinators there and he will have your back from start to finish! I went to him with many questions and concerns and he was always very responsive and ready to help. The team at DBG helped me to make our wedding day so special. The only negative I have is arranging the bar. You have to use the Garden to supply your drinks and the person in charge of this (not Patrick) can be very difficult to communicate with. However, when I had those issues Patrick helped me get it resolved. Overall, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I am so thankful to the Desert Botanical Garden.

We selected Dorrance Center at the Botanical Garden for our wedding for its natural beauty. What we got in addition to that were great coordinators in Katelyn and Patrick and a wedding we will remember forever. Our guests enjoyed every moment of it and many took advantage of exploring the Garden at large. I could not think of a better venue to have held our wedding at.

We could not have had a more delightful and beautiful wedding for our daughter than the event held at DBG. The venues were perfect for our small ceremony and reception, and Patrick was most helpful and enthusiastic at every step. Getting married at the garden was one of the best decisions we have made. It was truly a magical day, thanks to the professionalism and capability of the garden staff. My husband and I got married at the Steel Herb Garden and I couldn't rave about it enough. It was such a beautiful venue and it didn't really need any decorations since it is such a beautiful spot. It was a nice intimate area of the gardens and you can also see Camelback Mountain from the venue. Also, my guests were able to nip out for a little bit and enjoy the light show that the garden has going on right now. Katelyn and Patrick are both the wedding event coordinators for the DGB and they are both lovely people to work with. They were super friendly and accommodating! I had a lot of people come up to me and say that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to!

We can't even describe the complete joy we felt on our wedding day at the Desert Botanical Garden! The venue was just perfect weather wise and the garden is so picturesque. I was able to get my money shot, a sunset picture with the Chihuly! Katelyn and Patrick were there at the venue to make it all run seamlessly. Our ceremony was held in the amphitheater and reception at Binns Wildflower Pavilion. Atlasta catered the event, Stevie D and Xray Vision was the wonderful band, our beautiful flowers by Fred's Flowers, Mary Sandy @marysandyphotog captured our joy in the photos. If you get a chance to get married at #DBG you won't regret it, it is worth it!

This place was amazing. Beauful. Everything we wanted. Romantic and personal. Everyone there was on point and had everything covered perfect. Couldn’t be happier.

Katelyn is a dream to work with. The garden is the most magical place to get married. The natural beauty requires ZERO additional decor. The staff at the garden make every part of the process easy, fun and special. The grounds are a photographers dream come true with lighting at sunset that will proudly be displayed in your photos for years to come. The fact that our out of town guests got to come to such a beautiful location and fully experience what Arizona has to offer was a complete joy. Both the bride and groom got a room to themselves for their bridal party to sit in prior to the ceremony which made it easy to store things and gather oneself before such a monumental moment. Guests of the garden were more than polite getting out of the way for photos etc. Love and support was felt every step of the way the day of. I can also share that the price for everything we got was TOTALLY worth it and well in line with our budget. They do have options for every budget which is refreshing compared to other venues in and around this area. A must add to your list of locations to check out as you consider where to say your "I do's".

Beautiful venue! Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Only negative was some decorations that were accidentally left were thrown out, but it was an excellent place with a beautiful Herb Garfen for cocktail our and wildflower garden for the reception.
