Price Gauger & Dishonest Business Practices Words cannot express what it feels like to be taken advantage of as a person and bride to be. Experiencing price gauging and the bad business practices from Destiny Bridal Dress by owner Ledisbel Rodriguez was too much for me stay quiet. If you are looking to shop here, don’t trust the pricing given nor the products you’re being sold. Double check prices at other locations and note how the product is sold in its original state. Such as product model numbers, tags and labels. I walked into Destiny Bridal Dress on November 2023, in which I had selected a wedding dress. I placed a $500 deposit and set up a monthly plan. My original wedding date changed from March 2024 to a much later date. I decided that the dress I had placed a deposit on was no longer the dress I really wanted and shopped around and soon after found the wedding dress. I contacted the owner and advised that I found a dress somewhere else. She agreed to give me a credit for a veil and I agreed. Fast forward to May 2024, I contacted Ledisbel and advised her that I was ready to shop for my veil with my $500 credit. I went into Destiny Bridal Dress on June and found a beautiful veil by Pronovias. I was so happy and it totally matched my wedding dress. Ledisbel stated that the veil cost over $1000, but she would sell it to me for $900. When she told me the price I trusted that she was honest with the price she offered and I said yes to the veil. She packed it up for me and said that all I owned her was $400 since I already had a $500 credit. I paid her and went home. When I went home I looked at my veil and realized that she had removed the original tag with the price and also cut the original designer label - (les ACCESSOIRES), from the hair comb. It felt and looked wrong. It made me think about my purchase and left me wondering if I really purchased a ProNovias veil. The next day I went to Pronovias in Coral Gables. I was able to try on the same veil and was given the price and model# in writing. The veil model is V_2105 in the 3x3.5 size for $510. When I heard the price I was taken back and felt deceived by the owner Ledisbel. I still wanted to give Ledisbel the benefit of the doubt and thought that she may have quoted me for the wrong veil. I called Ledisbel and explained what just happened at the Pronovias store and advised that the veil cost $510 + tax. I noticed that her tone changed from one moment to the next. The first thing she said is, I am so sorry for you. I am sorry that you found it for a cheaper price. But, that is my price and I am not giving you the money back. I mentioned to her that another bridal store in Coral Gables also had it for $550 as well. Once again Ledisbel was aggressive in her response and said that she has the right to price her items at what ever price that she would like. I expressed to her that I felt absolutely horrible about my purchase at her store and felt truly taken advantage of having been charged almost double the price when the veil is not worth $900. Ledisbel then advised me that she would be willing to take her veil back and give me another less expensive veil for my $500 credit. I agreed to take the Pronovias veil back and was given a no brand veil with no tags or label which I’m sure is not worth the $500 I had as credit at her store. My overall experience at Destiny Bridal Dress was horrible and I would never recommend shopping there.

After visiting 6+ stores in the area, I found my wedding dress at Destiny Bridal and could not be happier with the dress and my experience here. Ledis, the owner, is exceptional. She pays extreme attention to detail, sincerely cares for her clients, loves her work, and has a wide variety of gorgeous, high-quality dresses. I HIGHLY recommend Destiny Bridal for all future brides.
