Holly was so easy to work with. They made sure we had everything we needed, we’re super attentive the day of, and had fantastic communication leading up to the day! Beautiful venue and we were so thankful to have an indoor backup plan for the ceremony that was just as beautiful as the outdoor space.

I hate to leave such a negative review, but when you are spending so much money on such an important day, I think it is important to read honest reviews.
My husband and I recently had our wedding at Devil's Head Resort. The reason we chose Devil's Head was because of the convenience that the ceremony site, reception area, and lodging were all onsite.
Our first con was that Devil's Head booked our room block in the Lodge instead of the Inn . This wasn't a huge deal, but we definitely were given the idea that the room block would be in the Inn since it was basically connected to our reception site and we were never shown the Lodge rooms during our two separate tours of the property. Our guests commented on how dated the rooms in the lodge were, but we have no idea what they looked like since we were only shown the Inn. We also rented 3 of the 6 condos for Friday and Saturday night. The front doors of 2 of the 3 condos we rented didn't work. If we left the condos, we had to leave the doors opened and unlatched or we would get locked out. Being a wedding weekend, we had a lot of expensive things in these condos so it was definitely not ideal to have to leave the doors completely open whenever we left.
Our second con of the resort is the bathroom placement. At the time of our tours, I thought the placement of the Clifthaus bathroom was inconvenient... The Friday before my wedding my mom and I were walking around the resort and wanted to check out the bathrooms again. When we went downstairs to look at the bathrooms that we thought were so inconvenient, they were completely torn apart, under construction, and not usable. The venue never gave us a heads up, or a warning that the bathrooms may not be usable. After we brought it up to them, the only solution they had was to use a bathroom that was even further away, or to go outside, around to the Devil's Den bar, and use the bathroom on that side. We had a few guests that were older and handicapped that shouldn't have had to venture that far to go to the bathroom.
The final con was the food. It was honestly embarrassing. Everything was completely different than our tasting. The first course salad was SO small. When the waitstaff set my salad in front of me, it was almost laughable. The lettuce didn't even cover the bottom of the plate. For the main entrees we chose the Beef Tenderloin Tips Bourguignon with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and maple glazed carrots, chicken marsala, and roasted vegetable tortellini. The beef entrée for our wedding was nothing like what we had for our tasting. The carrots were not maple glazed, they just tasted like under cooked carrot slices. The beef was the worst part. Each guest received 4 tiny pieces of beef on top of the side of potatoes. The portion of the beef was so tiny, it was not even a quarter of the amount we received for our tasting. It was definitely not enough to feed a grown adult. Many of our guests commented on the tiny portions of beef. The next morning we spoke with the front desk and the answer they have us was "beef prices have doubled". To me, this is no excuse to cut our meals so drastically from our tasting.
Again, I don't like leaving negative reviews, but when you are spending so much time and money on a wedding, you want everything to be perfect. I understand things don't always go according to plan, but theses issues were very disappointing and embarrassing.

We could not have asked for a more perfect Wedding Venue and overall day. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and as the first wedding of the season I think we kicked it off with bang. We were able to do our ceremony in their main outdoor area with a beautiful little stream and nestled under the trees. We also were able to take pictures on their stunning golf course. The Cliffhaus reception rooms created a beautiful back drop to our simple and elegant wedding vision that kept the heart of spring at the center. The food was also pretty incredible and all in all my husband and I look back on the day and all we can say is that it was utterly perfect!

We had our wedding and reception at Devil's Head October 13th 2018 and it was fantastic! Holly in Group Sales was AMAZING. She made it so easy to plan the perfect weekend. She went above and beyond at helping us make our plans, including responding in a very timely manner to any calls and emails I sent her way. When we couldn't find any local venues for a ceremony, she was able to find us a space to put up a tent on site.
The Cornucopia room was the perfect room for our 120 guests - enough room for a dance floor, appetizer tables and cocktail area, as well as perfect ambiance and windows looking out onto the fall foliage. We loved that the rooms were affordable so that our guests, who were primarily from out of state, were able to easily stay multiple nights so that our friends and family were able to spend quality time together. Having a bar and restaurant on site were essential. And to top it off, there was a firepit available outside the bar for our after hours gatherings.
Everyone single person we worked with, from the bar manager to the chef, to the general manager, was extremely accommodating and eager to help us get what we wanted for our special day. The servers and bartenders really took care of us all night and made it so easy to have fun all night long!! The food at the reception was fantastic - our guests raved about the portions, the flavor and the fact that everything was warm when delivered.
Overall, we could not have been happier with our wedding weekend at Devil's Head Resort.

The price was incredible and the scenery was amazing. Many guests approached us after the wedding to comment on how beautiful the setting was. The group sales/event staff was great and attentive from the moment we contacted them all the way through booking, planning, and the wedding. The hotel rooms are below average (leaky roof, outdated, etc.) but you don't plan a wedding around where you sleep and the price for the rooms (about $100) couldn't be beat. The food was great and the wait/bar staff were professional and courteous. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants to plan an outdoor/scenic wedding and especially for those trying to have a beautiful wedding on a budget.

It was really great food but an hour before our set ceremony time, we still had no chairs and my husband had to scramble to find someone to set up 200 chairs. It was beyond frustrating.

Devil's head took care of a ton of the work for our ceremony and reception. It was a beautiful space and they were extremely accommodating. The food was out of this world. Almost all of our guests made a point to tell us how good it was. The Bartenders that we had were so fun and professional. It was an amazing day!

We had our wedding here June 24th and cannot say enough about Devil's Head Resort and the staff. Melissa was very prompt in returning emails and answering any questions and was so nice! The day of our wedding there was a little rain, the staff was out wiping off chairs as soon as it stopped. The setup/takedown crew, wait staff, bartenders were seriously amazing, people raved about the service. It was the best day ever! You will not be disappointed if you chose them for your wedding!

I don't even know where to begin. Whatever I say in this post won't do justice to how special our day was, and so much of that was thanks to Holly and Melissa and the rest of the Devil's Head Resort staff.
Holly and Melissa made our wedding so perfect. We did not have a wedding planner, but both of them made the daunting process of planning a wedding so much easier. Our wedding was planned in less than 7 months, and, honestly, I didn't feel stressed with the short time frame because they were so easy to work with and made the entire process manageable. Holly and Melissa were professional, kind, and very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. They really went above and beyond their responsibilities to make our day so special.
The venue is simply beautiful. We were in the smaller room, which is called "Dantes" for our reception. The room was just perfect. It has large windows that bring the outside beauty inside. The room required very little decorating because it also has a beautiful fireplace and exposed beams that we strung soft white lights on. The room is very romantic, a little rustic, and sort of a blank canvas for whatever decorating you choose to do (or not to do because, again, it is beautiful on it's own).
Unfortunately, the day of our wedding there was rain, so we had to have the ceremony inside instead of on the golf course. And, the regular rain back up was already rented. However, Holly and Melissa worked so hard to get the other reception room, the Cornucopia Room, set up to look like a wedding ceremony venue. And, it was beautiful. While it was obviously my preference to have the ceremony outside, it turned out beautifully and our guests were happy we didn't make them sit through the rain :)
The food was delicious - we ordered the beef tips and the salmon. The prices were very affordable. Most importantly, the food came out hot, fresh, and looked appetizing! The portions were just right - not too much food so that portions were being wasted, but definitely a big serving.
To cap everything off, the resort has a hotel so all of our guests could stay without having to drive or shuttle. Our guests partied with us until the DJ was finished at 11:45pm, and then our guests headed to the bar at the resort and continued the party into the morning. Needless to say, everyone was raving about how much fun they had that night.
Our wedding was so perfect. I honestly can't think of a single thing that went wrong, and that was because Holly, Melissa, and the rest of the Devil's Head Resort staff worked so hard to make our day special and stress free.
Do yourselves a favor - book with Devil's Head - I promise you and your guests will remember it for a lifetime!

The natural beauty is wonderful at Devil's Head Resort. The food was pretty good as well. However, their staff is EXTREMELY disorganized. The head of group sales did not show up to our rehearsal which caused a lot of stress because we didn't know which room to get ready in the next day, where to line up, and how to pay our bill, etc. This was the most extreme case of disorganization but there were many other cases as well. The front desk didn't know there was a wedding going during our rehearsal and when our bridal party showed up and asked where to go, they were told there wasn't a wedding there at all! Also, our guests had lots of their room reservations get mixed up. My mother-in-law pre paid for two rooms with her credit card and arrived the day of our wedding and was told she owned 36 cents! Many of our guests were told that they didn't make a reservation when they had made it months in advance and PAID FOR IT! If you are looking for a cheaper place that is laid back without organization, book here. It is a beautiful venue OUTSIDE. Inside, the hotel rooms are old and musty. If you do NOT want to spend your wedding day trying to find staff members around the resort to help you and your guests, please RUN AWAY FROM THIS VENUE! We had a beautiful wedding but the week leading up to our wedding was the MOST stressed out I have ever been because the staff would not return my calls, emails or show up for the appointment we had for our rehearsal.
