I discovered Diamond Vault of Troy a couple of years ago and was impressed by Randy's approach, knowledge, and sincerity. I planned at that time to have him design a very special diamond ring for me. As life (and the pandemic) got in the way, my plans changed. 2 years later, I ended up going to a jeweler closer to where I live and work thinking they were also a good fit. Sadly, that turned into a frustrating experience when they reneged on their word and more than doubled the price unexpectedly. I wasted time and money paying for a now useless CAD design. I almost gave up my idea of having my special ring made due to the way I was treated at the other jeweler. However, I always kept Diamond Vault of Troy in mind. So, just before giving up, I called them and asked if my idea was doable for the price I had in mind. They said yes and turned my frustrations into a wonderful experience. I worked closely with Holly who made it all possible. She is a very talented artist/jeweler and a fabulous person. I felt heard and appreciated -- something rare in these trying times. Holly explained every step in the process and patiently answered my questions. The idea to create this ring for myself started a few years ago and swirled with a lot of emotions and a few road blocks. It can sometimes be the most difficult thing to do something extravagant for yourself. Holly made it happen in way that made it feel right. She designed a ring I absolutely love that combines beauty with strength to be worn every day. I very much appreciate Randy and Holly and the Diamond Vault of Troy.

We were recommended Diamond Vault by a dear friend of ours and they truly did not disappoint. Randy educated us on diamonds last year when we were first looking and put no pressure on us as we weren’t quite ready to shop. This was huge since every other jeweler was calling us as soon as we left, wondering when we’d be back in. I would give the Diamond Vault of Troy 20 stars if I could! We worked with Holly to design our custom engagement ring, and the process could have not been any more perfect. I came in knowing the general design I was drawn to and 4 C's diamond basics, but she educated us about diamond fundamentals, hands on. I learned so much in just an hour than I ever did through the internet. With that knowledge, we hand-picked our diamond and were so comfortable with our decision, design, and the value behind our diamond ring. The ring turned out perfect. On top of their A+ quality product, the customer service was top-notch. No pressure, no sales pitches, they treat you like family.

This is a fantastic place to design your own dream ring! My husband and I made an appointment with Randy back in April to explore the types of rings available. He explained in depth every part of their designing process and taught us the history of diamonds! He was very honest and made sure to keep us within our budget. Randy really made us feel like the most important customers and every single person who sees the ring says how stunning it is. I also brought in a bracelet for resizing and Tim took the time to explain what type of metal it was and how exactly they would be sizing it down. My fiancé and I wanted to design our rings. After beginning our adventure with another company, we were unsatisfied with the lack of progress after four months of back and forth. After meeting with Randy once, our design was near perfect! Not only is the staff friendly and quick, they are experts at what they do! Diamond Vault of Troy was FANTASTIC. If you're in the market for engagement rings in metro- Detroit (or anywhere), start here. I worked with Randy, one of the owners. As someone who prides himself in taking the time to understand what I'm purchasing before making a big purchase, I really appreciated Randy's guidance and patience. Before even showing you rings, he walks you through the 4 Cs (cut, clarity, color, carat), and their respective importance depending on the type of cut you are looking for. I can be pretty type-A, so I had already learned a lot of this info before even beginning my shopping process. But Randy took it a step further and even broke down the science behind what makes a diamond truly special ; as opposed to just a hard rock. Randy and his staff are very responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied every step of the way. Once I communicated my target diamond grades and budget, Randy called his sources and had diamond after diamond delivered for me to inspect. And when we finally found the one (1.2 ct, D, VVS2, Emerald-cut, with Excellent polish and Very good symmetry), he came down on the price to be close to my target budget. My ring easily would have cost over $25,000 at Tiffany's. I won't disclose what i paid, but let's just say that Tiffany's mark up is about five-figures. To top it off, the day after my fiance said yes, we came in for a resizing before driving back home to Chicago. Even though the process normally takes a few business days, Randy had his jeweler completed the resizing in an HOUR on the same day; just so my fiance could wear the ring on the car ride home. I couldn't be more appreciative of Randy and his team at the DVoT. They took the time to teach me the craft, and worked with me every step of the way. Everything was transparent; everything tailored to my needs. Even if I had ultimately decided to go a different direction, I learned how to get good value, and how to prevent other jewelers from taking advantage of me. Do yourself a favor and start here.

This experience was so great that I don’t even know where to start! Our initial meeting with Holly was very thorough, informative and fun, helping us to know our options and feel confident in understanding what we were choosing. She then helped us from start to finish on two custom rings. My fiancé’s was a more traditional setting but I was hoping for something a little different and Holly brought my dreams to life!

Tim is the man! If you are looking for a no pressure, easy going, but professional atmosphere then the Diamond Vault is the place you are looking for. Tim takes the time to educate you about diamonds without telling you what is "best." Your ring will be custom designed to perfection and it is always fun to stop by and visit with Tim and the staff while getting your rings cleaned. Timothy and the team made our search for the perfect engagement ring a joy. From the first visit we felt comfortable, gained tons of knowledge and felt we found had found a place that cared more about us than a sale. Timothy searched and found the most incredible stone at a price that couldn’t be beat. On to the setting design, the team worked closely through the entire process and with several iterations created the perfect setting. It was an exceptional experience and we have a jewelry store for life.

I was nervous when I knew my fiance was going to get my ring because he made jokes he'd get something he liked over what I liked. I am thankful he went with Diamond Vault of Troy and had Tim (the owner) help him out. He created a ring that was almost identical to images I sent him and I can't stop getting compliments on my ring for its uniqueness, which is what I wanted in a ring. We recently went back to get stabilizers added to my ring to keep it from turning and it was free of charge. The staff was attentive and helpful even though our follow up visit was without an appointment. There's so many chain stores out there that advertise and I'm happy my fiance did the research and chose a place that was local and also helped him customize a ring I could only dream up instead of sell him on a ring that would bring in better commission.

Randy and everyone at the Diamond Vault did such a great job helping my fiancé design my engagement ring a year ago! My fiancé came in with some pictures and ideas and Randy and the team created the perfect ring. After they did such an amazing job on the engagement ring we had to go back for our wedding bands. Tim is amazing! My now husband went to Tim when he was picking out my engagement ring. He and Tim designed the perfect ring for me and I absolutely loved it. I was very specific on my band in the fact that I wanted it to be curved and flush with my ring, but at the same time I wanted it to stand on its own so if I chose not to wear it with my engagement ring I could. He delivered the perfect band as well! I would recommend Diamond Vault of Troy for all your jewelry needs!

I'll have to say, I was a bit hesitant when my fiance wanted to pick the ring out himself and keep it a surprise (after all, it's such an important piece of jewelry)! But, Diamond Vault educated and guided him through the whole process and I absolutely fell in love with the ring when I saw it. It's beautiful and elegantly crafted. Because I don't live in Michigan, I visited Diamond Vault a few months after the proposal to get the ring resized and was very pleased when they said they could do it within 1 hour. Other large jewelry companies gave me an estimate of 2-3 weeks for a resize! The people here are very kind and sweet and I 100% recommend them.

The ring was gorgeous. So many compliments. Easy to work with. Able to design a ring just as was dreamed. There was a delay in making the ring which was a bit frustrating but otherwise happy with our experience.

Hands down the best jeweler around. I have been working closely with Randy and the experience has been unbelievable. My fiancé and I did a lot of shopping around at all of the chain jewelry stores (Jared, Kay, Zales, etc.) while looking at engagement rings before we came across Diamond Vault of Troy. We had read excellent reviews and went in with high hopes. We were anything but disappointed. Tim met with us and gave us a lesson on diamonds which answered a lot of questions that we were having while shopping around. We felt more informed and prepared to make this big purchase. Next, Tim asked about any ideas we had about the ring design and what cut I preferred. He then took out several diamonds, two at a time, and asked which one I liked best. We went through a process of elimination until the last diamond standing was the first one he put on the table. We then looked at settings and as I said what I liked or disliked about each, he took thorough notes. He then drew a sketch containing everything I had said to the T. It was absolutely perfect. He made a CAD wax model of what the setting would look like so that I could try it on. He dropped the center stone in the wax model so that I could have an idea of what it would look like without actually seeing the ring. When my fiancé proposed and I saw the ring for the first time, it was even more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined. It was exactly what we had hoped it would be, plus more. My fiancé and I were impressed with everything about Diamond Vault of Troy. I should also mention that we told Tim what our budet was and he stayed within budget while still creating the ring of our dreams. I would highly recommend that everyone check this place out if you are looking for an engagement ring or wedding band, or really any piece of jewelry. We were absolutely blown away. We will be back to design our wedding bands!

We cannot say enough great things about this venue! From the second you walk into the door, they make you feel welcome and really do a great job of making you feel important. I really enjoyed how they educated me on the 4Cs of the diamond, to help me find that perfect diamond for my fiance. Another thing that I really enjoyed about The Diamond Vault is that they never once made me feel pressured to make a purchasing decision, they did their best to guide me and teach me, but they left the purchasing decision to me... whereas other jewelers tended to pressure me and make me not feel valued as a customer. Moreover, I love how Tim really worked with me to make sure that I would get the most for my money. He even helped me find the perfect diamond and worked with me to design a beautiful engagement ring for my fiance. My fiance loves her ring, she frequently receives compliments on how beautiful and shiny her ring is! We love this place so much that we frequently go back for free ring cleanings, where the owners know us by name now and they always offer us coffee or a glass of wine to enjoy while her ring is being cleaned. Honestly, they're a great business and place to consider when considering where you want to buy that special purchase for that special someone.

My boyfriend and I recently started (seriously) ring shopping. The idea of ring shopping was intimidating for the both of us- especially him. We had shopped around at a few well-known places in the Metro Detroit area and left each store feeling uninformed and more confused than the last. After receiving a couple of recommendations about a jewelry store that had not-so-great Yelp reviews, I came across DVT. The reviews were amazing and almost looked too good to be true so we called and made an appointment. Upon walking through the door, it was a totally different experience than anywhere we had been. We received friendly greetings and were asked if we would like beverages. We were given the option to have a seat or look around at the engagement rings. We looked around alone at first to get an idea of what we liked, and soon after Rula came and joined us. I instantly loved her personality because she was so honest, yet truly took everything I had to say into consideration. After picking out a few settings, we had a seat at her desk (this was the first place we had been to where there were desks/offices and we preferred the privacy). This first appointment was a huge learning experience. We looked through diamonds and Rula taught us a lot that the Internet never mentioned. After weeks of going back and forth via emails and phone calls, we found a diamond that we all loved. At this point I had only met with Rula, but I knew Randy and Tim were working closely with Rula to help find the perfect diamond. The workers at DVT put in so much work to make their customers happy and I truly appreciate their efforts to find the perfect diamond for us. We did not want to rush things with such a big and important purchase, and no one ever made us feel pressured. That is the best thing about this place. It is much easier to shop for a diamond without the stress of a salesperson on your back, and DVT truly excels in this area. At the next appointment to take a look at the diamond, we met with Randy. His knowledge about diamonds is impressive. He has spent much of his life doing this so I knew he was an expert. I learned more from him in an hour than I did from months of research. He took us outside to see the diamond in the sunlight, showed it to us under other various light conditions, allowed me to view it under the loupe for over 10 minutes (LOL- I am pretty particular), and told us everything we needed to know without any sugar coating. We talked for a good 15 minutes even after the appointment about random things and shared a few laughs. My boyfriend and I left talking about how awesome everyone in that store is. This is the first jewelry store that we left with smiles on our faces and without anxiety. So far this has been such a pleasant and fun (who would've thought ring shopping could be fun?!) experience. I can't wait until I see the end product and I know it'll be amazing based on their attention to detail and patience with me. Things we loved most: zero pressure; workers treat you like family; full disclosure; the atmosphere (you never feel like you're lingering around and someone is there to give you 100% of their attention). This place is the real deal and I am so happy that we found a jewelry store that we love and can trust. I can definitely see myself being a customer for life and can't wait to come back in the future for other pieces. Make an appointment and see how great DVT is for yourself. You won't regret it!

My husband bought my engagement ring at the Diamond Vault and was extremely pleased with the service, so we returned to buy our wedding bands. I wanted an diamond infinity band in a channel set. The way it turned out was so much better than I imagined. It looks fantastic next to my engagement ring, but amazing on its own as well. My husband wanted something that didn't scratch easily but had a little design to it. The staff at the Diamond Vault were knowledgable and suggested a metal that would be perfect for his requests. I find him still excited at how his ring looks brand new. Overall a wonderful experience with welcoming people.

We were so impressed with not only the quality of their jewelry, but the knowledge of their staff. Randy and Tim are by far, the best jewelers around! I am beyond excited and happy with my rings! They are truly one of a kind and exquisite! The folks at the Diamond Vault will not let you leave until you are 100% satisfied...but I will say, it won't take long for you to be satisfied because they get it right the very first time!! We would recommend these folks to anyone! Their work speaks for its self but every member of their staff works hard and is very personable. We love the Diamond Vault of Troy!!!
