DJ Nix In The Mix

DJ Nix has been mixing since my husband's college days, and he knew immediately he wanted him for our special day. Pros: Nix had our guests on their feet the entire night and as per our request tailored our music flow based on the style of wedding we desired (Caribbean/Carnival inspired). His equipment is state-of the-art and up to date so based on the packages you select, you can rest assured in getting an all inclusive package (party lights, monogram, TV façade, clouds, sparklers, photo booth). Our first dance was magical and he listened to this note of us literally wanting to feel as if we're floating on clouds. He's accommodating in knowing how to have the music flow even if there are delays in the wedding day as there were mine when it came time for reception to begin. Cons: Our package called for music playing during cocktail hour and that wasn't done. We had to reach out to him to receive a copy of our photo booth photos as opposed to just receiving. I personally don't like having to chase people. Even though we provided him with an order of song/dances, they were still announced out of its order and I had to approach his area to get right. We also asked for a couple additional dances like garter toss from guest male with female guest that wasn't done. The MC skills noted in his contractual agreement are not as in-depth as you may think. He was mis-pronouncing names of members within the wedding party, and didn't highlight great additions to the wedding all night for guests to utilize (photo booth outside of ballroom, etc). Hire a separate MC if that's more your thing, because simple things like that would be vetted prior to the day. The up lighting we requested as part of our package was not the requested color (and we provided pictures for reference) and they didn't illuminate the room, which forced us to keep the ballroom lights on, and that wasn't what we wanted. Would recommend having a separate vendor for up lighting services. Overall: Services was good, just expected more considering we were wedding planning for 2 years, giving enough time to get every detail correct. Would still recommend him to others, but I'd stress to make sure you over state your needs for him on the day.

Listen if you’ve come across DJ Nix in the mix as you are scrolling , look no further. When I say he was everything, he was EVERYTHING!! Very mixed wedding guest group and he catered to them all. The music was absolutely perfect and the transition was flawless. He kept everyone on the dance floor. Not a dry moment. I am still getting compliment on the DJ. We partied all night. He was interactive with the group just enough to keep the part going but not so much we’d wish he’d stop lol. Great personality, very professional and affordable. He was worth every penny and so much more. I promise you will not regret hiring him as your DJ!!

This DJ is the best! I own a venue in Morrisville, PA and we booked this DJ for one of our promo parties and he had the party rolling! Wish I could give him a 10 star review! Highly recommend!
