DJ Prashant - Indian DJ in Chicago

DJ Prashant did an amazing job for our Garba, Baraat, Wedding, and Reception. He was easy to work with and did an excellent job mixing the flow of American and Hindi music for the reception. He also selected great background music to play that fit each event perfectly without distracting from what was going on. He was incredibly responsive to feedback and was happy to incorporate requests from friends and family.

DJ Prashant is very friendly, attentive, and overall great to work with! He was the DJ at my sister’s wedding 7 years ago and we knew we wanted him as our DJ for our own Baraat and Wedding Ceremony this past weekend. Prashant was very communicative prior to our big day, ensuring he had our day-of itinerary and song selections, while offering popular song recommendations too! Music is an important element for us personally and especially for our wedding events and we were pleased with how Prashant mixed songs and had seamless transitions from one to the next. The energy his music and Dhol player brought to the Baraat portion was also electric. The majority of our guests had never attended/experienced an Indian wedding before and they were all amazed and said they had a blast dancing to the music! My now husband (!) also isn’t Indian and this was his first Indian wedding experience and Prashant made him feel more comfortable in this new cultural experience for him and was very welcoming in general. We’re so excited to have DJ Prashant for our reception/ anniversary party in 2022!

Did a great job for our sangeet and baarat but the reception was awful. All the slow songs we specifically listed for the dance portion of the reception were played during dinner and so no slow songs were played for people to dance to at all. We also did not get a good mix of American and Indian music played at the reception. The DJ would play 10 Indian songs in a row and then 30 American songs in a row instead of a mix of a couple of each. Towards the end of the night, he also started playing rap music that was not great to dance to and honestly inappropriate for a wedding. Again we were super happy with the baarat and sangeet but wish we had hired a different DJ for the reception.

Our DJ was excellent and really kept the party going during the garba. He was able to accommodate all requests and even helped us with the sound for a number of dance acts we had prepared. He was very professional and courteous. Sound level was appropriate and his music choices really kept things going. Would highly recommend.

DJ Prashant was amazing! He was communicative and available whenever we needed to change anything. Prashant is very kind and attentive. Music was one of the most important elements to us and his ability to transition into different genres was amazingly perfect for our fusion wedding. Several wedding guests have reached out to me to comment on how amazing they thought our DJ was. I cannot suggest DJ Prashant enough. Thank you for helping to make our wedding amazing!

DJ in Prashant was great for our engagement celebration in Milwaukee, WI. Though he is an Indian DJ in Chicago, he was on time and set up with plenty of time to spare. His background as a live musician and sound engineer was so helpful as he monitored our live band's sound, and then when it came to Garba/Dandi Raas, he kept the party going with a great mix of evergreen songs and newer Bollywood hits. Prashant was professional in every way, and I highly recommend him!
