Very professional always kept me informed and was available when I needed them. Wedding was beautiful venue gorgeous. Would definitely use them again.
I had my wedding on 5/2/15 at the Doubletree RTP. I could not be happier with how everything came together. Cresen, the event coordinator at the hotel, did an excellent job. Any questions and worries were put to ease as she was prompt to email us back about anything we needed. We looked at many hotels in the area, but chose Doubletree RTP because of the atmosphere (it doesn't scream bland hotel) it looks more like a mansion or a country club. The food was excellent and the staff was awesome too! Thank you Cresen and staff for making our wedding a smooth and enjoyable experience!
The Double Tree was a excellent choice for our daughter's wedding. Cresen the wedding coordinator was fabulous. Every employee that we encounter at Double Tree was superior! If you are looking for a place for your wedding this is the place to be!!!
Cresen and Double Tree exceeded our expectations!
The Doubletree took excellent care of us right through the planning stages to the final event. The wedding package was an excellent value overall and allowed us to focus on some of the more fun aspects of wedding planning while the hotel took care of most of the logistics. They worked seamlessly with our DJ and photographer. We were made to feel like celebrities, and our guests loved the venue and felt right at home. I have to say, everyone at the Doubletree helped make our dream wedding a reality - Thank You!
The staff at the DoubleTree was there every step of the way for us. From the first day we walked in the door to the day after our wedding. They were attentive, helpful and very nice. I would recommend having your wedding there to anyone. They took the stress out of the planning and made the day a wonderful experience.
The DoubleTree by Hilton "Mansion on the Hill" was such a wonderful place to have our wedding reception. The wedding planners, catering and all staff were so courteous and helpful often going way out of their way to make sure we were having a smooth wedding day. I was very surprised by all of the decorations and use of extra rooms if we wanted to use them and free hotel stay for the bride and groom.
About 80% of our guests were flying in from out of town for the big day, so we wanted to help make things convenient for them. This location made it so easy - free shuttle from the airport, as well as anywhere within 15 miles, great room rates, and lots of restaurant/bar options nearby. The hotel staff was awesome in helping us make everything thing perfect - they really made you feel like you were their only client each time you met with one of them, even though they host hundreds of events and wedding each year. And the venue was beautiful. We held our ceremony in the back courtyard and it very comfortably sat our 100 guests, no problem. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married in the triangle, who has lots of guests flying in.
There was another wedding going on in the courtyard during our cocktail hour. My only problem with this was the guests left the ceremony through doors that led right into my cocktail hour. Otherwise everything was great.
Okay, first Lauren (wedding event coordinator) is amazing and I miss seeing her. The Hilton is beautiful and he food is delicious. They give you lots of different options also for food, places you want your reception, and cocktail hour. The service was really nice to. I liked that we got to stay there for free that night and the rooms were so nice! Only couple bad things that didn't really bother me since it was the best day of my life. I asked for Sparkling Apple Cider for the toast but they poured champagne. I also thought our room might have honeymoon additions (champagne, strawberries, etc). But overall the experience was OUTSTANDING! I would not change anything if I could again. It was truly perfect.
My first choice was The Hilton. After I found out that they were already booked up (My date was November and I asked in January), I was on the hunt for a different location. My maid of honor called 2 weeks later and they were available again! The first and second interactions with 2 different people were excellent service. My maid of honor and I were greeted with sparkling cidar and with cheese and fruit to discuss the packages and I was excited about all of the possibilities! Although I found out after 4 months that the assistant went to a different location, I called the overall manager and was assured she would take care of me. We met, she had met my dad and we were 3 months away from the actual day. She was the most detailed oriented and on top of her game! I couldn't have asked for a better person to be teamed up with! When my husband and I had a friend pass away the Sunday before our wedding, it was her - Lauren Hoffman Panameno - who stepped in and was able to work with our later time change due to the funeral early in the day. I thank Lauren for being there every step of the way for helping, creating, assisting, motivating, and all top of everything - making sure our wedding day was a success. My feedback to her manager - Danielle Oberlinder - when you have a change to staff, it is imperative that you call all of your brides who are under contract, and notify them because for me to call after I found out this news from another bride was not good customer service. I felt she was not attentive, could use more compassion and do a follow-up on her staff because Lauren was a gem and I couldn't have asked for a better venue because of her!
My husband and I had our wedding reception in Hilton back in July. It was the worst experience ever. During the planning phase, everything was great. I heard great reviews about the place and the wedding coordinator was great. But a week before the wedding the wedding coordinator left and they had someone new come in. I know Hilton couldn’t do anything about her leaving but they didn’t even contact me to let me know. I was kept calling her but they won’t even tell me that she left work.
Finally I got in touch with another lady who told me that the other coordinator left and she is going to take over. When I went and met with the new lady 4 days before the wedding (because that is when I found out), she told me that she wouldn’t be there because she is going on vacation and someone else will take over for her and I met with her also. When we first planned the event, we were told that we were going to be the only event that day. But 4 days before I was told that there is another conference in the conference room that day and they won’t be able to give us the room till 5pm-5:30pm. Our guest start arriving at 6:30pm. I was very upset but at that point I really couldn’t do anything.
Well, on the day of the wedding, I arrive there at 2pm and to my surprise not only is there a conference in the room we booked but there is another wedding party there. The person who was suppose to take over the new wedding coordinator was not there and we were told that some other lady will take over. She was very unhelpful. Nothing was ready on time, they fell short on every commitment they made. All the guest were lost cause of the poor management they did between the two wedding parties. Both of the wedding parties were upset. The coordinating lady did absolutely nothing. I heard from many and even saw my self that she was sitting at the bar and drinking all night long. Overall, a huge disappointment and I will never go to them again.
Our wedding at the Hilton was everything we could have imagined and more! Our day went smoothly and our ceremony site on the patio was so beautiful and intimate. We would recommend the Hilton and their wonderful staff to everyone!
My husband and I loved our wedding at the Hilton! We did an outside wedding, but we didn't want it in their usual courtyard area. They helped us find the perfect lawn location for our ceremony. We used the courtyard area for our outside cocktail hour and the Magnolia ball room for our reception. The steps leading into the ballroom, its unoriginal shape, and gorgeous chandelier gave our 110 person wedding a cozy feel. Some of our out of town family wants to return to this Hilton for family reunions!
My husband and I were married at the Hilton in April. We had the easiest time planning our wedding, had the most wonderful day and a fabulous reception. We cannot say enough about Devon and the entire Hilton staff. Everyone was so accommodating and made everything worry-free. Every single detail was attended to. I (as many brides!) would have random worries or questions, and they were always promptly answered and fixed. Our family and friends are still raving about what a wonderful wedding we had and how much fun flying in from out of town and getting to stay at the beautiful Hilton was. Even though the Hilton is local for us, we hope to stay there for upcoming anniversaries and would highly recommend the Hilton to anyone. it will always be such a special place for us.
