Drusilla Place Catering

There is really no where better to celebrate your special day. My wedding was perfect, and it's a huge thanks to Drusilla. We had a large band, and there was no trouble with them fitting their equipment and still plenty of room to dance. We had about 250 guests, and there was plenty of room to fit everyone comfortably. Most importantly, the food; a year later and random people still comment on how fantastic the food was, and how it was the best they've ever had at a reception. Brad is easy to work, and super helpful in helping you get what you want on your special day, for a reasonable cost! With all the stress that goes into a wedding, don't let the worry of being ripped off be one of them! The only regret I have is that it's over :((((

My wedding reception was beyond perfection! I considered several venues. A good friend mentioned that Drusilla had recently updated their catering facility and that is was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised after I met with Brad at Drusilla and compared pricing with the other venues. Drusilla’s pricing was significantly less allowing us to not only have an incredibly menu, we were also able to choose a premium bar package. The staff was very accommodating and always available to answer any questions. My florist, band and photographer also commented on how easy they were to work with. We had close to 200 guests and had adequate room and seating. The food tables were absolutely gorgeous. Everyone raved about the food. I hadn’t been to an event at Drusilla in several years and have to say that my friend was right..... the catering rooms are updated and beautiful. If you are looking for a beautiful place to have your wedding with great food, exceptional service and fair pricing (that looks like you spent a lot more;)...... Drusilla is my pick.

Having our reception at Drusilla made our wedding day PERFECT! The staff made everything so easy from the beginning all the way to our wedding day. Brad is easy to work with and very helpful. All of the staff at the reception were attentive and very friendly. The ballrooms were spacious enough for all of our guests. We had a large band (7 people) and they had enough room to fit all of their instruments as well as a large dance floor. I can not say enough good things about the food - it was INCREDIBLE! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

I had never heard of anyone having a wedding reception at drusilla (didn't know the ballrooms existed) but the room is beautiful. I had been to a dozen rehearsal dinners and events at Drusilla during my 26 years on Earth, who hasn't?? But not until I went with my *then boyfriend* to chaperon a prom, did I know about the big, beautiful ballroom and banquet hall Drusilla had to host events. After we were engaged and I got prices sheets & met with people from EVERY reception venue in BR, I went to meet with Brad Zito at Drusilla. Within 10 minutes, I knew without a doubt that this was 100% the place we wanted our reception. We even had the option of holding our reception at the City Club but chose not to. I couldn't possibly begin to say enough positive things about the service that we received. From going along with all of the little details that I mulled over, cooperating with my other vendors (florist, dj, photobooth, decorators, etc), helping me pick the menu, letting me come see a reception all set up an hour or so before it started so I could get a true feeling for the venue... Brad was incredible!!! THE EVENT We had right around 180 guests attend and with both of the rooms opened up with the huge pocket doors there was PLENTY of space for people to be comfortable, tons of room to dance... the food was GREAT, the drinks were strong (if you've ever been to a wedding at white oak or lake house or any of those type places you know the drinks tend to be pretty watered down), the facility was gorgeous... The staff that were there during the reception were great, making sure there wasn't anything in the world that we needed - were attentive to my guests, smiling the whole time and just so pleasant! They have a great crew there and we just couldn't possibly have asked for anything better, I cannot say that enough! MONEY! Drusilla does not charge a gratuity - most of your other venues with charge you: (food pp + bar PP) x Tax = total... then T x 1.20 = real total... minimum 20% gratuity is added on to all of their final prices... Drusilla does not pay their staff on a tip basis, but rather on a set wage when they work events, therefore drusilla does not charge the gratuity on top of your total... we paid for PREMIUM BAR (jack, crown, absolut, bombay, cuervo gold) and chose from the basic food tier (jambalaya, crab balls, sandwiches, catfish filets, cold shrimp dip, fruit, best cheese layout ever, etc) which all together, with tax, our reception cost around $8,800... anywhere else (the food wouldn't have been nearly as good) and it would have cost us nearly 10,600. SERIOUSLY... If you're looking for a place that is beautiful, tried & true in baton rouge and the most helpful staff ever - go meet with Brad! You won't be disappointed!
