Duxbury Point: Ocean Microweddings and Elopements in West Marin For the bohemian brides and grooms... This private Bolinas ocean park, Duxbury Point, is perfect for a dreamy micro-wedding or elopement (2-10 people). It boasts breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the federally protected Duxbury Reef. Gently cradled by Eucalyptus trees and filled with fruit trees and native plants, Duxury Point has never been open to the public. It is a maintained but wild paradise where only ocean air, incredible vistas, and lush fauna exist. About: Our wedding season is from May to September 2025, and April to September 2026 and beyond. We do take special date accommodations from time to time, so please reach out if you have a different date in mind. We are open for microweddings (10ish people), private elopements. engagement photoshoots, and wedding picnics. Amenities: We provide chairs and a complimentary keepsake of seasonal local goods, which may include honey, champagne mead, the best sourdough you have ever had, and local produce. We allocate half an hour for set up, half an hour for breakdown, and 2 hours for the ceremony. Please note that the weather in West Marin is dynamic, and it can be hard to predict. Prepare for all possibilities, including strong winds, and if the day you choose has inhospitable weather, we will gladly exchange your date for any available dates. However, the property is stunning in all weather conditions and is part of its charm. Guidelines: Duxbury Point is part of a precious ecosystem we want to protect for centuries to come. Everything brought to the park must leave the park. Only minimal decorations are allowed, and loud music is discouraged (acoustic is welcome). Instead, imagine basking in the stunning natural beauty and your wedding ceremony filled with the sounds of ocean waves crashing and the occasional bird chirping. Weddings are capped at 10ish people for two hours, and only two cars are permitted. Our rate is $1,500 for the entire park. We encourage you to embrace the magic of this place and respectfully create your magic, be it an exchange of rings, a picnic wedding, or an incredible photoshoot.
