Eldorado Hotel & Spa

My husband and I got married in Santa Fe, NM on 10/15/2016 and had our reception at Eldorado Hotel & Spa. First off, Dan Liss was amazing to work with! He was very responsive to all of our emails, calls, questions, etc. He went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with for such an important event. We had our cocktail hour on the balcony of the Presidential Suite and our reception was in the ballroom downstairs. Everything from the food/drinks to the service was top notch! Our guests were very pleased with the rooms and the overall service of the hotel staff. Josh was so awesome in assisting our guests with any of their room needs and Sylvia was great in helping us get everything we needed for our after the wedding party. If we could give this hotel more than 5 stars, we would! Eldorado is the best place to stay in Santa Fe and definitely the best place to have your wedding and/or reception!

Our daughter's wedding was beautiful! The Eldorado is a fantastic venue, and the rooftop was the best place in Santa Fe for a wedding. Many thanks to Mr. Dan Liss, for making this such a memorable and lovely occasion.

Dan and his team at the Eldorado made our wedding what it was....amazing. We are not from Santa Fe and had to plan long distance. Dan and others at the hotel were always very accommodating with meeting us and answering all out questions when we were in town. Dan was able to take all my small ideas and turn them into beautiful realities and with some he even made them better with what the Eldorado could provide. Brian who did our room block was very receptive and also went above and beyond by taking my RSVP list and making sure everyone was in my room block. The day itself was beautiful and Dan and his team were there all day to make sure it stayed that way. They took care of every small hiccup that came up so I could continue to relax and get ready. We used multiple venue options at the hotel. We had our ceremony in the Chapel, cocktail hour on the Presidential Patio, and had our reception in the Grand Ballroom. All three were so beautiful we spend very little having to decorate them. Although a majority of our budget went to the Eldorado it was all worth it since they provided so much. Being far away that was most important to us was to get everything we wanted with as few vendors as possible. The Eldorado had it all and we are still very happy with our choice.

Dan Liss and the staff at the Eldorado were fantastic. Dan definitely took a great deal of stress off of planning our wedding with the services offered in their wedding packages. Dan and his assistant Ashley made absolutely sure all the details were looked at through the whole process, which helped me not forget anything. The only problem that I had was when the staff packed away the top of our wedding cake they did not include the sugar flowers that were on the cake. But overall If you want a beautiful and elegant wedding that won't break the bank I highly recommend the Eldorado Hotel & Spa.

The Eldorado Hotel & Spa was a great place to get married. And I give the hotel 4.5 stars, but rounded to 5! The new Chapel is gorgeous. There has been many renovations to the hotel, so it seems new. The hotel offers "Packages" for weddings, that make it easy and "sorta" cost effective, I say "sorta" because it's expensive, but at least with the package they don't nickle and dime you for the champagne toast, cake-cutting, chairs, tables, etc. With the package, it is all included. The hotel rooms aren't too expensive, so guests can spend the night if they wish. You can have ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dance all at one location, which is a huge plus. Dan did make the ballroom ready for us early that morning so we could set-up. The staff are really sweet and help when they can. Everyone is easy to talk to. In my opinion, it's a good value for being downtown Santa Fe. It's not a 5-star hotel, so I guess if it is your dream to get married at a 5-star hotel, then you need to keep looking.... but with that being said, I had a friend who attended a wedding at a five-star hotel in Santa Fe (Four Seasons Encantado), and said our wedding was better. Again, personal opinions. Parking, the hotel has a underground valet parking, but that is it, no parking lot. So it's a little inconvenient and expensive, but the bell-hops are nice! It's expensive, so be prepared to pay, but like I said, I think it's the best value in downtown Santa Fe. Dan is the wedding coordinator at the hotel and is pretty good, and has an assistant Ashley, who is also very good. Dan was especially good at the beginning and ending of the wedding planning, unfortunately, in the middle of the planning it took longer to get a hold of him. With that being said, the Eldorado basically has weddings every weekend, so even though you are planning only your wedding, Dan is planning one each week, so at first I was peeved when it took Dan a week to get back to me when I was trying to do a tasting, but now I understand, and two weeks before the wedding, he was AMAZING. He answered quickly, he even met with me a few times to make sure we were on the same page. So kudos to him for stepping up the the plate and making a home run. If I could do my wedding over, I would still choose the Eldorado! It was a beautiful day!

I had the most beautiful wedding at the Eldorado Hotel! Thanks to all the staff there that made it possible. Dan and Ashley were wonderful in working to their fullest to make my wedding successful. The chapel is stunning alone with the ballroom where we had our reception. Prices are very reasonable and worth the aligence of all arangments being done. I will cherish the day and place to where I got married.

Hello Dan Liss If anyone is considering tying the knot at the Eldorado Hotel chapel, you should know Everything, and I mean everything came out perfect. The staff made sure all our guest were at home and the rooms were amazing. Dan and Ashley were on top of everything and also provided us with a list of all the businesses in the surrounding area that took care of the flowers, cake, and the food " OMG " was spectacular ! It was truly a Santa Fe wedding. Not all of our guest could make it and that's when Dan informed us that the ceremony could be streamed live into peoples living rooms. We had friends and family all over the country watching us and even though they weren't there, they were still part of our ceremony. To us, this was an experience we will never forget ! We had our wedding October 17, 2015 in the Chapel and reception on the Presidential Suite patio. First, Dan was great to work with, understood what we wanted, kept within our budget and we didn't have any "surprises" on the final bill. Further, he had great suggestions on food, drink etc...and made it much less stressful for us, can't speak highly enough about Dan and his staff. Second, the venue is gorgeous, and the staff made our special day perfect;the reception looked beautiful at sunset and the banquet staff (all staff) was courteous and professional. I want to attend a wedding here, that is not my own. It was so fun, and on what is normally a stressful day. Finally, I do have to give a shout out to the make-up artist in the spa, I am sorry I cannot remember her name, but she did a perfect job on my make-up for the ceremony, and would highly recommend her.

Dan is amazing. He made our special day PERFECT! Going above and beyond from the beginning. Starting with accommodating our budget to ending with roses, strawberries and champagne in our suite at the end of the night. Highly recommend him and the venue!

We had our wedding at the Hotel St. Francis on 7/4/15 that is a sister property to the El Dorado. I am posting the review on the El Dorado site because our wedding planner Erika works out of the El Dorado property. We live in Texas and decided on a destination wedding in Santa Fe. I fell in love with the pictures of the lobby of the Hotel St. Francis and decided that would be the place. It was the perfect size for our small group of 18. We had the ceremony in front of the fireplace and the dinner in the lobby as well and still had plenty of room for dancing. Erika took such care in making sure that all the details were taken care of with total ease. The minute she took over my event I knew I was in great hands. Planning long distance can be a bit overwhelming but she took the stress right out of it. We met with Erika and her team, which included the Sound person and Catering Manager and her effervescent intern Katherine when we got into town and everyone was so kind and accommodating. We also had a fantastic experience at the Spa at the El Dorado! They are wonderful with hair and make-up and some of our guest had massages as well. It is a super relaxing and gorgeous spa. Everyone is super friendly and very talented. On the day of the event I came downstairs to meet the photographer and I was stunned at how gorgeous everything was. They totally exceeded my expectations! I have to mention Joe, our Bartender. He was such a joy and made sure everyone was having a good time and had what they needed. I am so thankful we had him at our event. I couldn’t have asked for a better fit for our group. We were not ready for the evening to end and Vernon and Ricardo from the Banquet department let us continue to play our music while they cleared the area. What great guys they were! So patient with us and let us know where we could move our things so they could get the lobby put back together but still continue to enjoy our evening. Erika and Katherine stayed and made sure everything went as planned and then when she was leaving she asked if there was anything else she could do. I said, “I don’t know if this in the realm of what you can do but is there any way I could have you sprinkle the remaining rose petals in our room?” She graciously agreed and it was such a beautiful finish to our evening! I HIGHLY recommend the El Dorado and/or Hotel St. Francis for your Santa Fe wedding! Erika will take care of you from start to finish! Truly amazing.

We booked the presidential suite for our ceremony and reception. Also where we spent our wedding night. The hotel is beautiful but compares nothing to view from the suite. Mountain landscape and Santa Fe square all lit up for Christmas. The hotel went through an ownership change during the year so there were some communication barriers at first, but all in all ended up great!

Everything that was offered was amazing! Food came out quick for all the guests and was delicious! The staff was beyond nice and made sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed!
