Elegant Designs by Joy

We used Elegant Designs by Joy for our November 2024 wedding and everything was amazing! Joy took our vision of our wedding flowers and brought it to life! She made all our bouquets, centerpieces, cocktail hour vases, and decor for the arch we got married in front of. I loved our flowers so much and would recommend Joy to anyone! Her prices were reasonable and working with her was so fun!

I got married on 10/26/24 and I had the pleasure of working with Joy from Elegant Designs by Joy on the flowers for my wedding. As someone who was very unsure of what I was looking for, Joy made my floral process so seamless and really talked me through what I was looking for, without really knowing! I did the vendor bundle package through my venue, so it was super easy to budget upgrades for my special day. If I could go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. When the flowers were dropped off morning of, they were perfect and I never doubted Joy to do anything less. So appreciative of the genuine care that her and her team put into their work and making their clients feel special.

Joy helped make our wedding day so special. The centerpieces, bridesmaids flowers and my flowers were just amazing and everyone was so excited to take some home after the wedding. The colors, textures, freshness and just different types of flowers were so beautiful. She took our vision and went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. We were speechless the flowers were so beautiful.

I couldn’t have been happier with my wedding florals! I wanted a mix between 2 different styles and Joy was able to capture my vision with just phone consultations and a few pictures. I’m a very picky person and I can say, She’s a true artist!

Elegant Designs by Joy have been an absolute pleasure to work with for my wedding this summer! I would 100/10 recommend them to any couple looking to elevate their wedding with gorgeous flower arrangements. With the pandemic and supply chain issues, flowers have become EXTREMELY expensive. From the moment I had my first consultation with Joy, I knew she was the florist for me. I had spoken to a number of florists in LI before I spoke to her, and she was by far the most knowledgeable about flowers (and her prices were extremely reasonable!) I was also very picky about wedding florals because I believe florals really set the tone and ambiance of a wedding - I wanted elegant, romantic, and let me tell you - she DELIVERED!! I don't think I can say enough about how amazing it was to work with Joy and her team. She is the best in the business. I work in the customer service industry and everyone knows her and her team and everyone has nothing but amazing things to say about her business. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the arrangements she put together for our wedding. She did half highs (tall orchids flowing) and half lows (beautiful roses with flowing orchids.) She took the time to listen to what we wanted and not only did she deliver, but she is just such a wonderful person. Joy was so easy to work with! My sister had used Joy for her 2018 wedding. We quickly contacted her to make sure she was available for our wedding in May. Joy and I had multiple phone conversations about the types of flowers and discuss if that's what I was envisioning. She also has worked with my venue (Stonebridge CC) before and suggested enhancing certain areas. When she arrived at my parents house, she spent time showing me and the girls all the bouquets. Mine even had pearls in it! Joy made the flower process easy and totally affordable!

Wow wow wow!!! Joy captured exactly the vibe I was looking for and gave me something better than I could have even imagined!!! Of all the vendors I spoke to, she had the most reasonable prices and my flowers couldn’t have been more beautiful. Even after making some changes to the initial plan, she never raised my price and delivered spectacularly. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!

Joy is such a pleasure to work with. We used her for our wedding on 5/20/22 after having to bail on our prior florist. She was awesome to jump start the process and even though I’m not a flower person educated me on flowers for the time of year. I didn’t see a mock up prior to my wedding but it didn’t matter she nailed exactly what I asked for and I cant wait to see the pictures of the day!

We had Joy and her team create arrangements, boutonnieres, and bouquets for our wedding, and all we could say was "WOW!" Everything they put together was unbelievably beautiful. It all made for an incredible display throughout the venue. Not a single detail looked out of place or just like filler, in fact everything was beyond perfect and had a purpose . Each and every display and arrangement reflected the utmost beauty and professionalism. The colors were stunning and the combinations of flowers were fantastic. We worked with Joy at our October 2021 wedding after a recommendation from a friend who used Joy at her 2017 wedding, and it was an absolute pleasure! Joy & her team were so patient and kind during the re-booking process from 2020 to 2021, so it was exciting when we finally got to work together. As a super specific/detail oriented bride, I had many phone calls with Joy going over flower types & colors, etc. and she was lovely every single time. I sent lots of emails with vase types, etc. with what I thought should go where, but I realized I just needed to step back and let Joy do what she does. Joy and her team pulled everything together better than I could have imagined, and everything was set up so beautifully. Not to mentioned the flowers/coloration of the bouquets with the bridesmaids dresses was beyond dreamy - one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day is all the bouquets against the dresses. You need to hire this fabulous team for your event!! My husband and I were scheduled to get married on Saturday, 11/28/20 but due to Covid-19, we decided to re-schedule to Saturday, 11/27/21. Joy was very accommodating to our request during this stressful time. Fast forward one year and I had made several changes to my initial floral plan. Joy spent over an hour on the phone with me making sure every detail was thoroughly discussed. Additionally, the several emails I sent with questions or concerns were always promptly answered by Joy’s team. The florals in their entirety were stunning. Joy and her team are truly gifted as what they displayed was nothing short of art. From the centerpieces to the bride and groom table to my bouquet, everything was beautiful. I got so many compliments on the floral decor and I could not have been happier.

Working with Joy was amazing and a breeze! I found her because some family members use her for holidays and occasions. Any time I saw one of her centerpieces, I was in love. Joy is an artist with impeccable taste. I have had the pleasure of knowing Joy for a little over 10 years now. From my high school proms, graduations, many holidays and now to my bridal shower and wedding she has not only been my florist but also a great friend. The second I got engaged there was no question she would be doing my flower arrangements. For years she has created the most beautiful florals for my family and I. Every single arrangement is always so unique but classic. When we met to discuss the plan for the wedding I basically told her I trusted her and her expertise. She WELL exceeded our expectations. Every detail was stunning and everything I imagined it would be. Not only is she truly so talented but she is so incredible to work with. 2020 wasn't an easy year for any of us, but she was SO accommodating and truly worked with us even though we threw her for a loop by switching the wedding to the backyard. Her flowers upgraded the backyard space immensely and made the photos that much better. Lucky to have such an amazing friend and florist for life.

We were referred to Elegant Designs by Joy from our planner, Deborah Minarik, and they was FANTASTIC!! Joy was an absolute pleasure to work with and the flowers were more beautiful than I ever imagined. I had a rough idea of what I wanted, shared some photos and had a great consultation session with Joy at first, and then she took my half thoughts and turned them into a dreamy reality. We had a stunning two sided ceremony arch and incredible centerpieces and a beautiful bouquet. The flowers were the highest quality and so full, the colors were all beautiful, and the cost was worth every penny. She even included a flower crown for our baby flower girl!! We got compliments on the flowers all night and sent a few centerpieces home with friends who kept admiring them all week :)

I met Joy through my wedding planner and I have to say, the stars aligned the day I sat at Joy's counter! Joy is a PLEASURE to work with! She listened to my vision, pulled from inspirational pictures and truly nailed it. Joy is extremely creative and knew exactly how to add to every single aspect of my wedding. my bouquet was gorgeous, my Maid of honors bouquet was beautiful, too. the boutineers and corsages were so unique and stunning. my four flower girls has angelic little flower crowns and adorable, pretty,, dainty, little bouquets to walk down the isle with. Joy decorated my floating staircase with greenery that was LOVED by all and quickly became THE place for pictures. Table runners of greenery and sultry candles with highlights of gorgeous flowers were on the tables. Arrangements throughout the house were also remarkable there are no words for how Joy blew us away with her talent. Not only is Joy amazing at what she does, but she's fun, she's cares about what she does and puts her heart into her work. Joy was also so accommodating. I highly, highly recommend her!!

Joy's work is incredible! I showed her photos of what I wanted for our wedding and she recreated everything PERFECTLY! I had to have my bouquet preserved because it was so incredible! Her prices are incredibly reasonable and her work is just phenomenal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They are a little busy for such a small shop and if you have a hard time getting in touch with them, be patient. They will get back to you and everything will be wonderful! Trust me, the end results are so worth it!

Working with Elegant Designs by Joy was just unbelievable. I was one of the brides that had to reschedule their dream wedding 4 times, and joy and her husband were such a pleasure to work with. They moved everything around for us again and again and I have to say, they literally made my wedding. My venue was at the ocean club in Atlantic Beach, NY and we keep hearing from our guests- that they did not even feel like they were in NY!! It was truly magical. I appreciate every thought and detail that they put into our wedding- and it was honestly the best day of our life. I give them a 10/10+!!!!!!!!! One of the most memorable moments from our wedding is the moment I saw my bouquet for the first time. I cried at just how beautiful it was! Joy's team at Elegant Designs by Joy KILLED IT! From the first meeting to the wedding day. They have been nothing But AMAZING! The second we started explaining what we wanted it's like she knew exactly what we where envisioning. Joy started putting flowers together and right before my eyes i saw my vision come to life. Myself and my now husband let joy and her team put their creative input on the flowers. We told them the mood we wanted to set and the colors we liked. They just ran with that and could not of done a better job! Everyone at our wedding loved the flowers we could not have gotten more compliments as to how beautiful everything was! From our family and friends. Even our venue loved them so much they kept some of them up for the wedding the next day! After having to postpone our wedding in 2020. Joy and her team where extremely understanding and was very flexible with everything. We where so happy that they where available on are new date this past July! Going through they highs a lows of postponing i have to say i am very happy we did! At the end of the day we truly had the most beautiful and memorable wedding. A HUGE reason for that is because of Joy and her team! Using their extensive floral knowledge to really create a beautiful atmosphyer for our wedding! Where could I find such an amazing florist in such a short time and during COVID? But Joy and her team were recommended and I was immediately impressed. Personable, understanding, kind, beautiful. Not only did my flowers and arrangements come out perfect, but Joy was able to make me feel like a bride again, even when I was over the planning and heart broken about having a COVID wedding. There's a lot I would have changed, a lot that wasn't my fairytale wedding, BUT my flowers, my arrangements, my connection and how I was valued and treated, This is something I would never change. She took her time to speak with me, not only about the flowers, but to talk and get to really know me as a person. The flowers came out exactly how we discussed. I highly recommend Joy and her team. Joy and her team went above and beyond for our wedding and my bridal shower. The florals for both events were prettier than what we dreamed of. It was amazing to not know anything about flowers, but to come with a few ideas and let Joy and her team do the rest. We trusted them every step of the way and could not be happier we used them for our special day. From the center pieces, little sign details to the bouquets everything was perfect. Joy and her team were incredible. We had a few conversations with Joy leading up to our wedding: an initial chat where she understood our vision, a review of the costs, and a check in prior to our wedding. She was super attentive to our needs, sent us pictures of our vision, and helped us understand how to make the most of our budget. Our only regret is that we didn’t meet her during drop off!

Wow is all I can say!! I loved every single piece that Joy made for our wedding on August 5, 2021. It was a summer wedding, and I asked her to incorporate some color into my flowers. It was stunning!! I loved my bouquet, and all of the bridesmaids loved theirs as well. Our centerpieces were also gorgeous with a mix of high and low pieces. We also had two beautiful arrangements outside for our outdoor ceremony. Joy is such a nice person, and I always enjoyed talking to her. I changed some things last minute by asking her to decorate a staircase and bring two red roses for our ceremony, and she gladly did. 100% recommend!

Joy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She saw our vision and created the most stunning centerpieces, bouquets, and details around our venue. We got so many compliments on our flowers from all our guests--they were fighting to take the centerpieces home! Not only is Joy considerate and understanding with regard to budget and vision, but she offered so many ideas along the way, and she even when above and beyond what we had discussed while still sticking to the budget that we agreed upon--this is something other florists refused to do.
