Elk Creek Vineyards

I can't say enough about the lengths Juli and Stephanie went to make my wedding weekend special. If you are a DIY bride who wants to bring all of your pinterest dreams come true, Elk Creek is the way to go. We rented out the Lodge for the weekend and hosted about 120 on the lawn there. My family also rented the other accommodation on the property for all of our out of town guests. We wanted to make it as much as a mini vacation as possible. The planning process was smooth and without any hiccups. The setup was done the morning of, and they were incredibly flexible with all of my ideas and wishes for the wedding day. We were allowed and able to bring in all of our vendors, and I appreciated that we didn't have to choose from a prescribed list. Elk Creek provided the wine for our rehearsal dinner and also the reception. The best part is they let you create whatever dream day you have envisioned. My mother and I made all of the decor, and my bridal party hung all of the lighting and did the floral arrangements. The setting alone with the lodge, the lake, and the wine groves, you don't need a lot because the ambiance is already there. As for my wedding day, it was everything I ever imagined and more. The weather was glorious and the setting was exactly how I dreamed it would be. My only recommendations is that they need to end the shooting earlier than 5:00 pm because you can hear the shots at the Lodge, and also they had a singer over at the main building during my wedding ceremony. The Vineyard could also use better signage getting there! But overall, a wonderful and incredibly unique place to hold a wedding.

Overall I was very pleased with my wedding at Elk Creek Vineyards. I would highly recommend using Elk Creek to host your wedding. It is ideal for the smallest of weddings to the largest of weddings. I had a wedding with 50 guest total and got married in the wine cellar. I will say I have never seen anything more beautiful! Granted my florist did a great job making it wedding appropriate, but the venue was a wonderful canvas. I hosted my reception in the Art Gallery above the tasting room. This was beautiful as well. It did happen to rain a little bit during dinner and the house band had to come in from outside to finish his last set. My DJ had to stop for about 30 minutes. If you are having a small wedding I would probably not book a DJ at all and just use an IPod for your music. It would be fine. Brittany, the person in charge of weddings and events at the vineyard worked her butt off on my wedding day! She made sure all the guest were happy and everyone was where they needed to be. She really pulled off a great event! I will say I worried in the planning months because it seemed that everything was left until the last week, but it all got done and it was all done beautifully! I ordered appetizers from the vineyard as well. Appetizers are separate from the people who make the meal, they are made at the tasting room where my event was held. They were delicious, hot, and beautifully displayed! I got the chicken cordon bleu mini apps, the quiche sampler, and a cheese tray. All were great! I also had wine and beer. I got a 1/2 barrel of beer and 3 cases of wine for 50 people. It was plenty. They were great with the wine and Brittany switched out what I had originally picked with what was going better the night of the wedding. My guest really loved the Pomegranate, Concord, and the more fruity wines. I also gave away the white table wine as a favor with a custom lable. The guest LOVED this. For 50 bottle with lables I think
