Martha and the whole staff were wonderful. We have stayed here a numerous times with my husband’s business but, sadly this time it was due to the passing of my sister. Martha made sure my 3 boys and their wives had rooms on the same floor with ...
us. She stopped us everyday and asked if there was anything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel. One reason we do come here is my dad’s name is Elwood and he passed in 2011.

Let's face it people write reviews if they love a place or hate a place. I was in town for a work function when I saw we weren't staying at a "name brand" hotel I was immediately dreading the stay. "10 days at this hotel make it end kinda vibe"...
. However from the moment I arrived I realized my initial thoughts could not have been more wrong. While we all expect hotels to clean and nice this place checks those boxes, but what is lacking in the industry (as someone who travels weekly) is real genuine hospitality. Martha and her crew here understand what it takes to host guest and go the extra mile for real hospitality most places miss. They were over top accommodating to our 45+ guest over the 10 days. Their whole staff was amazing, from staying open late at the bar to opening the kitchen on their day off. They could of easily taken the easy "we aren't open" approach but they didn't and went out of their way to make sure our group had the best stay. If you are looking for a place to stay and reading this click the "book" option and stay here, you will be happy you did! Can't wait to stay here again in a few months. Thanks to the Elwood crew!

The fact that the check-in for the hotel and restaurant share the same desk is disconcerting and bizarre. Having to walk through a pretty fancy restaurant and bar with all of your luggage, or just as you come and go, is super uncomfortable.

riving to get any where from the hotel is bizarre. You can't turn left, so if you want to go from the hotel to UK for example, you have to drive through the parking lot of the neighboring hotel turn left onto that road, then left on the main road.
The rooms are great, comfy, and clean. The restaurant and bar are nice. They just need to have a separate entrance for hotel guests somehow.
Nothing the hotel can do about these issues really, without an architect and a major renovation, and an urban planner....
The things easily in their control (rooms, food) was great though.
