We chose the Embassy suites for our wedding hotel block as well as the getting ready space for the morning of. It was the perfect location as it was only 15 minutes away from our venue. We also had “Welcome Cocktails” at the hotel bar the night before the wedding. The bar staff did such a wonderful job! Laura was so helpful when booking the rooms for the block. She went above and beyond! In fact the customer service from her and every other person we interacted with was spectacular. And the bridal suite was stunning! They even decorated for us. Breakfast was delicious, the pool was super fun, the rooms were very nice. Highly recommend!
We had our wedding at the Embassy Suite Brea's indoor atrium - very airy, spacious, and beautiful with the natural sunlight shining through from the top! We worked very closely with the director of events, Lisa, who was so on top of everything. She made the wedding planning process run as smooth as possible, especially in light of COVID. Lisa and the Embassy Suites staff were very accommodating and worked with us to ensure our guests were safe and all CDC protocols were in place. Highly recommend!
We stayed at the Brea Embassy Suites for my wedding. It was great! We had a penthouse suite. It was plenty of room to get ready! We were off to the side, my mom was worried because in the penthouse suite next to us there was a crying baby, but you couldn't even here it from our room.
Our stay at the Embassy Suites was fantastic for our wedding. Our guests loved the location of the hotel as it is easy to get to restaurants, the mall, etc. It was easy for out of town guests to get around. The breakfast in the hotel was tasty and our guests loved it. The pool was a hit as well.
On the other hand, the planning process was not smooth. The coordinator we worked with was difficult at times. We had a horrible time negotiating a rate for our wedding block. The hotel was giving us an unfair rate and we had multiple guests book outside of our wedding block through the hotel website because they were able to get a better rate. It was frustrating at times. In addition, we received a ton of complaints from family/friends regarding the booking process. After all was said and done, it all worked out but they sure made it stressful for us in the meantime. In our opinion, worrying about the hotel is the last thing you need while planning a wedding.
This is a lovely hotel with a great location. The rooms were clean and spacious and the atrium was beautiful. We were approximately 2 miles from the ceremony site and next door to the mall. The location was perfect for our guests. We did not have to worry about how to entertain our guests because they were so centrally located and had the mall right next to us. The offered a free shuttle service to the ceremony site, and had complimentary breakfast AND complimentary cocktail hour in the evening. Our guests most especially enjoyed the hor'dearves and wine. The manager (Angel) was VERY helpful. She kept me updated on the rooms being booked by our guests and opened up more rooms as our allocation of rooms kept getting booked up.
The day of they all did great! My coordinator was great on my actual wedding day, but the entire planning process I felt like I was fighting to get answers to my questions and she wouldnt respond for weeks sometimes. They also were not very flexible if you have special needs or want to get creative with things.
I would say theyre more of an "event" coordinator staff, not a wedding coordinator staff and theres a big difference.
Also, there were 7 brides staying at the hotel on the weekend of my wedding, so we were not prioritized at all which made me unhappy.
Overall, the place is beautiful and great and they can handle the day of, but for everything else the staff is lacking in service.
