Emerson House is a boutique, historic wedding venue that is located in La Porte, Indiana. Facilities and Capacity Offering all of the luxuries of a home on a 30-acre retreat, Emerson House delivers both seclusion and serenity in a magical atmosphere. If you decide to hold your wedding day at Emerson House, you and your guests will be given full access to the house, all of its amenities, and its gorgeous natural surroundings. The venue offers seven bedrooms, an additional sitting room/bedroom, seven full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms so that you and your guests can fully enjoy the property throughout the entire weekend. As a boutique, intimate venue, wedding guest capacity at Emerson House is 70; up to 16 guests are welcome to spend the night at Emerson House, and the parking lot is equipped for 28 vehicles. Location Although this venue is nestled in the peaceful countryside, it is relatively close to the big city. Just a short, hour-long drive from Chicago, Emerson House gives you the country feel that many couples look for. Photo opportunities for brides and grooms are endless; in addition to the property's rolling prairie, wooded acreage, softly running stream, and pristine landscaping, Lake Michigan beaches and Indiana Dunes National Park are only 15 minutes away. Rental The Emerson House DIY Wedding Weekend includes exclusive use of the House, grounds, parking, and all facilities for private use for 4 nights. The cost is $12,500. Check-in is 3pm on Thursday, and check-out is 11am on Monday. Additional nights and flexible check-ins and check-outs can be arranged based on availability.
