. They saved us a ton of money and the boys loved their tuxes. Mark made sure the pants fit right and didn't look messy and baggy like so many other tuxes we have seen. Kim, the seamstress, did wonders on my dress. I am so glad we went with English's!

antly family. Mark and Cass are great at what they do. Mark knew my size as soon as I walked in the door, didn't even have to measure me. He was so patient with me not being happy after several dresses. Then he pulled a dress and said "I know it doesn't look like something you want to try on, but trust me." Well, he was right. The dress was the perfect shape for me and looked beautiful, but it didn't have any of the lace or sparkle I wanted. What happened next still surprised me. He called out seamstress Kim Yontz and pulled lace from another dress. We then proceeded to create a totally new dress by using the base of one and the lace of another. Kim did a beyond fantastic job creating my dress from the ground up and I had a truly one of a kind dress that I loved.

I was unsure about wearing a veil on my wedding day since I had a beach wedding so I didn't want to purchase one. Since I was debating about it, Mark so graciously gave me a veil that he made absolutely free!!! How awesome is that?! (It was great since I ended up wearing it!) They also have the best prices. I let them know my budget upfront since I was strict on sticking to it and they totally worked with me. I would definitely recommend brides who are laid back and have a strict budget to visit English's. They offer the classic Southern hospitality and great prices!

and so they gave me an incredible price. I cannot recommend the folks at English's enough. You will get a better dress, altered/designed exactly how you'd like and you'll be supporting a local businness. Don't even think of going elsewhere.

r thinking "I probably won't be buying from here." Boy, was I wrong! Mark and Cass are a great team and they really know their work. I didn't even get to start looking through dresses (like I was used to at other places) before he started pulling out beautiful dress after beautiful dress just from looking at my shape! And if great, personal service is important to you.. then look no further. I was sold when I received a call from them the next morning after my first visit, telling me they had found the perfect dress for me, everything I had been looking for and to come in to try it on!! I was beyond impressed by their interest in me and my wedding gown dreams. The best part is, I'm getting married in Ecuador in six months, and I came back home to the States for two weeks hoping to find an affordable dress to take back with me. Well let me tell you, Mark and Cass did everything possible to help me in any way. Extremely low prices, super quick alterations and Mark even packed my freshly pressed dress, hoop skirt, petticoat, and hand-made veil in a carry-on sized box to take with me on my flight!!! To be honest, I think I even ended buying my dress over another I thought had been the one of my dreams.. based on the amazing service and attention I received. I knew that other place could care less about me, my needs and much less my travel plans. I apologize for my review being so long, but I think these kinds of details are worth knowing when in such a crazy process like dress shopping. So first, don't judge a book by its cover and second, puh-lease make your way over to English's! You won't regret it!!

Over the course of the year, I felt like I had become family -- they always greeted me with a smile and took an interest in what was going on in my life. Mark makes sure that you have all your accessories! They make sure you have your dress by your bridal date and after bridals he cleans it spick and span- free of charge! AMAZING!

th my experience at other bridal shops. At the end of an hour or so, I had several dresses I really liked and two that I loved. I ended up picking one that was a little different that what I thought I wanted originally, but it was perfect! I also did my alterations through English's and everything was perfect! After seeing quite a few pictures from the wedding, I am so thrilled with how the dress looked, and it fit perfectly. thanks!!

today was a horrible experience. The train wasn't attached, the hems haven't been done, and the rework to corset the back wasn't sewn, only pinned. I would encourage you to buy a dress from them, but find someone else to do the alterations if Kim Yount is still the seamstress. $215 for alterations and a month isn't enough time for her to have it ready? I don't think so!
