When looking for wedding photographers, the photos from f8 Photo Studios (Cara and Adrienne) were the style of photography we wanted because they were crisp and natural. After meeting with Cara, we knew we wanted them to photograph not only our wedding but also our engagement photos. We picked the package with the associate photographer, Adrienne, and met her for our engagement photo session. With a short conversation we connected with Adrienne quickly and the photos turned out amazing. When it came to the wedding day, Adrienne and her second shooter captured every moment we could have possibly wanted as well as being able to deal with our easily distractible family. The photos from the first look still make me cry every time I look at them. Adrienne even stayed later than scheduled to capture our exit. We ended up quickly receiving over 800 incredible wedding photos. It is still difficult to narrow down our favorites since every detail is so remarkable. I worked with Cara for my October 2019 wedding, and she and her team were fantastic! Cara worked with me to stay within my budget and she was fun and delightful to partner with. Our photographer, Lindsay, made my husband and I feel at ease and helped us work out the jitters and stiffness in our portrait session. Lindsay kept us on track and took beautiful images of our celebration. I am thrilled with how our sneak peak photos turned out and look forward to seeing more. To top it all off, the pictures are great. They show emotion, have great color and sharpness, and help to tell the story of our day. But you can see that easily from all her great albums! The photographer is such an important part of your wedding since they will be with you all day and they will capture your memories and what you look back at year after year. Highly recommend Cara and would work with her again in a heartbeat!

She took each and every picture I dreamed of having, without asking, and brought our wedding back to life through pictures. What an amazing experience all around. Cara was phenomenal to talk to and I felt like she really "got me". Adrienne was so fun to work with and took some amazing photos. Friendly photographer, great photos! It was great to work with Adrienne and f8. She put us at ease during our initial meeting, months ahead of the wedding, by really explaining the photo package and her style clearly. Then, once the wedding was getting closer, Adrienne reached out with helpful planning docs. I really appreciated how she made sure to know exactly what family photos we wanted, even checking whether there were any family dynamics she should know abut to avoid any awkwardness (none in my case, but I appreciated the ask!). She was clear about the timeline we would need to get the photos we wanted so that we were able to coordinate with our makeup artist as well. On the day of, Adrienne's easy energy and sense of humor kept everyone smiling even when our cheeks were starting to hurt! We had to stay indoors for most of the pics because of the rain, but later on she still managed to get us out for some nighttime shots that came out great. I just got my full set of photos back and am LOVING them. Along with the posed shots, I love the candids from our reception and all of the detail shots, too. She beautifully captured our wedding day. I appreciate being able to have all of the digital copies and decide what prints I'll make later on. f8 also sent a slideshow set to our first dance song, which was a really sweet touch. Thanks!

By far one of the best decisions we made wedding planning! We did engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding day pictures with Cara. She is so easy to work with and does a fantastic job! Where to even begin with F8? Cara is literally the best person ever! Her attention to detail and ability to capture the perfect shots are unparalleled. From rolling around on the ground to get THE angle at our engagement shoot to standing in the rain with us during Hurricane Flo to get THE rainy wedding day shot.. we could not have asked for more! I was so happy with the responsiveness, helpfulness, & more from f8 I posted a review before even having a photo session. After that, we had an engagement session that was honestly one of the best wedding-related decisions I made. I usually hate taking pictures but Adrienne made it so much fun! We would have been excited going into the wedding based on her personality alone, but the pictures-oh my gosh. They are perfect. Cool angles, beautiful light, I don't know enough about photography to know exactly why they're that good, I just know I love them. One of my favorite compliments about them was that we look just like us, not a fake version of us. For the wedding, I can't say enough to properly thank the whole team for everything they did that day & for all the effort leading up to it. Cara answered emails immediately, spent SO much time helping me with the whole planning process, then once we were connected with Adrienne she spent several hours with us over phone & email. She handled last minute changes so graciously, we were so excited and so comfortable going into the big day! My husband said Adrienne's associate Lindsay made him feel like we had 2 lead photographers & I totally agree. We both really enjoyed how well they both played off each other & worked together. They swooped in & saved the day when my veil kept getting caught on the straps of my dress. They went above & beyond adjusting, readjusting, making sure I felt comfortable. On top of all that, we ended up with the most incredible photos that so perfectly captured our wedding. They reflect exactly how our favorite people are - their expressions, their dance moves, the way they celebrate, it's priceless. Our guests kept asking me to make sure they got the link because they felt like they'd gotten some great shots of their family. That was unexpectedly the best feeling ever. One of our cousins said "I can't stop looking at these pictures!", I feel like that says it all. I love f8!!!

For our engagement and wedding photos we worked with Adrienne (and Lindsay as our second shooter for the wedding). Together they exceeded all of our expectations. Adrienne worked with us (and our crazy dog) to take our engagement photos at the American Tobacco Campus, they turned out amazing. For the wedding, we could not have asked for a better pair to photograph our big day. Adrienne's pre-planning for family photos was so organized, accommodating and helpful. They captured so many things that we didn't even know happened! It was a blast to go through all of the pictures. Adrienne did a fantastic job editing them. I highly recommend Adrienne and Lindsay!!

Cara made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera right from the beginning. She is easy going and makes you feel like you've known her for a long time. She knows the best places to take pictures in Raleigh. We loved where she picked for us to go for the engagement photos and the bridal party photos. It was a super hot day, but she knew exactly where to go to get shade. We got the family pictures we needed but also some really amazing candid shots. She's quick when she needs to be but always pays attention to details! We've gotten so many compliments for the pictures and can't recommend Cara enough!

Cara was wonderful during all of our wedding festivities! She did our engagement shoot, my bridals, and our wedding. I would highly recommend her! We worked with an associate of F8 Studios, Adrienne, and a second shooter, Melissa. Both of our photographers were beyond fantastic. We go married from out of town, and Adrienne was very willing to chat with us over the phone a few times before our wedding to make sure that our wedding timeline made sense with photography and to provide suggestions for how to best work within our logistical constraints. On the day of the wedding, Adrienne and Melissa both showed up promptly and were nothing but smiles and cheer the entire day. Adrienne was extremely wonderful to work with, especially during family formals. We were able to get all of our pictures done about halfway through cocktail hour, allowing us to enjoy our own wedding reception! Adrienne was flexible with her timing (she stayed an extra 15 minutes or so at the end of her paid time to make sure to get pictures of the bouquet toss), and was nothing but professional the entire day. Finally, the handful of preview pictures we've gotten back so far have been stunning. We can't wait to see the rest!

It's not possible to overstate how much I appreciate Cara & Adrienne with f8! My wedding isn't until August, so I can't speak to the actual photos yet, but the amount of effort and support they've already put in completely warrants a 5 star review. I'd give them 10 stars, if that was an option. I have obsessively researched every vendor we're using and the pressure of making the right investment can be so stressful, but within a few minutes of talking to Cara I already felt so relieved, and as the planning process continues I have felt more and more confident that I made such a good choice! Cara mentioned early on that they want their clients to feel like they're a friend hanging out instead of feeling like some stranger is pointing a camera at them all day, and I can say with complete certainty she and Adrienne have 100% accomplished that, and the big day isn't even here yet! They both have this amazing mix of being down to earth but also so professional and knowledgeable at the same time. In an industry where I feel some vendors give off a vibe of being very self-important or judgy, these 2 totally shine with their knack for providing feedback in a way that truly makes me feel like I'm chatting with a good friend who just happens to know basically everything about the wedding business in this area. They've consistently encouraged me to reach out for support when I have any questions, and they have totally delivered, even on things that pretty much have nothing to do with photography. I'm so, so happy with them and I have no doubt the photos will be beautiful and they will do everything in their power to make sure we have a great experience.

Cara and her team are AMAZING!!! It was sunny, it rained and it snowed on the day of my wedding but Cara and Lindsey were troopers and we were able to get all the pictures I wanted (Duke Gardens). OK. F8 photo studios was one of the best decisions I ever made in choosing vendors for my wedding. We had our engagement photos done in CA while we were living there and I had to seek out a different photographer after moving back to SC. I was impressed with Cara at F8 photo studios. She talked with me over the phone and answered all of my questions. She even brought up things that I had not considered. Some other vendors I had spoken with were not so free with their time or knowledge, like I was going to steal their ideas (hello, Pinterest!). Cara was confident enough to provide any and all info. I knew she was the photographer for us. We did bridal pictures at the Biltmore and they were stunning!!! She captured me, my dress, the background, and the continuously changing natural lighting all at the same time. I cannot imagine the amount of talent and skill that takes. One of the things I love most about Cara, beyond the beautiful photographs, is that she makes things happen. She takes charge and sticks to the agreed-upon schedule. Our wedding went so smoothly because of Cara and our wedding venue consultant. My husband and I never had to look at a clock or worry about timing. And Cara was always there with a camera. After looking through our wedding photos, I was surprised because there were a lot of photographs that I don’t remember having been taken. Cara and Melissa (her shooting partner) were everywhere! We have some of the most beautiful wedding pictures!! I keep looking through them over and over. I have no idea which ones to have framed yet because there are so many I love. Cara also had two bridal portraits framed for us to display at the reception and both turned out well. Overall, pictures are stunning and Cara is knowledgeable, professional, and outstanding at communicating with her clients. She texted, called, and FaceTimed with us throughout the planning process. Best. Photographer. EVER!! Cara , owner of f8 Photo Studios, is seriously the "total package" of photographers. Not only are her photos incredible, but she is responsive, professional, and so fun to work with! My husband and I live in Washington, D.C. and we were having trouble finding time to drive down to Raleigh for an engagement shoot, so Cara drove up to D.C. and we had our engagement shoot here! I was blown away by that gesture from her and it's things like this that truly make her an incredible wedding photographer. On your actual wedding day, you will realize that you're kind of on a tight schedule. Cara kept everything rolling along, made sure people were where they needed to be, and still kept everything relaxed and fun! Oh and did I mention she's hilarious? She will have your wedding party laughing true laughter for those fun "candid" photos everyone loves so much. We worked with Adrienne Fox for our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we absolutely adore her!!! Everyone at our wedding told us how amazing and sweet she was. I cannot be happier with our photos! For our wedding my husband & I did not want to skimp on the photos and we are SOOOO happy we went with f8 studios. I cannot say enough great things about F8 Photo Studios! My husband and I were planning our 9/30 wedding in Wake Forest from Boston, where we currently live. Needless to say, I was a little nervous about hiring vendors without being able to meet them in person. I spoke with Cara on the phone after taking a look at the F8 website, and she immediately made me feel at ease. She explained all of my options and walked me through what to expect with wedding photography. After making the decision to move forward with F8, my husband and I met Adrienne, our photographer, for our engagement photos. I immediately knew that Adrienne was the right person for the job. When we got our engagement photos back, I could not wait for our wedding, simply for the pictures! Then, very quickly, our wedding day arrived! She efficiently got us through pictures before and after the ceremony, and then even indulged me in some one-on-one pictures during the reception. We LOVED Adrienne! She was the main photographer at our wedding at the NC Museum of Art. We loved her positive attitude and ability to organize large groups of people. AMAZING! Adrienne did the photos for our wedding and she was perfect! She got every shot that I asked her too and the photos are perfect! I couldn't have asked for better pictures to capture our special day! She and her assistant went above and beyond ! Cara was also wonderful to work with throughout the process- very responsive and helpful ! Their prices are also super reasonable for what you get and the quality of their work. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone getting married.

I can't say enough good things about Cara and her team at f8. From the get go, Cara was super helpful and honest with our wishes as a couple (we are pretty low key and didn't go crazy with the Pinterest wedding shenanigans). She is so fun to work with on site - she keeps you laughing and engaged the whole time, so your pictures are a perfect expression of who you are as a couple/family. Cara is no frills and I LOVE that about her (I mean, I'm sure she'd give you frills if you wanted them, she's so kind). She captures the good stuff, the genuine moments and encourages that you have fun and enjoy what's going on around you. First of all, we never met with Cara but dealing with her on the phone and through email was so incredibly easy and made the process so smooth! Secondly, we LOVE LOVE LOVE Adrienne! From the moment we sat down with her to just talk we knew we wanted her to shoot our wedding. She is so sweet and fun and fit our personalities and what we wanted in a photographer perfectly. We did an engagement shoot also which was awesome and really helped us figure out what we like and didn't like for the wedding day pictures. Lindsey was also there for our wedding day, she was great and had really good insights and ideas. For us, the photographer was the most important part of our day (minus getting married!) and we could not have been happier than we were with Adrienne and F8!

I can't say enough great things about Adrienne Fox and F8 Studios. We looked at just about every other local studio's portfolio before finding F8. Cara and Adrienne have a more journalistic style and are able to tell a story, not just take pictures. And I think the price was a steal for what they did for us -- we had a private ceremony on a Saturday followed by a Sunday brunch reception, and Adrienne was with us for about 3+ hours both days, PLUS an engagement shoot months before! Adrienne took time to get to know us and our easy-going style. She captured the most beautiful moments, both posed and candid, and kept us laughing the whole time. She was a joy to work with, always patient and accommodating, even when I'm sure sitting around for a Sunday brunch wasn't the most exciting thing for a photographer! Cara Galati of f8 studios was an amazing asset to a wonderful wedding! Cara was willing to travel to Charleston to photograph our wedding and was flexible with how we approached the session the day of, as well as imaginative with her photograhic shots. With the hustle and bustle of the wedding day, having a photographer and team that can roll with it is key! We would highly recommend Cara for your photographic needs.

F8 was absolutely amazing! Cara is so personable, and was so responsive and flexible when working with me even when we had to reschedule the wedding to the next year for personal reasons. She did not charge us a cancellation fee and was so understanding. Adrienne was so cool and such an awesome photographer - so fun to work with! They both made us feel very special and Adrienne talked with us numerous times to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted and worked with us to make our packed photo schedule work out. She did our engagement photos as well and they were absolutely stunning. I can't wait to see the wedding photos! I would definitely recommend f8 to anyone getting married in the area. On top of being great in terms of service and personality, they are a great value!

Cara is such an amazing photographer! She made my fiance and I feel so comfortable during our engagement photo session. She truly captured everything we were hoping for. She is so creative and talented. She really listened to exactly what we wanted. She also made the entire experience SO much fun!! Cara is truly a PHENOMENAL Photographer and person. She was highly recommended by my Wedding Planner, Viva L'Event. When my husband and I met with Cara we knew immediately that she was a perfect fit. Her attitude will instantly put you at ease, and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Cara is professional, fun, and can keep your family members in line! When I saw our wedding photos, I was absolutely floored. They were better than I could have ever imagined, and captured the very essence of our day. Trusting someone with the task of taking your wedding photos is not something to be taken lightly, and I couldn't imagine working with anyone other than Cara.

Cara is absolutely incredible, I honestly could not recommend her any higher!! I never imagined that my photographer would turn out to be part of the wedding planning process- but she can really do it all. She helped me to find awesome vendors, and was truly a great friend during the entire process. The day of the wedding, she acted as a photographer and coordinator. She kept everyone on schedule, and made the best use of time. Cara is FUN, energetic, and made my husband and I feel completely at ease. We could not be happier with the pictures, she's brilliant!!

This is from a Grooms perspective. Our wedding was at Rose Hill Manor and I must admit I want to have another one because it was a lot of fun! I am writing this review because I was the main point of contact with Cara from F8 and my wife is pretty busy. I contacted F8, along with other photographers near the area, and within the day Cara had reached out to us. I have always been a believer in the phrase, "You get what you paid for" and photos were near the top of our priority list. Other photographers reached out to us, however, there was this personal touch about Cara that we just loved. I will explain this below. My now wife also loved the fact that she seemed very personal and after we got off the phone with her we both knew that she would be our photographer. The reasons were simple, there was no pressure to book her or her associate (who was cheaper), the prices were presented with nothing hidden, and she just wasn't a photographer, she was also a great help! I wouldn't be surprised if she doubles as a coordinator/photographer one day... During our first phone conversation and the conversations after, there wasn't just talk about photographs, but Cara helped us out with our DJ (Spin), Cake (Sweet Treats), and even had a coordinator if we needed one (we didn't). I assume being in the wedding business you meet a lot of vendors and her recommendations were spot on. As a groom, I was doing my research on vendors, and after her suggestions, I ended up going with them. Rose Hill has a list of preferred vendors, however, Sweet Treats was not on that list (Soon to be though I think). Where else would you get this type of service? Cara was also very flexible. My wife and I were suppose to visit, however we were not able to come since there was a lot of snow (we live in MD). When cancelling Cara was very understanding, and once my wife went to visit her face to face she was glad we went with Cara because of her knowledge of the venue, her portfolio of work, friendliness, and professionalism. During the wedding it was great, she laid out the plan before hand, but we had to switch it up due to the rain ALL DAY LONG (I have heard it's lucky, but everyone had a blast anyways). She handled the rain well and the photos turned out amazing! My wife also got fed up taking pictures during the wedding with my family, and trust me Cara had no problems to tell them no in a respectful/nice way. I think that is very important, you don't want someone who is taking your pictures to be a pushover. We just got our photos and love reliving the moment. Some advice to the people getting married: 1. If it is in your budget go with the video option! I did not realize how much behind the scenes you are when in a wedding and wish I could see everyone/everything that happened. 2. Also go with the photo booth option if it's within your budget. We had a photo booth and I don't think it was empty once. 3. Let Cara know everything/everyone you want to take photos with. I wish I would have told her I wanted pictures with a longer list of people b/c once the wedding starts you forget and are so busy it's a blur! I got pictures with the people I told her I wanted with, just wished the list was longer. Ok this was long enough. As you can see Cara was wonderful in every way and I didn't mind writing this review for her! Good luck in your search and best wishes for you!

I met with a few photographers while wedding planning, but once I met Cara I knew I had to pick her. Right from the beginning she was just so friendly. It was more about making my day perfect than a business deal. She kept in touch throughout my entire planning process, and she was so organized during everything. Everyone got to enjoy part of cocktail hour because pictures were done so efficiently, and I never felt stressed during my wedding day. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful, and she makes amazing custom albums as well that we are in the process of picking out pictures for. Cara was great, and we couldn't be happier with our choice!! I would highly highly recommend her any bride planning her wedding.

Cara's work speaks for itself. She was easy to work with and really took the time to get to know us. This brought such a personal touch to our engagement and wedding photos. She's such a professional. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning!!!! So many of them are like postcards. She captured us and the love we share from before the service to our exit. I would highly recommend Cara Galati from F8 Photo Studios to any bride who is looking for wedding pictures that truly capture the essence of your entire wedding day. My husband and I got married this past summer at Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville, North Carolina, but were not from the area (Indiana actually) so we really had to do a lot of research when it came to choosing vendors for our wedding day. Walter Marrotta the general manager at Rose Hill Plantation highly recommended F8 Photo Studios to my husband and I while we were visiting and that is how we came in contact with Cara. Cara was extremely easy to talk to over the phone and she was very helpful in giving other vendor recommendations as well! Because we lived out of state we did not get to do our engagement pictures with Cara, but we did meet with her the day before the wedding to talk with her about the wedding party, what pictures we specifically wanted, and the time line of events. This meeting helped calm my nerves a lot and did make the day of a lot less confusing and hectic! On the day of our wedding Cara was on time, professional, and really kept the day moving. Along with the help of our wedding planner, the two of these ladies really made our wedding day run smoothly and if there were any fires we did not notice them! Cara was great in instructing my bossy family on where to go to get everything done in a time efficient manner. She was not afraid to take the lead and keep everyone on schedule, which in the long run helped Andrew and I relax more and not worry about keeping people under control! After the ceremony and family/bridal party pictures, Cara took my husband and I for about an hour to do our pictures together (since we did not want to see each other beforehand) and I still cannot thank Cara enough for how she set this up! It gave my husband and I an hour to just enjoy the moment together and collect our nerves without everyone else around us. She made our private session so much fun and we felt extremely comfortable working with her. I was beyond excited to see all of the pictures she took for us and I was not disappointed when we received them! Cara takes absolutely stunning pictures and even captures small details that you as a bride will want to remember from beautiful portraits of table settings, your dress, shoes, flowers etc. I did not want all of our pictures to look like we were "posing", but Cara did a lot of action shots that were by far my favorites. She did a spectacular job at taking photos that were able to capture those truly blissful and happy moments that you wish you could relive every day! Overall, my husband and I were extremely happy with the services we received from F8 Photo Studios and specifically with Cara. She has a natural God given talent and I was extremely happy that we chose to work with her!

Cara is absolutely amazing. We had her do both our engagement and wedding photos so we really got to know each other and immediately clicked! We do not like our pictures taken but Cara was so funny and sweet that we didn't even care about the camera and had so much fun. All of our pictures are breathtaking with all the right moments captured perfectly! We get so many compliments from everyone who sees them. Such a talented lady : )
