Feast Your Eyes Catering

We interviewed several catering companies for my daughter's 9.4.21 outdoor home wedding. She (and now son-in-law) are "foodies" and wanted an interesting and "vegetable heavy" and gluten-free menu and no catering company came close to what FYE offered! Business owner, Lynn Buono, really heard what the wedding couple was asking for and designed a stellar cocktail-party type menu with passed hors d'oeuvres like miniature tuna poke bowls (w/ a vegan version) and vegetable pakoras w/ mint chutney. A fantastic greenscape offered many selections like roasted Brussels sprouts, butternut squash agro dolce and caprese salad w/ heirloom tomatoes. Dessert included small pies in miniature dishes and ice cream sandwiches. All of the food was fresh and incredible. The catering team (consisting of 9 hardworking, polite, professional and friendly individuals) took over my kitchen yet when they left at the end of the night, there was no trace of any of them having been there! Prior to the wedding, I walked into the kitchen to see if anyone needed anything (they didn't) but Lynn told me I should eat something because "you won't later on" and proceeded to offer me a couple pieces of the most delicious/fresh summer roll! Many of the guests remarked that the food served was "the best wedding food" they'd ever had. Lynn helped coordinate our rentals (tents, lights, dance floor) with hers (linens, tables, chairs, glassware, ect). She had many design layout suggestions, as well. Planning a wedding during COVID presented its own stresses. I was thrilled that Lynn said that her entire staff was vaccinated - they also wore masks throughout the evening. When COVID numbers started to increase again..she easily tweaked the original buffet design to incorporate more passed food and have more food served in individual containers. She had lucite screens for the bar and buffet areas, as well. It is without a doubt that FYE helped make my daughter's recent wedding one of the best days of my life.

In a very difficult year for wedding vendors, Feast Your Eyes catering and Lini could not have been more of a pleasure to work with! Because of COVID, we downsized our big wedding at Front and Palmer to a small backyard wedding. Nevertheless, Lini and her team were incredibly gracious and flexible with the extra complexity this DIY-wedding brought on. Lini was organized, courteous, and kind in coordinating EVERYTHING from the tent, rentals, floor plans, menu, and day-of coordination. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly thanks to Lini and her team. Each staff member was friendlier than the next. Jason, the bartender, was an instant hit with our families, and Eric, the event supervisor, not only made sure to find the bride every time he brought out the hors d’oeuvres but was also incredibly responsive when one of our guests needed first aid. And the food…well, a friend of ours had said long ago that the best wedding food she’s ever had was from Feast Your Eyes…and we completely agree! Highly recommend the edamame dumplings, grilled shrimp, crab cakes, and short ribs.

If I choose more than 5 stars I would! FYE was our caterer for our November 20 wedding. I am so happy we chose this company for our wedding because they have been MORE than accommodating during Covid. Lini, who is one of the event stylists/coordinators for FYE catering was fabulous. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I could not imagine planning this wedding with anybody else other than Lini! After having to reschedule our March wedding due to covid, Lini helped us find a venue that could host our November wedding in an outdoor space to accommodate many guests in a safe environment. One of the best parts about weddings is the food (in my opinion). My husband and I LOVE weddings for this reason and FYE created the best menu for our special day. Our guests raved about the food for days after. We really couldn’t have chosen a better catering company to host our wedding at a participating venue since we could not host an indoor wedding at Front and Palmer during this time. Thank you FYE and Lini for the best day of our life!

We loved working with FYE. Dottie was our planner and she was amazing. She was so communicative and proactive and really helped guide us through all the details, and accommodated all our requests. The dishes were delicious and so well presented, and the staff at the wedding was very attentive. They beautifully arranged our reception tables with the decorations we had provided to them, and they did not miss a beat even though our wedding began with a torrential downpour, acting quickly to help move our ceremony items underneath our tent. FYE is a great choice and we would highly recommend them.

My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about Feast Your Eyes Catering! After having to relocate our wedding from Front & Palmer to our own backyard due to COVID restrictions placed in Philadelphia, Lini Skiba jumped right in to help us plan and execute the perfect wedding in our own home. She was absolutely amazing from mapping out the space, to orchestrating the timeline perfectly, and kept everything running right on schedule. Lini worked with a rental vendor to provide a tent, tables, chairs, linens, and everything we needed to make our wedding happen. I can honestly say our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her! The food was fantastic! For cocktail hour we did six butlered hor d'oeuvres: Peking Duck Buns, Al Pastor Tacos with mini Patron Mango Margaritas (fantastic presentation), Filet Enoki Rolls, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, and Hot and Sour Cauliflower Bites. All of the passed hor d’oeuvres were delicious and we wouldn't change anything about them. If you’re looking for suggestions, the Al Pastor Tacos were a huge hit and have an awesome presentation with the mini margaritas. Also, if you're a duck fan we can’t recommend the duck buns enough; melts in your mouth. Lastly, the lobster mac and cheese was another big hit, the macaroni was similar to an orzo pasta with huge chunks of lobster. I personally never had mac and cheese with that type of pasta but it was delicious and we loved the presentation on the large spoon! For dinner we started with the Strawberry Drunken Goat Salad. The salad consisted of tuscan kale, spiced pecans, drunken goat cheese, roasted, pickled, and raw strawberries, with a peppered vinaigrette. Another hit and delicious starter that wasn’t too heavy which was perfect because we had a double entree of barolo braised short ribs and a jumbo lump crab cake. If you are using Feast Your Eyes catering and you take one thing away from the review PLEASE make sure you order the braised short rib. All of our wedding guests were raving about the short rib and it truly was one of the best I have ever eaten! The crab cake was good too but the short rib really knocked it out of the park. Our wedding cake was also done by Feast Your Eyes and we went with a carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting. I know carrot cake is not for everyone but it really was delicious and well liked by our guests. Overall we could not be more happy with Lini and Feast Your Eyes catering. They made our wedding so incredibly special and just absolutely perfect. We will definitely use them in the future!
