A meticulously maintained historic home, the Commanding General’s Residence and Garden at Fort Monroe is the ideal setting to make your event historic!
Built in 1907 the Commanding General’s Residence was the home of the Commanding Generals at Fort Monroe until its decommissioning in 2011. This beautiful example of classical revival architecture includes an expansive formal garden in the back complete with a white gazebo and a large front porch which provides stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay. Perfect for small to medium sized weddings, the house can accommodate up to 60 people seated inside or up to 150 people standing. Additional rooms upstairs can be rented for the wedding party to relax before the ceremony.

Beautiful venue,staff is friendly and is quick to reply, everything was set up exactly as planned, clean up is quick and easy. Location requires very little additional decor. I would highly recommend this location for your wedding/reception.
