Morgan was amazing with her constant support helping us with all our handmade touches and unique ideas, useing her expertise and experience to make it all happen seamlessly. The entire staff was terrific, friendly and helpful. The service and food was spot on. It really was magical, and off the beaten path in all the best ways. We had a glorious time and a truly wonderful experience in every way.

wanted a venue that could immerse our guests in the region. We looked at a few venues in the area that could host our guests on site but Full Moon truly stood out above all the rest for its combination of stunning grounds, reasonable accommodations, and incredible staff. While we were initially hesitant before touring because the size of our wedding meant we had to do the Sunday - Tuesday wedding package, the first visit blew us away. We toured on a Friday and ran into the arriving wedding couple who took a moment out of their set up process to shout to us “get married here, you won’t regret it” - which we took as a good sign. Another good sign was the smell of the food - the kitchen was preparing for the Welcome BBQ and it smelled incredible. Paul was so great to work with - my only complaint was that we didn’t get to work with him more after the initial contract signing! After we signed the contract and started working with the event team we could tell we were in good hands. The event team (Morgan/Kayla/Nikki) was so responsive to all of our questions and clearly had their process down to a science. Tia and the front desk team made getting all the accommodations figured out a breeze. We had heard from our neighbors who had been to two previous weddings at Full Moon that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had, so we were pretty excited going into our tasting day. We were not disappointed. The food and beverage team was great, Max walked us through all the beverage options and chef Adam came around to answer any questions about the food. We had a smattering of vegan/celiac/etc guests and Full Moon was so accommodating of all our guests dietary needs. And finally the big weekend arrived last June. It went by quickly, but the whole Full Moon team made sure it went by without a single hitch. From the moment we arrived everything just went so smoothly. Our guests loved everything being contained on the property. The food was so good and so plentiful all weekend - we had many guests come up to us and tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever had, including my uncle who is in a wedding band and has eaten hundreds of wedding meals. The many spaces, from the lower glen where we got married to the pavilion, were stunning and well-maintained, and our friends still talk about how cool the afterparty spot was. I can’t say enough about the team at Full Moon, whatever we needed they were able to help us with. When I mentioned that one of the blinds in my room wasn’t retracting all the way, it was entirely replaced within an hour. When one of my guests ran into car trouble and was going to take an hour-long Uber, Janet at the front desk threw out that she could pick him up (I’m not sure if she was serious or not, but still). Nikki and the event team took so many things off our plate that we had thought we would need to be on top of, like setting up our decor at the ceremony site or keeping our flowers watered. They are exceptional and made it so easy for my wife and I to focus on us, our love, and celebrating with our guests. If you’re on the fence about getting married at Full Moon, do it, you won’t regret it. hole weekend was such an amazing experience. The rooms and cottages are all modern without losing the sense of country quaintness you want there to be. The staff here is probably its biggest selling point though - these people are PROS. We literally didn't have to think about much of anything except having a good time, and that's what the staff's goal is from the moment you set foot on the resort to start your wedding weekend. They are all warm and friendly, and make very clear that they are there for you and will give you the most special, magical experience possible. In the beginning of planning I had gotten worried that I was going to be overwhelmed with the room assignments, etc - but they are so patient and willing to walk you through every step to keep it from being stressful. We had a lot of last minute changes in regard to our seating plans, and they totally took it in stride and never once made it seem like we were being a pain. The barn is rustic and beautiful, the pavilion is classy and gorgeous, and then we had the after party at the roadhouse which is just a really cool bar setting... and it's all right there! Morgan walked us through every detail, we had Nikki and Gigi and Tia all there to tie it all together - they are such amazing people that it felt like saying goodbye to family when we left there. There is literally only one negative about having your wedding here, and it's that it goes by too fast! But they definitely ensured that we got to really enjoy every moment, and we can't wait to visit there during the off season when they have the Airbnb! I would highly recommend to anyone to definitely book your wedding with Full Moon. Our families and friends are all still raving about it too!

They made sure that the bridal party and all our guests were treated with the utmost respect and care. From the morning of the wedding day, they ensured that the bridal party was well taken care of with food and drinks, keeping us hydrated and well-fed as we prepared for the big day. They were constantly checking in, making sure we had everything we needed and that every detail was perfect. They even helped set up our ceremony site, which turned out absolutely gorgeous. The food throughout the weekend was another highlight! Every single guest raved about how incredible the meals were, with many saying it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We were so impressed by the quality and variety, and the Full Moon team truly delivered an unforgettable culinary experience. Nicole’s presence and sense of humor made her a standout member of the bridal party team. She was attentive to every need, keeping things light and fun while ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the day. What stood out most to us, though, was the expertise and care Full Moon offers as a wedding venue. They specialize in weddings, and it’s evident in every detail, from the seamless coordination to the thoughtful, personalized service. Their list of trusted vendors was an invaluable resource for us, especially since we weren’t local to the area. We ended up going with Legion Fireworks, and as promised, they were fantastic! Our guests had an amazing time as well. Some went hiking through the beautiful surroundings and even spotted wild animals like bald eagles, bears, and deer. Others loved their cabins, which provided every comfort imaginable and made for a perfect stay. We truly had the most magical wedding weekend, and we are already looking forward to celebrating our 10-year anniversary at Full Moon. This venue and its amazing staff made our special day even more memorable, and we cannot wait to return to such a beautiful place with the most incredible team. We were absolutely amazed by the FMR Team’s warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism, and how much they did throughout the weekend to keep everything running smoothly. The Friday night BBQ with s’mores afterward was the perfect welcome dinner vibe. Saturday was filled with yoga, lawn games, hikes, an espresso cart, and other activities that the Full Moon staff helped set up seamlessly. Our ceremony was at the Lower Grove, and being next to the stream was perfect. The cocktail hour felt magical, with half on the lawn and half in the Pavilion. The reception went perfectly, and I think the highlight was the Roadhouse for the afterparty. It was the ideal setting for late-night partying, allowing people to dance, relax in the booths, or enjoy late-night snacks. We’d highly recommend Full Moon Resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable wedding venue with a team who truly cares. is all well-trained, the property grounds are well-landscaped and maintained, and the guest accommodations have a wide variety to accommodate all budgets and needs. Most importantly, the event team is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I had so many questions in the year leading up to the wedding, and they answered every single one of my emails with such professionalism and promptness. They also made their needs from us very clear, and communicated them with plenty of time for us to gather and provide the requested information. Once we arrived for the wedding weekend, they insisted that we leave everything in their hands, and they fully delivered. They think of every detail, and make it so that not only the bride and groom, but also the families and guests don't have to do anything except have fun and enjoy the celebration. Morgan, Kayla, Nikki, Corinne, Tia, and Josh are all AWESOME. All of our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful and unique of a location this venue is as well. It's truly an amazing experience for all involved, and I cannot recommend the venue more!!

The food was incredible and so many of our guests are still mentioning how much they enjoyed it. Multiple guests mentioned how great our bartenders were. The accommodations onsite are so lovely and takes stress off your plate not having to find transportation or a shuttle. I decided on a Sunday wedding which I was initially nervous about, but so many of our friends and family have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and I have zero regrets about it now! I think it’s rare for a bride to feel everything went right on their wedding day & I feel so lucky that I do after all that was put into planning. So very highly recommended to anyone considering venues! *( if booking with Full Moon, strongly recommended considering using their recommended vendors. Having a DJ and florist who were very familiar with the venue & worked with FMR team before took so much off my plate and made my day much more enjoyable!!!)

, the day before our wedding while guests were arriving. They did everything possible to keep our guests comfortable and safe (including shuttling them to & from cars that were stuck down the road). And when power went out in the area, they were able to run power on their generators to keep our event moving and wonderful without issue. The wedding day was gorgeous. The grounds are stunning and our guests had a blast exploring the grounds and playing lawn games before the ceremony. As the bride, I hardly had to think about any logistics because the staff was so helpful and on top of everything. We really appreciated their extra thoughtful touches like decorating our reception area with meaningful ceremony site items and checking in with us throughout the day to see if there was anything we needed (food, water, cold compresses for my eyes when I didn’t get the best night sleep the day before). The food was excellent. One of our guests said they’d been to 50+ weddings over the years and it was the best food they’d ever had. FMR team - thanks for making magic during our weekend. Best time of our lives!

itself is gorgeous - feels like you’re at a boujee summer camp, which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The food is above average wonderful for a wedding venue. Especially the sashimi tuna cones at cocktail hour! Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how much they loved our wedding and venue. Would recommend full moon to anyone!!

g with various vendors. I wanted a venue where all of my wedding guests could stay onsite, and where we could plan multiple events without breaking the bank. Then we saw some extremely expensive ones, and I mean $100-200k just for the venue alone, which is CRAZY! Like, no thanks. Enter Full Moon Resort. From the moment we met with their team we know this was a special place. Nestled in the heart of the Catskills (Big Indian, NY) they have over 100 acres of property and numerous locations onsite where you can host your welcome dinner, reception, breakfast/lunch and after party, as well as unique housing for all of your guests. The entire staff at the front desk, specifically Tia Williams, seriously deserves some kind of award. They were all extremely responsive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Tia helped me (on a short time frame) organize all of my 100+ guests into the right rooms. She also helped with our invitations and ensuring we had the right wording, as it was a two-day destination event with nuances. There was never a time that I emailed and didn't have a response within 24 hours. The onsite event staff, specifically Kayla Friedman, made all of the planning so easy (no we did not have a wedding planner - just the staff at Full Moon)! From our tasting, to the flow of the entire weekend, nothing was overlooked by this team. On my wedding day I even had two full-time FMR assistants (Nikki and Gigi) that attended to my every need! On top of everything, they also made vendor coordination seamless. Additionally, my nephew has special needs and needed a wheelchair ramp installed, which the staff made happen! They also built out a special changing area for him during the wedding reception. My sister was shocked, and mentioned that she had never received such proactive support. And.. oh.. the food - WAS AMAZING. WOW. And I'm picky. The rooms onsite were also extremely clean, well maintained, and were perfect for us and our guests. Everyone truly listened and cared about our experience. They also did not nickel and dime us for anything, and were extremely honest and fair with their pricing. I can't thank everyone enough for making our wedding weekend one we will never forget! We absolutely plan to come back for years to come ;).

. And that’s the best part, it wasn’t just a wedding it was an experience. An event that was shared by our family and friends that felt like a concert. Maybe it’s that Woodstock vibe that just weaves itself into you while you’re there. We had a two day event that included late night at the roadhouse after the reception and a BBQ the following day. Not going to lie, the weather was garbage for my wedding weekend. However; it didn’t take away from our special day. We used the tent for the ceremony, we took pictures in doors mostly, and the bonfire got cut short due to rain ~ but again, we had a blast. The team had a back up plan for the coldest rainiest weekend in November. And my pictures came out stunning! I still hear compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding they ever attended and the best food by far. Their pies are so delicious. I’d like to take a ride back up to the Catskills to get a few more. Their team was really incredible. They know every detail of their operation and manage it well. I never once stressed out about anything that was in their control. I had help with decor and a lot of my DIY items. All handled with care and displayed with attention to detail. Truly, from the time we stepped foot on those grounds we knew this was where we wanted to get married. We had been dating for 12 years and already had the house and kids ~ a full life together. Full Moon gave us the perfect location and experience to have a celebration of our lives together and make our memories more than we could have hoped for. We are a lucky couple who can truly say that we had the time of our lives for our wedding! I owe a large share of that to Full Moon. It’s a special place, you have to see it for yourself, You ll feel what I mean.

a smile and great attitude. I have very high standards and our experience working with the Full Moon Resort team exceeded my expectations! I wanted a lot of unique, customizations from the food to the floor plan layout to the locations on the property for the various parts of our celebration, they truly made everything I want happen. They staff was really accommodating of our older guests who needed assistance around the property, and were also so respectful of our religious practices for Shabbat on Friday night. I was not an easy bride to say the least, and leading up to the big day when the weather was looking cold and rainy, the staff really helped brighten things up for me with your cheerful attitudes. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making my wedding dreams come true. The chef needs his own review bc he was outstanding! It's a lot of food to prepare and every dish throughout the weekend spectacular (that is saying a lot coming from a Food Network employee)! I wanted an over the top cocktail hour spread and the chef worked with me hand in hand to make it everything I dreamed of! He was also so accommodating to all our guests dietary restrictions. What truly makes a good party are the drinks and the head of the beverages really worked with us on a custom bar with signature drinks that our guests raved about! Last but not least, the reception team at Full Moon is truly top notch! We had to make many room changes and they were so patient dealing with us and our guests. We had a guest show up who did not rsvp or make a reservation to surprise us and they quickly found him accommodations on site. The entire team was really on top of it all. It was a pleasure working together! Full Moon Resort is truly magical and what makes it even more special is all the staff. I highly recommend the venue and the team!!!

was special. We were looking for a venue where the majority of our guests could stay on-site, spend quality time together and escape in nature. Full Moon provided all of that and more! We got so many compliments on how much people enjoyed the setting, meeting in the barn for their meals and the full weekend of programming from the welcome dinner and bonfire, to yoga the morning of the wedding, farewell brunch and being able to explore the property and nearby towns. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our requests were taken care of and our questions were answered - and trust me I had a lot! Even though Full Moon was juggling planning multiple weddings (50+ to be exact), they always made me feel like I had their undivided attention and were willing to get on as many calls as I wanted starting from the day we signed the contract. When it came to the day of the wedding, we knew we were in great hands! I was a very hands on bride and Morgan, Nikki and Clare are true pros and gave me full confidence to let go and enjoy the day myself! They managed the entire timeline including some last minute weather changes. We are still receiving compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the food, stunning venue and full weekend experience. Thank you to the entire Full Moon Staff especially Morgan and Tia!!

an opening the weekend of July 15 for our wedding. As soon as we visited the property, we knew it was perfect for us. Not only were the picturesque surroundings breathtaking, but we loved that all of our friends and family could stay on site. Moreover, FMR and their incredible team provide everything you could need including amazing food, pre and day-of coordination, as well as recommendations for vendors such as florists, photographers, etc. to make planning as easy as possible. From the start of our planning journey, the staff was impeccable. Kind, warm, knowledgable and extremely on top of everything. They were patient and accommodating, and just a joy to get to know. From their chef, to bar manager, to event manager and everyone in between, we could not have asked to encounter a kinder group of people. The food was AMAZING; breakfast, lunch, and dinners were all delicious. Multiple people said this was the best wedding food they've had. We opted for the tapas style and got an amazing mix of passed hors d'oeuvres and entrees. Special mention to the custom mozzarella sticks they made for us, as well as the coconut shrimp which you should absolutely not miss. We had a delicious funfetti cake prepared in-house (I definitely recommend having FMR make your cake, they're so talented and the cakes are GORGEOUS), and they also accommodated two special beverage requests for the night-before BBQ (a rum punch) and the reception (make your own gin and tonics with local garnishes—I mean, come on!). We had a gorgeous cocktail hour on the lawn prior to the reception and it was one of the most stunning settings (plus an amazing meat and cheese board which is very important to me :) The after party was at the Roadhouse, their on-site bar, and that was an absolute blast. They also delivered some late-night pizzas which were must-appreciated by our guests. The accommodations were lovely and I can't stress enough how special it was to have everyone stay on sight. Everyone go to know each other and bond over the weekend; so many unexpected and wonderful connections were made. My husband and I can quite literally say this was the best weekend of our lives so if you're looking for a place to get married in upstate NY, this is the place to do it. We're eternally grateful to the FMR staff! They are genuinely people I would love to stay in touch with going forward.
