From the beginning george street was such an easy and positive experience. Our initial meeting with a coordinator was super helpful and informative. Our first meeting with Nelson, our photographer, was so nice. He really made us comfortable for our engagement photoshoot and the pictures we got were so nice. Our photographer (Samantha) was excellent! She was so kind and helpful and contributed a lot of wonderful ideas and the photos all came out fantastic! Everything after the introductory phone call was perfect. My only gripe was that after we signed the contract to go with George St., we really didn’t hear anything back until the week before the wedding. There’s a lot of pressure and stress that goes on during the week before a wedding and maybe I’m just a bit paranoid but would’ve liked to hear from our photographer a little bit sooner next time, perhaps a month. Again, during our wedding ceremony, the reception, and all the updates we received after the fact were a great experience and helpful. The final results were breathtaking and left my and my wife teary eyed all over again. I would absolutely recommend them to any other prospective couples who need a great photographer for a very reasonable price!

I loved going through George Street Photo & Video for my photography for my wedding. The first meeting was amazing and she answered all my questions. They kept in touch and were organized with how the day was going to go. The week of the wedding, my lead photographer hurt her back and they were in touch with me in an instant and found me another photographer so quick! Misha was amazing and he made us feel so comfortable. He got us into poses and had us be natural. I would highly recommend using George Street and also Misha!

Choosing George Street Photography was the best decision we could have made for our special day!! Jessica R and Lisa were amazing throughout the day. Through communicating months prior, to planning out the day-of schedule everything was user friendly and Nora the coordinator was very quick to respond to any and all questions! My primary photographer Jessica not only took incredible photos of our day but also went above and beyond to help me with my veil, hold my dress while walking, and even help my sister with my bustle! I couldn’t have asked for a better team or better photos that I know will last a lifetime!

I had such an amazing experience with my photographer, Misha, on my wedding day. He had such a great eye and always helped you out to make the picture look the best. He would even fix my necklace so it wasn’t crooked or give direction on where to look or how to stand. He was very professional and friendly. He knew exactly where he needed to be at all times. The George Street team was professional and helpful from start to finish. I always received prompt responses to my questions, and always felt like we were in good hands. I talked with Heidi, our lead photographer, several times before the wedding, including on a detailed phone call a few days prior. Ken, our videographer, was also super helpful and had a phone call with me leading up to the wedding. Working with our lead photographer was adequate, but when our second photographer had car troubles and a replacement could not come until 6:30PM, I think that caused a lot of issues for our lead photographer. He was unable to really get all of the photos we were looking for. The locations were poorly chosen; as opposed to having the beautiful foliage background on the lake, many of our photos are centered around a patchy grass area. Looking back, maybe I could have spoken up, but you are so overwhelmed on your wedding day, it can be difficult to find a voice! While going through the photos, there are many I love, but I found it disheartening when I had trouble finding just one appropriate enough for our thank you card. The photographs could have been photoshopped to remove certain elements (ie: fire alarm, boxes, etc). I do not feel there were personal touches to the editing standpoint; maybe some increased saturation and better lighting. I do not walk away from my wedding day completely disappointed, but I am not entirely thrilled. Not having a second photographer caused a huge delay in timing, ideas, and a second pair of eyes. I also think trying to coordinate with the bride only 1-2 days prior to the wedding for a photography list is not adequate timing. I'm unsure of the importance of creating a timeline on the website when I'm not entirely sure the photographer even looks at it. Overall, I would say 3.5/5 stars.

I was very nervous to find a photographer because I've heard horror stories from different brides. I went with George Street Photos because the reviews were great and I was not disappointed, starting with the first meeting for an overview of what the company offers all the way to my wedding day with Thomas and the associate photographer. Both photographers were professional and reminded us of the photos we had requested from the form filled out online. Heidi was the perfect photographer for our wedding day. During our engagement session, she was so kind, fun, relatable, and accommodating. She made the day fun and helped us get into the groove of taking pictures and feeling good about it! On the wedding day, she was patient and compassionate with us as we were pulled back and forth to do different things. She also made sure she was able to get everyone together to take all of the posed pictures we wanted to take and more pictures of her own ideas, which were beautiful. She (and Christian, our second photographer that worked with Heidi) did such an amazing job capturing candid shots and all of the most important moments of the wedding that we will cherish forever. We received so many wonderfully mastered photos that truly captured our personalities and emotions that day. George Street is the way to go for a reasonable and good quality photographer! We were shocked by the price of some photographers when planning our wedding, and this was a good price for a long coverage time. I had left a review soon after my wedding but it seems like I didn’t make the cut. In the very beginning, I was sold on their prices and the people were really nice. However, communication wasn’t great after I had spoken to their main rep who got me set up with the company. Anytime I emailed someone, I would get a different person. Eventually I had someone who was very informative and helpful throughout the rest of my planning. What I did not like was a few days before the engagement photos, I was told I would need a permit for engagement photos (by the original person I was put in touch with). This threw me off a lot and I was not happy about changing my location. There was a lot of back and forth with the company and my lead photographer so I took it upon myself to communicate with my photographer and arrange for a common time and date that worked for us for photos. Another issue I had was needing to buy and provide music for the videography. I was told a few days before my wedding that I had to provide an mp3 file because George street doesn’t own any rights to songs. No other videography company required this (after I asked around). Also, please save yourself- go with another videographer. I did not get to choose mine or preview any samples. My video was awful and I regret it. Otherwise, our photographer Thomas was great to work with and he captured some cool shots...but I do wish we had gone with another company. The photographers were not mindful of the background, presentation of the bridesmaids/groomsmen, some people weren’t even looking at the camera. Yes, they’re affordable... but spend a little more and you won’t regret it like I did Their platform for creating your wedding album and editing your video is not user friendly so be aware if you aren’t tech savvy. —————- The company reached out to me since they saw this review. I will say, they tried to “make things right”... but it was a long process especially for someone who works evenings/nights during the pandemic. All in all, they took in my feedback but I’m still not completely satisfied. What really aggravated me was that they tried to bribe me with free things in return of a signed settlement stating that I would delete my reviews. I do not recommend GS in Connecticut.

For our wedding we had two wonderful photographers (Heidi & Lisa) and videographer (joe) they all made the day so easy and comfortable for everyone involved. No stiff personalities at all!!! We cannot wait to see the beautiful work once it’s ready. I highly recommend this company for your big day. You will not regret it for a second!! I booked a photographer through this company and had to cancel due to COVID. So I am giving one star (if I could give 0 stars I would) to the company and not to the photographer. Working with them to get an adequate refund is a nightmare. You would think under these type of circumstances they would be a bit more understanding. My word of advice is read your contact carefully and ask questions before you sign because customer service is everything and theirs is by far my worst experience.

We cannot say enough good things about Ryan & Sarah from George Street Photography! I was a little nervous about not being able to meet them until the actual wedding day, but once they arrived, it was clear I had nothing to be nervous about. They really understood what was important to us & made sure to capture those moments. We were really impressed that we had the photos back within a month & are in love with them all. We received so many compliments on our photos & the professionalism of the photographers. I would highly recommend George Street Photographers.

George Street has been fantastic! We had plenty of preparation and on the day of, the video/photo team were well coordinated. They got our favorite shots and were more than willing to work with us. Due to our work lives we procrastinated with the end/finalization process on corrections submitting them late and beyond. This team went above and beyond to make our dream wedding video possible and had it all done in time. They really went above and beyond. The ground team is organized, responsive, and good at what they do while I can say the exact same thing for the office staff. My Husband and I were married this summer and used George Street Photography for our Photo and Video. Ryan our lead photographer, Sylwia our assistant photographer and Andre our videographer were all FANTASTIC. I wish I could put into words how wonderful they all were. They were all so talented, and kind. Not only was I happy to have them as a vendor, but also a part of our wedding. They were fun and friendly, smiling, and altered the day to fit our specific needs and wishes. When we had questions or concerns, staff were prompt to respond to our emails and we were always able to get in contact with someone by phone. I could not say enough great things about George Street. We LOVE all of our pictures and we have probably watched our video at least 20 times already. Quality pictures were one of the most important parts of our wedding and I am so so glad we had this great of an experience. I highly highly recommend.

We decided to go with George Street because they were so reasonable compared to other photographers! We had engagement pictures done before the wedding with the same photographer and we LOVED them! Jen was so easy to work with, helpful, and would try to mimic any photo we wanted to take. On our wedding day she was so professional, sweet to guests, and made sure she got all of the pictures I wanted. It was incredibly hot, but she took photos so fast and got everyone in and out of different shots, that we got so many beautiful photos, even though it didn’t take long! I highly recommend this company as they are very punctual with returning photos and helpful every step of the way!

I had a great experience. They do try to up-sell you a bit at the initial consultation, but in general everyone was communicative and helpful whenever I needed it. My photographers and videographer were professional and punctual, and I absolutely love how my photos turned out!

I am so very disappointed I decided to take a chance on George Street. I am giving two stars as our photographer is an incredible person and we connected right away and for just meeting on the day of that is pretty great. So as a person she is really great. My day of coordination team /Wedding Planner stated they worked with George Street before and had nothing but good things to say about your company so I felt I made the right choice. I was so wrong . Also my initial phone conversations and email all were extremely organized and the George Street team are really great in that sense. However I am sad to look at my Wedding photos. I was hoping for a more soft romantic and not so grainy coloring even though I had bright colors for my wedding. My photos didn’t resemble the portfolio initially shown when I chose my photographer. It looks like someone just took photos with an iPhone. Nothing like what George Street advertised on instagram. I wished multiple photos were taken of everything as I or someone else has their eyes closed or in one picture I am not smiling and everyone else is. I can’t see what’s behind the lense. No real direction was given by the photographer. I wish someone told me to stand straight in the photos I didn’t know I was slouching down and appeared pregnant in my heavy dress. I had brought my invitation and had set my jewelry and shoes out for a stylized invitation suite and the photographer took a photo of my earrings on a flat wrinkled shawl and left the tag that holds the earrings on and then took a photo of my invitation set on the seat of a couch cushion with no real use of imagination or creativity it looked again like a camera phone picture. I had also requested a photo of each table. Which was not done. I am sorry to complain but I am really so very disappointed. I contacted George Street AND compared the photos they advertise to the photos I received and they really didn’t see what I saw in the photos and thought nothing was wrong. REALLY You don’t see the tags on the jewelry or the wet paper behind the item you photographed or half of the photos either someone is not looking or they have our eyes closed or my bridesmaids shawl was hanging to one side and not like the others... I could go on and on. My husband and I had an incredible day otherwise and I can’t go back in time to fix these things and I will just have to move forward. I just won’t have some of my wedding photos displayed in our house like I hoped we would. And will not be recommending George Street to anyone.

Although my wedding is not here yet, the process that George Street has has been great. They have great packages and everything available for you in one place. We got to talk to them and see different photogropher's portfolios and found our perfect match. We also have the perfect opportunity to meet out photographer for engagment photos which will allow our photographer to get to know us and our styles. They did all the planning, even gave us suggestions for engagment photo locations. I am so excited and cant wait.

Our photographer was great to work with! She captured some amazing shots without being noticeable, which is exactly what we wanted. Our only wish was that she was more directive during the family photo section in particular, in effort to take some pressure off of us on our big day. But overall, wonderful company to work with!

We had Carlo swoop in as our photographer at the very last minute when we received word about an emergency with the original photographer we had booked. I felt a bit apprehensive as we hadn’t seen Carlo’s work before and pretty much had my heart set on the first photographer, but Carlo sure did not disappoint. The photos he took of us came out absolutely stunning, at times even surreal. Communication was also excellent and the poses he had us do were fun and unique. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend George Street to anyone in need of a wedding photographer.
