With my daughter’s wedding scheduled 300 miles away from us, all of the arrangements had to be made sight (and site) unseen but, from the first phone call, innkeeper Terry Ferguson assured me that they would take care of everything. Their on-site chef, bartender and event planner worked with me on every detail of the accommodations and post wedding dinner. The interior of the lodge is lovely, yet unpretentious, inviting everyone to relax and enjoy themselves- and they have plenty of porches and rockers to entice you into doing just that. The separate cottage was perfect for the pre-wedding preparations, as well as a quiet place for the bride and groom to get away for a few peaceful moments, when need be. And there were plenty of rooms that were easy for our more elderly guests to navigate in and out of. Coordination with the cake designer, Just Simply Delicious, and Ray’s Florist and Greenhouse was seamless. PLUS the bride and groom could bring their dogs. And this was really the primary consideration. No dogs. No booking. I want to go back, when I can sit on their big back porch dining area and sip a beverage, without having to think about a wedding. Now that would be relaxing!
