Owner Kathy and their team have decades of experience in the beauty industry and constantly keep up with the latest trends and techniques. They all work with a family-friendly, professional demeanor to ensure that everyone feels welcome. Their full-service salon is located just steps away from the Olde Mystic Village and Mystic Aquarium and is a short drive from Mohegan Sun Casino. Before your big day, Hair Unique II offers makeup trials as a chance for you to experiment with different colors and aesthetics. Their hair stylists can also provide long-term treatments, from highlights to protein treatments, for you to sport throughout your honeymoon. The team can also complete your nuptial look with additional treatments, including beard trimming, haircuts, and waxing.

Hair Unique was the perfect start to the most perfect day! My makeup and hair, done by Isabelle, was flawless! Every artist that worked with us was so nice and so talented, we had so much fun getting ready! Thank you so much for making me, my bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law look and feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day and at a great value! We stayed at the Hilton Mystic and were able to walk to the salon for hair and makeup, which was so convenient. We were able to bring in food and drinks and they were very accommodating! The newly renovated salon looked great in photos and videos and they were able to work on multiple bridesmaids at one time, which meant we didn't have to get there super early in the morning. The morning of our wedding day was stress-free because of the amazing team at Hair Unique! I can't recommend them enough for wedding party hair and makeup in the Mystic/Stonington area!

Sarah and Amy were amazing. They worked so well with my bridal party and were so sweet taking care of us. They did the hair so well it stayed in on everyone all day in the heat. The makeup was wonderful as well. Would highly recommend.

The ladies at Hair Unique were incredible in accommodating my bridal party. Kathy made the scheduling process easy: she scheduled individual hair and makeup appointments for each of my seven bridesmaids, myself, and my mom well in advance of the big day. On the day itself, they allowed us to take over part of the salon so we could hang out together while each girl got her hair or makeup done. Each girl had a picture of the style she wanted, and the stylists delivered! The ladies looked STUNNING-- the makeup was enough to notice, but really only enhanced their natural beauty. Sarah did my hair, which turned out beautifully. I had done a hair trial with her a few months earlier, and she was able to recreate the very intricate braids perfectly. Amy did my makeup, which I received compliments on all night. They both made me feel spectacular on my special day, and I would highly recommend the ladies at Hair Unique!

They were awesome! I highly recommend. As a bride, I certainly looked the most beautiful I've ever looked. I had hair and makeup done, on a Sunday, which was amazing, because they are technically closed, so we had the place to ourselves. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning and early afternoon of my wedding day. Exceptional service!

We booked 7 of us to come into the salon at the same time for the wedding day which worked out nicely because we were staying at the Comfort Inn which is practically right next door. Everyone was finished very quickly and they even accommodated a couple family members who wanted a quick styling without an appointment. They were great with kids too. Our two flower girls felt like little princesses! It took me two hair trials to be happy but day of my hair looked great! It had some looser curled pieces in the back that didn't last the night but my hair is straight and it rained all day so I'm not really surprised. If you are getting married in the area and want to have the experience of everyone going out to the salon together, give them a call.

This salon opened on Sunday morning JUST for my bridal party! They had us in and out within 4 hours and our hair looked GREAT! There were 11 different hairstyles and they stayed put throughout the entire day/night. I highly recommend this salon for wedding hairdos!

Hair Unique did a fantastic job with me and my bridal party for our wedding undos. Maureen was my stylist, and I couldn't say better things about the job she did. I am not from the Mystic area, so I took a chance just picking out a salon that was close to the hotel we were getting ready at (The salon is right across the street from the Mystic Hilton, very convenient!). I am very glad I picked this salon. The day of the hair trial, I had some pictures of how I wanted my hair, and she pulled out a book of photos of updos she had done, and the style I wanted was in it. After the hair trial, I liked the style so much, that I decided to go out and buy a little flower clip to wear in my hair for the reception instead of having it covered by my veil the entire night. The day of the wedding, the salon was able to handle doing my hair, my mom, and my 6 bridesmaids, all in less than 2 hours. The salon manager was also very organized and did a great job coordinating all the girls. The price was very reasonable as well.
