We chose Heidelberg Pastry Shop for our wedding cake initially at the recommendation of several close friends. We first set up a cake tasting consultation to see if we liked the cake, etc. Wow! Seriously, the most delicious cake we've had before! The owner Klaus is so kind and helped us choose which cake flavor we wanted as well as the design. The price was very reasonable and he recommended us to do a 3 tier cake plus a full sheet cake to accommodate the number of guests we were expecting as well as our budget. A few months after putting a deposit down we decided we wanted a different style cake. We went in and easily changed it based on photos/verbal description. Our cake was gorgeous on the day of and so many of our guests came up to us, telling us it was the best wedding cake they ever had. So good! And, as an added bonus they'll remake the top tier of your wedding cake on your 1 year anniversary. We still took home our top tier and have been nibbling in on the last two weeks. So good, even though it's been in the freezer. Heidelberg Pastry Shop is family owned, friendly, professional and super talented!! The sweetest people own this shop and care deeply about their customers. We had a 4 tier cake and it was awesome - the buttercream layer with strawberry’s and vanilla cake was the best cake I’ve tasted.

Heidelberg Pastry Shop created our beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake for our wedding on 4/28/18. When we went for the cake tasting, the customer service was fantastic and they were very professional. We ended up with a 4 tiered round cake - chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, white cake with lemon with bavarian cream filling, white cake with raspberry with bavarian cream filling, and red velvet. We went with butter cream frosting. The cake was delivered on time and so beautiful. The pattern they made with the frosting was so pretty with our cake topper. We got comments like, "This is the BEST cake I've EVER had!" and "Can we get another piece??" They were professional throughout the process and so friendly. When we went to make the final payment, they gave us free pastries too. Sifting through vendor reviews for your wedding is a lot of work and stress. Save yourself time and go to Heidelberg!

The best wedding cake! Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how good the cake was. They delivered and it was absolutely perfect. We can't wait to enjoy a piece of our top tier on our first anniversary. :)

We ordered a two-tiered carrot cake along with chocolate cupcakes and vanilla buttercream cupcakes with raspberry filling. The carrot cake was light, frosted with buttercream and filled with Bavarian cream and a thin layer of pineapple. All were absolutely amazing! I don't think you could go wrong with any of their cakes.

Amazing wedding cake and the owner is the nicest guy! He is so professional and made decisions easy and the final product was spectacular... everyone was talking about how delicious the cake was! We had a three tiers of different types of cake based off of what we had at the cake tasting. Then we ordered brownies for a to-go treat for our guests. They are the best brownies you will ever eat. Hands down.

Heidelberg Pastry Shop was the first and only place we went for cake tasting. From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly and helpful. We tasted and loved every flavor and had a hard time choosing! We provided a design and it turned out exactly how we wanted. Honestly the best cake we've ever had!

Heidelberg Pastry Shop made the most perfect wedding cake for us! We went to our tasting and they were so nice to us and really took great care to answer all of our questions and make recommendations we hadn't considered before. We couldn't decide on one flavor as they were all amazing, they let us do multiple flavors for our cake! The day of the wedding our cake looked exactly like what we had discussed from the photo we sent them!!!! It was like the photo had become 3D!! It was just beautiful!!! We received a ton of compliments on how GOOD our cake tasted, one guest fessed up to eating FOUR slices he loved it so much! We loved this bakery so much we are already planning to use them in the future for birthdays!

Klaus and Heidelberg Bakery are my favorite now! There are so nice there, had a great cake tasting set up for us and are really sweet. The cake is the best wedding cake I've ever had- it's really delicious. Klaus delivered it himself right on time on the day of our wedding and it was beautiful! We had a 3 tier cake which it for about 75 people, the bottom biggest layer we did with yellow cake and a bavarian cream filling with fresh strawberry slices, for the top two layers we did it with chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache filling- everyone agreed it was amazing!

Klaus created a 4-tier cake for our July 2014 wedding. I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he was able to replicate it perfectly. Our cake included red velvet, white cake with Bavarian cream and fresh strawberries, chocolate with ganache, and marble cake. Our guests loved it! My family has been using Heidelberg Pastry Shop for years and will gladly be lifelong customers.

This was the first bakery we went to! No need for others. Prices are very reasonable and the cake is delicious! They can design basically anything you can dream of. I really like that they give a free top tier of your cake on your first anniversary so you don't have to deal with the hassle of freezing it and eating stale cake!!

Heidelberg Bakery made a beautiful cake for my wedding! They customized the cake exactly to my needs, I couldn't have asked for anything else. They were very responsive and schedule a cake tasting, where we tried every flavor of cake they make. The decision on the cake flavors was so hard because all the flavors are amazing! The lemon cake was my favorite, we went with a different type of cake for each tier!

I did the shop no favors by calling them 4 weeks before my wedding and asking if they could make a cake for me (working 10 hours days and planning a wedding...oops forgot the cake)! Luckily my wedding was on a Friday and they weren't booked and Heidelberg happily took my order and made an incredible cake. It was absolutely beautiful. I was also able to rent a lovely cake stand from them last minute as well. I looked through their picture book options and asked to combine two styles of cake into one, and they delivered exactly what we asked for. The fillings were chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and white cake with raspberry filling and it was SOOOOO delicious...and I don't even really like cake! I wish the hotel would have saved the extra cake for us but we were leaving for a mini-moon. But then I found out that Heidelberg will make an anniversary cake for you for free on your first anniversary! How great is that - because the idea of year old frozen cake is less than appetizing to me! No mistakes by booking with them!

They make stunning cakes that are absolutely divine. From here on out I'm ordering all my cakes from them! The best part is they replicate your top layer for your one year so you aren't trying to eat gross thawed cake!

We have been going to Heidelberg pastry shop since I was a little kid. They are my family's and now my husband's go to bakery for graduations, birthdays, holidays, and now weddings!! Our tasting was easy and stress free. We were in and out with the help of their baker and designed the perfect wedding cake thanks to them. The actual cake turned out exactly how we wanted it. Even better-it tasted AMAZING!! Their icing is delicious and their cakes are moist, sweet, but not too sugary. They are honestly the best cakes I have ever had and my guests had to agree! We will continue going to Heidelberg for all of our cakes and we look forward to our one-year wedding anniversary when they give a fresh complimentary replica of your top tier. Yes, that's right, we didn't even need to freeze our cake thanks to this and we were able to indulge that night! Thanks again Heidelberg!

I ordered a cake for 75 people. The cake was three tiers. Klaus was super helpful and incredibly nice. My fiance and I had a cake tasting and their foundant has a wonderful marshmallow taste. We chose buttercream with white cake, bauvarian cream with fresh stawberries as the filler. It tasted like a strawberry shortcake dream times infinity! Everyone at the wedding complimented the cake. I will definitely buy another cake here!

They made the cake I was dreaming about for my wedding. It was beautiful and tasted great. Not super fancy but elegant. They were easy to work with and very competitive pricing.

we provided a design layout for what we were envisioning and it turned out EXACTLY what we were envisioning. exact colors, style, etc. and they were very accommodating for our last minute cake topper. very detail oriented. what takes the cake?? THE CAKE! it was soo good! i've been craving more, but i live too far away to drive there for cake. :( can't wait to go back and get our 1 year anniversary free cake!

From the moment I walked in the shop, there was such a good vibe. I had previously been to a cake place where the lady seemed bipolar. Here, they were so nice and so accommodating. They let me taste everything I wanted and designed the cake exactly like I wanted. They even matched the monogram and design from my invitation to the cake. The cake was delicious!!

Hans and his staff were the best! Super friendly, willing to do anything for thier customers! Our cake was amazingly delish, as was the complimentary first layer they provided on our anniversary! A new layer that looked just like our original cake! I've had other goodies from thier shop as well, just as awesome! We will use Heidelberg again and again for our future special occasions (and for a sweet goody if we're happen to be in the area!)!!!

The cake was incredibly delicious. We tasted cakes from bakeries all over Orange County and Heidelberg was by far the favorite. Their design skills and ease to work with were just the 'icing on the cake'!

They give you samples to taste on your cake tasting coffee etc. The cakes are the MOST REASONABLE in OC. I spent $400 to feed 250 people. They deliver offer a free anniversary cake and are the nicest people around.

one word: DELICIOUS ok two: BEAUTIFUL I am probably one of few people where all the cake was eaten and not enough people were able to get seconds and thirds like they wanted to. He was also very friendly and gave a great presentation while tasting in the beginning and at the reception.
