Leandra, Karla, Jeremy and the rest of the Hilton team was absolutely amazing! From the moment I reached out to them about dates and questions, Leandra & Karla were super responsive. We had our whole wedding weekend of events at their hotel from rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour & reception! We wanted an affordable one stop shop for our guest! The food was great, the outdoor patio was everything my husband and I wanted for our wedding day! The guest were very impressed with the food, drinks, service and hotel staff during their stay! They were flexible with timelines, accommodating and helped us stay within our budget! We HIGHLY recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax for your wedding!
We had an amazing experience working with Leandra, Karla, and the rest of the Hilton staff. We could immediately tell when we first spoke with Leandra that she is very experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about her work. She always communicated and listened extremely well to everything we wanted. She was also very prompt and responsive to any questions we asked. Leandra was also so creative and thoughtful in helping us plan our reception, she went well above and beyond our expectations. When we had to postpone, she was extremely accommodating, flexible, and understanding in helping us navigate our wedding planning through the pandemic, and she was excellent in working with our vendors to make sure no extra fees were incurred. Our guests repeatedly raved about the food, drinks, decor, and all the other services provided by Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax and the entire hotel staff. We 100% recommend Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax to anyone seeking to host a wedding or event. The quality and value of their services cannot be beat!
Unfortunately, we had to recently cancel our reception because of the coronavirus. Hilton Garden Inn was extremely helpful and understanding during this process. We were very impressed by Leandra's professionalism, organization, and responsiveness when we were planning our reception. We would have no hesitation about planning an event with them in the future.
I had an unfortunate experience with the previous venue people that put me in a total panic situation a month before the wedding. I was so devastated by everything that had happened and I called around to see if there were last minute venues available. Hilton Garden Inn happened to be one of the places that was available for some reason. After comparing nearby event venues, we decided that Hilton was at best choice. AND LET ME TELL YOU that was the best decision I made when it comes to our wedding. Within a month of craziness and last-minute planning, Leandra the venue manager did everything in her power to put me at ease and make everything smooth. She was so responsive with both email and phone replies. I am a little bit of an OCD person when it comes to planning anything in my life and Leandra was able to to everything. I really I cannot say it enough how much she put me at ease. The price was affordable and she worked with my budget. If the website price is out of your budget, trust me and contact Leandra. She will work with you to find a good solution. I decided to do the rehearsal dinner at this venue too and she organized my rehearsal dinner also with my budget. Leandra got a list of my vendors and contacted all of them to make sure they were on track and understood how things are going to work on the wedding day. On the wedding day, I did not feel worried at all because Leandra and Jeremy were there. They made sure to all the decorations were in the right place and they had even set up everything the day before to my liking. They really made the venue so beautiful and people complimented so much after the wedding. Jeremy played every role in the wedding, including bartending, decorating, helping guest to the right place, etc. As I look at the wedding photos today, I am once reminded of how much they did for our wedding. My husband and I talked about how choosing Hilton Garden well what's the best choice and I am still so grateful that Leandra was there for everything. Thank you so much Leandra and Jeremy. I recommend this place 100000%. I seriously cannot thank this place enough.
Working with the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax made our wedding planning extremely smooth. Leandra is extremely helpful, and we were so lucky to work with her! The venue itself is beautiful, the food is delicious, the staff is incredible, and it all came together to help us beautifully celebrate our wedding. They set up the room breathtakingly, and they really heard our vision for a gorgeous literary themed wedding. Even though our florist messed up our flower order, they helped us fill in the arrangements and make it look stunning. Afterwards, they cleaned up for us, and it was all consolidated for us to pack up the next morning. We are so happy that we chose the HGIF, and they really did help us make this day feel perfect. We HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking for a less-stressful wedding experience!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax. We could not have asked for a better venue and a better staff to help us throughout the day. From the moment I met Leandra, I knew I had to have my wedding there. She was beyond organized and already had gathered some items for me to review. She was extremely responsive throughout the whole planning process and the day of the wedding everything ran smoothly. If I needed something, they had it to me within 2 minutes. We had a lot of out of town guests and so the location of having a block of rooms right there and having both the ceremony and reception there worked very well for us. I would highly recommend the Hilton for anyone looking for a spot to book their event. Amazing! I cannot say enough good things!
My husband and I had our reception at the Hilton Garden Inn (Fairfax) on June 29 and we could not be more happy with how it turned out. The service was excellent and we even got a fruit tray and a bottle of martinelli sent to our room as a congratulations. Everyone loved the food and the staff set up our reception room exactly as we'd imagined. 5/5! We do not regret celebrating at the HIlton Garden Inn
Our son graduated from George Mason University and we held his dinner / party at this location. The location was perfect in terms of distance from George Mason. I worked closely with Sarah Jordan. I know for a fact that Sarah was planning other functions while she was planning ours but she made me feel like I was the only person on her schedule. She responded quickly to all of my emails and phone calls. Sarah is great at her job, she pays great attention to detail. She was very helpful with the color scheme, set up of the room and lots of other personal touches. The dinner staff was also very professional, pleasant and attentive. I would not hesitate to use this venue again.
I cannot say enough good things about Sarah and her entire team at the Hilton Garden Inn. We had my best friend’s baby shower in the patriot room, and it was such a pleasure working with everyone! They truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs (which included absurd requests like finding a red carpet!). Nothing was too much of a hassle for Sarah. And don’t even get me started on Jeremy! I don’t know what his title is exactly, but he was with us the entire time making sure everything went smoothly. We even saw him adjusting the red carpet a few times, and that is DEFINITELY not a part of his job description! I’m honestly spoiled now, I’m gonna expect this same level of service at every venue! Oh and the food was delicious! Our guests were raving, and the mom-to-be couldn’t stop talking about how well organized everything was! (She actually owns an event management company, so has seen her share of venues). Do not hesistate to book your event here! Sarah and Jeremy will treat your event like their own, and that isn’t something you’ll find easily!
Everyone at The Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax is fantastic. Leandra and her team were amazing to work with from day one. She was always responsive to emails and always made us feel welcomed and excited. She has so much experience with weddings and that made it really easy to trust her. On the wedding day, she was prompt, responsive, and remained super calm even when things got stressful and even recognized when I was in over my head and offered took over the task of creating our place cards for us. I will absolutely miss working with Leandra, but have thoroughly enjoyed the last two months( yes we went from planning to we worked together planning our wedding at the BEAUTIFUL venue of The Fairfax Hilton Garden Inn.
Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax was a great location for our wedding! The food was top notch - not like regular, boring wedding food. They also took great care to make sure the food allergies of our guests were taken care of. The experience felt very custom. The space is really pretty. We were incredibly happy. The event manager paid attention to all of the little details I cared about, took the time to make sure things were right, and just generally made the day go great. The other benefit of that location was the ceremony held on the patio. Definitely recommended!

We held our parents’ 50th Anniversary party at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfax, VA. From our first meeting with the General Manager/Planner we knew wanted to work with her and her staff. We were very concerned about pulling off the party in 5 weeks. However, we were put at ease and convinced it would be perfect. We were treated like we were their only customers. Working with the staff at Hilton Garden Inn was an absolute pleasure. They were accommodating throughout the planning of the party. If you are in need of vendor recommendations for your event, the staff is able to assist. The room looked amazing on that night. A huge “Thank you” to our planner, Leandra, for her hard work; and, to Luis and staff who worked the room the night of the party. We highly recommend this venue for your special occasion or wedding reception.
I held my ceremony and reception in August 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax! This location is a one stop shop. We were able to host our out of town guest overnight guest accommodations at the hotel . Every guest raved on how friendly the hotel and staff were. The breakfast was on the pricey side but it was an all you can eat buffet, so I won't hold that against them.
My ceremony was stress less. I did not have a planner , instead I worked with the GM of the hotel who was helping out in sales. Leandra worked with us around our scheduling conflict, kept us on track for our payments and was all knowing. She acted as our puesdo planner and directed our ceremony and even stayed until our food was served during the reception to ensure that we were taken care of. She really is a true professional.
The banquet team, especially Jeremy were so attentive. You can tell the staff loved working with each other. There was always laughter and jokes when they around which eased tensions times( family drama). I have recommend this hotel to two of my recently engaged friends. Thank you To Leandra and her absolutely wonderful staff!

Excellent experience
My daughter was married on July 1 at the HGI in Fairfax. The ceremony was held in their beautiful courtyard followed by a dinner in their lovely reception hall. We used all the wonderful services provided by the hotel for the this once-in-a- lifetime event and for the rehearsal dinner the night before - delicious appetizers, meals, desserts, linens, table decorations, romantic lighting options and the expertise of the manager, Leandra. Our photographer told us it was one of the best organized weddings he has ever done and my family can take no credit for that. Leandra and her staff kept us on track from the beginning stages of planning to the final cleanup the day after. Every email was promptly answered , every call quickly returned, every meeting efficiently handled and all with kindness, grace and reassurance. Jeremy and Leandra were right there helping with every tiny detail as we put up decorations and arranged all 162 cupcakes in the best possible presentation. When the garland arrived from another vendor and was shedding leaves all over the place, Leandra quickly thought of a place to use it where "shedding" was no issue. The folks at HGI were so flexible and worked with us considering our wishes and our budget. They provided our wedding guests with fabulous service even going out to get a newspaper for one when he simply asked, "Where can I get a morning paper?" A wedding is a glorious happening, but we all know it can be a stressful excitement. Hilton Garden Inn at Fairfax made it all quite manageable and absolutely beautiful and to be honest, it was hard to say good-by to Leandra, Jeremy and all the attentive people we met at HGI.
I have nothing but great to say! Absolutely no complaints whatsoever, from myself, family, or any guests/friends!! I honestly would not have changed a thing about my wedding and I owe everything to Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax and staff, who I now consider family.
We initially signed our contract with Rachel who left the company before our event. As a result we had to go over everything again. We did have issues with finalizing logistics with Ayse the new sales and catering coordinator. She regularly made promises she couldn't keep, tried to change things that were clearly in black and white and was very aggressive went it came trying to tact on additional fees. For example she tried to say that the room we were using for the ceremony could only accommodate 120ppl, but it's listed on the website for 150. After giving her our final count she added numbers for vendors who we already included in our count. We were very thankful for the manager Leandra who stepped in to make sure everything went smoothly and in accordance to the contract we originally signed. Luiz the head of catering was amazing to work with and is a great asset to the hotel.
My wedding reception was fantastic, the staff did a great job, the ballroom set up, food, service, arrangements, all were great, thank you very much to all the staff, specially to Rachel & Leandra.
HGI is hands down amazing. My husband and I planned our wedding in less than two months. I was set on getting married on a very specific day, which left us very little time to plan once we decided to get married. We held our ceremony at our church in centreville and then had the reception at HGI (about 10-15 minute drive apart). Rachel (catering sales manager/wedding coordinator) was our main point of contact throughout the entire process and she was BEYOND amazing. She was quick to respond to all of our questions or concerns and helped us throughout the entire planning process. We ended up going with the Lily wedding buffet package, which is an amazing bang for your buck! HGI even created a beautiful snapchat filter for our more technologically savvy guests that included our names and our wedding date. The staff during our reception went above and beyond for everyone present. Overall, I couldnt imagine having my reception elsewhere. Planning (with Rachel's assistance) was an absolute breeze. Everyone enjoyed the decor, the food, and their overall experience. I would highly recommend HGI for any wedding or special event needs. We definitely wont hesitate to utilize them again in the future if we ever have a need too.
My engagement party was a Cinderella story came true. It was such a beautiful event and I couldn't be happier. The venue was amazing, the outdoor patio made it perfect. The event staff from the set up crew to the bartenders were so kind esp Leandra and Luis! They had a smile on their faces the entire event and I'm sure they were tired. I was pretty demanding but all my wishes were a success. My entire family stayed at the venue and everyone enjoyed themselves, it was very convient to walk down the stairs and be at the hall. Thank you once again for everything!
We celebrated our two daughters's graduation here on June 18th. Based on that experience I would strongly recommend the propert for any event hosting. Their service is without par and in particular Catering Sales Manager Rachel Carpino went above and beyond to make our event very successful. She is easily approachable and was always available for any questions and clarifications and held our hands all the way. Without her and general help and guidance from Leandra James, the business manager our event would not have been a grand success. My special thanks to Rachel and Leandra. When it came to the actual serving of food and clearing the tables without the ever smiling and helpful presence of Jeremy nothing would have fallen in place and he is a phenomenal asset. Since Jeremy was doing slightly more than food related work, his able team consisting of Amado, Avelina, Maribel and Yessenia provided excellent support in clearing the tables during and after the event. If I were to choose this HGI again I would do so in a heart beat. Once again our heart felt thanks to Rachel, Leandra and Jeremy in making everything work. The front desk too was immensely helpful. My daughter by mistake surrendered breakfast coupons meant for 2 days for one day and come second day she had no coupons and was expected to pay. However, Patricia of front desk was kind enough to understand it and not charge us. Nadia of front desk too was helpful when we were checking in. All in all having seen about 10-15 marriages in similar hotels and having been a platinum member with Marriot I must confess the quality of service this Hilton property provided convinced me to sway towards Hilton group.
Amazing Reception!
I very happy that my husband and I chose the Hilton Garden Inn - Fairfax as our reception venue. We selected this venue because my family was coming from out of town and our ceremony venue, Vienna Presbyterian Church, was only a 15 minute drive away. We also chose the Hilton Garden Inn because all of the food / beverages, tables / chairs, silverware, candles / center pieces, & linens are provided by them. I wanted to work with the least amount of vendors and rental companies as possible, and this definitely helped!
On the day of the reception, the room met and exceeded my expectations. The décor and up-lighting came together perfectly. The waiters / waitresses provided tremendous service. The photographer was able to take photo in multiple places outside, which all came out great!
Rachel, the catering sales manager, worked with us with planning the reception. From food tasting and meal selections, to creating center pieces, seating charts, and event timelines, Rachel helped us with planning the reception from the first moment to the very end. I will always remember and value her responsiveness, professionalism, and positivity.
This venue was amazing. It is a beautiful hotel with a very perfect outdoor area for an outdoors ceremony. The event staff are super helpful and caring. Rachel, the catering sales manager, is absolutely amazing. It is obvious she LOVES her job and has a true passion for helping to make your wedding day a complete success. I have dietary concerns and she was more than willing to help make changes to the menu so that I would be able to enjoy the dinner as well! Also, we wanted a special tequila for our best man toast and Rachel made it so seamless and made sure we had what we wanted on our special day. She made herself available to answer questions and provide help in any way she could at all hours. I felt comfortable calling her from a craft store one night at 7 pm and since she was still in the office she answered the call and was happy to help me right then and there so I made the correct purchase that day. Rachel is so sweet and amazing, as is the entire staff! I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat to everyone!
We had our wedding on May 31st in the large ballroom. We were totally blown away with how beautiful everything came out on the day, and how easy the hotel staff made it all go down. Lizzy and Grace are the most amazing coordinators to work with. We mostly had the pleasure of working with Lizzy. She was so sweet and always went above and beyond with every idea we had. She also kept our budget in mind, and actually saved us money wherever possible. We almost want to have another wedding just so we can have more of her time. In all seriousness, it's really hard to find honest, down-to-earth people in this business because of all the superficial nonsense around it. I never expected to have my dream wedding for well under budget, and end up being friends with the professionals who made it happen. The venue itself is great too! They have the gorgeous garden of course, but Lizzy told us about this great trail right across the street. This made for some INCREDIBLE pictures, and our photographer had a blast trying different things there. We love the variety of pics that came out of the different settings available. You get the classy indoor shots with all the decor, the bright and colorful garden shots, and the rustic, more emotional trail shots.The food was OUTSTANDING, and even our most picky guests had nothing but compliments for the chef. Thank you so much for the most memorable day of my life!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfax, VA and we could not be happier. The place is absolutely gorgeous and very elegant with a beautiful and colorful garden for lovely wedding pictures. I have worked with Lizzy, the catering sales manager, and she was a delightful to work with, she was professional and able to answer every single question I had in no time. With her help, I was able to prepare the wedding of my dreams in less than 4 weeks!
In terms of service and food, the waitstaff was attentive and accommodating all night long. They were very professional and able to take last minute requests with a cheerful smile. The food was absolutely delicious; I got so many compliments on the food all night long.
Overall, we are very pleased with the Hilton Garden inn in Fairfax, VA and will definitely recommend it to all of our friends who want an absolutely beautiful wedding.
The Fairfax Hilton Garden Inn was a great location to have both our ceremony and reception. With having out of town guests it was convenient to have them stay at the hotel and take the elevator to the wedding. The group rates for the rooms were great; we were also not responsible for any rooms not booked. It felt like we had a wedding planner without paying extra for one. We had a coordinator leading up to the wedding day and a different catering manager that handled all of the details for the reception. The decor was elegant and we could add as much or as little as we wanted.
We started working with the HGI Fairfax for two year prior to our Vow Renewal. As soon as we met Virginia Perry, we knew we were in great hands. Before we have the opportunity to have the event, Ms. Perry left but she left us in the good hands of Un Lee. She step right in and was wonderful. She provided a level of expertise to help throughout the planning process. Another helping hand was Jeremy, he was with us from the start until the end of our party. He was awesome and really made sure we were taken care of and had a fantastic time. The compliments were overwhelming from our guest on the food, the space, and the phenomenal jobs of the staff. I can't say enough great things about this venue. Un Lee’s attention to detail ensured the event went smoothly and they far exceeded our expectations.
Wedding Date: August 23, 2014
We held our ceremony and reception here in January, and it was probably the easiest, best wedding planning decision we made. The majority of our guests were from out of town, so we wanted everything to be in one place for them: accommodations, ceremony, reception, and after party. Virginia Perry took care of everything for us and was a main factor on why we decided to go with them. Having her with us every step of the way helped ease our minds, so much so that we decided not to hire a day-of coordinator, and did not regret that decision. Everyone at the hotel was very nice, accommodating, and professional. Our food was delicious and my only regret is that I didn't go up for a second plate. Our guests are still telling us to this day how much fun they had, how good the food was, and how nice the rooms were. The hotel recently underwent some renovations so all the rooms have new carpeting and new K-cup coffee machines, and the hotel lobby has new decorations and a new layout. We hope to have the opportunity to work with Virginia again!
We needed a place to host both the ceremony and reception since the majority of guests were coming from out of town. This venue proved amazing given its close location to 2 major airports. Also, there was the option to have the ceremony in the garden or if inclement weather, in a smaller ballroom. The food (buffet style) was excellent. The Catering/Sales Manager Virginia went above and beyond to ensure all the little details were addressed and was like having a personalized wedding consultant. Extra rooms were added to our specialized block as the need arose. All staff at this hotel was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this venue.
We were very pleased with our experience at the Hilton. Virginia Perry, the wedding coordinator, was a huge help! I didn't have a wedding planner, so it was great knowing that Virginia was overseeing the reception, making sure that everything went as planned. The staff couldn't have been nicer and attended to our every need. The food was excellent. The reception was perfect, and I didn't have to worry about anything! Going with the Hilton was worth every penny, and is reasonably priced for what you get in return.
Loved Luis. Happy in the end with everything that happened since everyone seemed happy without knowing all details bride had to deal with/things that went sadly very wrong. Just highly suggest keeping your own notes on everything, all emails etc. Very helpful.
The person who should get the most kudos is Virginia, the onsite catering manager. She is incredibly patient, energetic, and organized. Didn't even need to use a wedding planner because she had us covered. Wonderful staff and great troubleshooting all-around. Guests said the food was wonderful and very filling. Thank you to HGI for making our wedding wonderful!
Catherine is the most patient, helpful person on the planet, the gardens are stunning, and people are still talking about the food 4 months later. The "little extras" they threw in for my husband and I were a sweet touch too. What a great site for a reception!
The Hilton Garden Inn was fantastic! The number one reason they were so great to work with was Catherine! She was a wonderful resource as well as supportive and organized. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel and we recieved several complements at choosing such a nice hotel for our guests. It was a great deal for the rooms and the hotel was very upfront about their pricing. Many venues have hidden charges (such as cake cutting), but the price they gave us was the price they charged with no hidden fees. GREAT!
When we first visited Hilton Garden Inn, we knew it was the right place for our wedding ceremony and reception. We met with Catherine Calvin, the events specialist there. She gave us a detailed tour of the facility and information on wedding packages. We loved the outside courtyard for the ceremony, and we liked the variety of sizes of reception rooms. Some venues we went to only had huge rooms, and with a wedding of our small size, we needed a cozy place. We were also impressed with the hotel rooms for we had a lot of out-of-towners coming to the wedding. From the moment we signed the contract up to the last minute of our reception, Hilton Garden Inn was on top of things. Every detail was planned out ahead of time prior to the wedding day. Any time I had a question, it was answered promptly. The guests that stayed at Hilton Garden Inn from out of town commented on how friendly everyone was at the hotel and how nice and clean the rooms were. The wedding ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Hilton Garden Inn was a perfect venue for us, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for lovely place for their wedding and reception!

Catherine, Julio, and the rest of the HGI team did an excellent job in meeting my every request. The garden patio was a beautiful setting for the ceremony. It made it so easy for out of town guests that ceremony, reception, and accomodations were in one place. The well experienced staff allowed me not to worry about all the little details.
Excellent service! The staff if very friendly and detail oriented. The event coordinator, Catherine Calvin, was very patient and helpfull. She gave us very usefull suggestions that made our special day run smooth and perfect. The facilities are great. The garden is well maintained with flowers that embelish the area. For our recepteion we used the decoration provided by the hotel which was enough to create a beautiful and charmin atmosphere. The food is good. The cost is reasonable. We don't have any complaints. In general, this is a great place to celebrate a wedding in the Washington, DC area. Special thanks to Mike, Cervando, Luis and Patricia!!!
