We used this hotel for our wedding room block for our guests. It was the perfect location from our venue, and the price point was great. They had fantastic customer service for my guests, and they were so accommodating and easy to work with. My point person changed in the months leading up to the wedding, but Elise was fantastic and super responsive. They also offered to keep the hotel bar open a couple extra hours post-wedding at no extra cost!
The Hilton was the PERFECT place for our wedding room block. Jessica was just fabulous and so helpful from the start. She helped us with coordinating the buses, gift bags and keeping the bar open after our reception. The lobby space at the Hilton is perfect. The morning after our wedding we had breakfast there and were able to say goodbye to all of our guests as they headed out. Highly recommend this hotel for any weddings in the Plymouth area!
The Hilton was a wonderful host for all of our friends and family for our wedding weekend. We were getting married in Plymouth and The Hilton provided us with wonderful service and lots of rooms for everyone traveling from out of town. They were very accommodating and even brought breakfast up to me on the morning of my wedding.
Jessica has been helpful and honest from the beginning. She warned that rooms could not be blocked off, as it is first come first served. She also warned corporate (not the actual location) could turn on a 2 night minimum so inform guests early.
She also said the bar could stay open a little later for an after party. There is also no fee for the front desk to hand out welcome bags during check in.
We did have a snafu when 2 night minimum got turned on, but I called Jessica to bring it to her attention and it was resolved and explained immediately. I highly recommend working with her.
Update for after the wedding: The staff was amazing. They even signed for food that was delivered for the after party before we arrived back and had it setup. They even had a sign in lobby listing our shuttle pick up time for the guest. As a bride, I would not recommend reserving the Accessible room as it is larger to get ready in, as it is near the elevators which kept me up with all the guests from some Friday night weddings.
Jessica was our contact for the rooms we blocked. We used this hotel because of it's location in relation to the venue and is one of the venue's recommended vendors. She was great to work with and even recommended The Candy Jar as a florist - who I ended up using!
I had family coming into town a few days prior to the wedding and they received the blocked rate for all of the nights they were there. Even though we had toured the rooms, neither of us noticed that each room had a refrigerator and microwave which was a nice surprise.
My bridesmaids and I had use of a meeting room downstairs for hair and makeup. We used the newly renovated lobby for our first look and some pictures prior to heading to the venue.
A shuttle sign up was provided to our guests to assist in coordination of transportation.
After the wedding we were able to hang out in the lobby and take over the hotel bar.
Our only complaint was that the welcome bags we had provided for the guests didn't seem to all get handed out. We left the day after the wedding with more leftover than we had planned for.
Anyone getting married in the Kingston or Plymouth are should consider using this hotel and definitely give Jessica a call.
We used this hotel to accommodate our wedding guests so they would be able to stay close to our wedding venue and hopefully not need to worry about travel. Everyone at the hotel was excellent to work with and the rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. They were flexible when we asked to move a couple of rooms to put the bridal party closer to each other and have connecting rooms to make getting ready the day of the wedding easier. As well we held an after party in the downstairs bar area and they were again very flexible and open to us. Finally we also used their event room to host a luncheon the day after the wedding. They provided different local restaurants to use to cater the meal and when I underestimated numbers of people, they quickly opened the room up to give us more space. Jessica was the main person we worked with and she was very helpful, professional and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them should you need a hotel in the area. Thank you Jessica and Hilton for helping to make our wedding weekend amazing!
I booked a room block at the HGI in Plymouth for my wedding guests in September 2015. The sales coordinator was able to work with us, to give us a larger room block than normal because we had so many out-of-town guests. I really liked that they waived the two-night minimum stay for our guests, as many other hotels in the area would not. And they offered to keep the hotel bar stayed open late for us after the wedding, which made for a convenient after party location. At times, it was a bit difficult to get in touch with the sales coordinator, when I had a question or wanted to add more rooms to the block. But in the end, it worked out and most of our guests were able to stay at the hotel.
Working with Jessica was so easy and pleasant. We booked our hotel early on and I checked frequently on the capacity to make sure people would be able to get a room in the hotel we were staying in after the wedding. The pick up/drop off with our selected transportation was great. A shout out to Randy at the front desk who made a lot of my guests checking in enjoyable as well!
My room was so clean and large enough to have my large wedding party in the room with a hairdresser and make up artist!
I originally called and did a room block for 20 rooms 9 months in advance. I was told by the hotel that they have a bar that my guest would be able to go to after the reception as the reception ended at 9:00 PM. They do not have transportation and I had to pay $500 for school buses to transport my guest less than a mile down the road and back. I had 63 guest staying at this hotel and all were unpleased with their stay. When I arrived at the hotel I was extremely upset as I saw the bar was not a bar at all and more like a side station that was smaller than my cubical at work. Their beers were extremely pricy and my guest were told they would not be able to hang out down there as there was too many of them. When I arrived I checked in and then noticed two cop cars had pulled up. I asked the front desk if there was an issue with my wedding party and I was told no. But the issue was with my wedding party as the woman at the front desk called the cops because too many of my guest were down at the bar and in the lobby area cause there was not enough room. The cops were aggravated that she even called them when they could have been called to more serious issues. All of my guest were then told to go to their rooms which we did and we continued to get yelled at by security because other guest complained about the noise. I booked these rooms far in advance and they should not have had 63 people spread out throughout the hotel and other guest rooms were in between my guest rooms. They should have put all of my guest together so their other guest could have enjoyed their stay. I will NEVER go back to this hotel and would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Extremely unprofessional and rude. They also charged some of my guest the wrong rates and not the discounted rates that they should have been charged. I will be calling the general manager to complain and ask for my money back.
