Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East/Brandon

We were extremely disappointed with this hotel, which we had chosen for all of our guests to book rooms, due to the vicinity of our venue. We booked a suite over a year prior to our wedding. Mere weeks before the wedding, we get emailed (not even called) to let us know that "the room you requested is not available." We didn't request it, we booked it. Now, I know that they stood to make a lot of money from the client who wanted to book the room for three months solid. I get that. But to email me and offer a lesser room and to comp one night (which was the cheapest rated night anyway) was simply unacceptable. After days of fighting with them, we ended up with our room back. We didn't have to pay for the room either, which was nice. However, it cause two weeks of stress for us. Had we been less than a month out from the wedding, we would have switched hotels. In the end, things worked out, but beware. Get everything in writing. Hopefully, I fought the fight for the other 5 couples that they also kicked out of their rooms. I hope those 5 couples were taken care of without weeks of stress.
