Stayed here during a recent business trip in the area .
Chose the hotel due to its proximity to the Long Beach airport as its only a few short minutes away .
Room was clean and hotel was kept well maintained . The unique building structure ha...
s rooms on higher floors than the typical holiday inn , and gives a nice view of the surrounding areas . Room was quiet and the ac unit worked very well
There is parking on the premises and easy to find a spot and it is also free . Another plus as other holiday inn locations charge for parking
It is a way from down town Long Beach and so there was Not allot in the area . A very good restaurant few minutes by car is a small Greek restaurant that serves amazing food
I will be back to this hotel next time I’m in the area

Nice hotel near Long Beach Airport. Spacious rooms and bathrooms and clean, this was adequate for our 2 night stay. The hotel cleaning staff a bit noisy at 6am in the mornings, but I am an early riser, so was not awakened by them. Love the desi...
gn layout of the rooms. Nice, but pricey, restaurant at the top of the building to enjoy a quiet evening dining on the premises. A few close by fast food restaurants to choose from, if your budget is restricted.

At the time of my stay there, this hotel had one out of two elevators working. There are no microwaves in the rooms. So if
you need one it's located in the hotel lobby. Also reservation
personnel is scarce. If you need assistance otherwise, ...
pray that
somebody will answer your call. There was only one manager
in charge of two hotels on the same property.
The phone and alarm clock were out of order.
No freebies here. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
products are bolted to the wall in their respective areas. If you take a bath you would need to dispense product(s) from the
shower height station where they are affixed on the back wall.
No hotel literature of any kind was available in the room.
The seafood chowder, PLEASE!!! If you finish it consider yourself
a brave soul.
After checking out I wanted a cup of coffee while waiting for my
ride. Since the lobby did not have a traditional lounge or snack
area in its lobby. The manager recommended that I go across the street to a Starbucks. Better still I wound up at the Chevron
gas station. I only wish I had known about the gas station before
I had that seafood concoction for dinner for dinner. I could have
saved myself $40.00 for the meal.

Room invasion in the middle of the night by employee
During my stay at a Holiday Inn in Long Beach, CA a hotel employee walked in my (locked) room in the middle of the night. No knock, just walked in. Started me out of a dead sleep. They saw m...
e jump out of my bed and immediately ran out of the room. After the adrenaline rush I didn't really go back to sleep. (work was a joy the next day) In the morning I asked why. Front desk said it was to "check to see if someone was in the room".
Here is what IHG had to say when I contacted them:
"I hope you're safe and well. I am ******from IHG Guest Relations. It's a pleasure to assist you.
I sincerely apologize for the experience you encountered during your recent stay at the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport. Please know that incidents of this nature are taken very seriously by our team, and we have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
Don't worry, I have personally contacted the hotel and spoken with ********, the Front Desk Staff. She has provided insight into the issue, acknowledging that there was a failure on the part of the PM shift staff to properly fulfill their duties, resulting in your room being incorrectly marked as vacant in their system. ******** has extended her apologies and, as a compensation, she is offering you a complimentary breakfast. To redeem this offer, simply approach the front desk."
"incidents of this nature are taken very seriously by our team" Nothing says we are serious like a complimentary breakfast. /s
(follow up with the hotel and IHG yielded a lack of any real acknowledgment of the seriousness of the incident and was finally offered 25000 pts with the comment “that’s the best we can do” which isn’t the point at all. Besides, 25000 points is what I have been offered when the hot water was off or valet parking was full. It’s insulting and eye opening that they couldn’t care less.)
Follow up. IHG said they support the hotels manager in their compensation decision. Be aware that there are some serious issues at this property. I didn't go into it in my review but the room itself was poorly cleaned and maintained with 2 light fixtures, window blinds and AC controls on the wall that didn't work. If you stay here after reading this review then at least you know what your getting.

THEY STOLE MY SWITCH, MY CASE AND THE GAMES IN MY CASE!!! They took advantage of the fact I was flying today and they stole my Nintendo.
They have a 5:30 am shuttle advertised. Not true.
They schedule for a 6am shuttle but the driver isn’t sche...
duled to come in until 6am and is known to always be late. The words of the night auditor and the person over the radio. If they would have had what they advertised they did, I would not have had my switch stolen from me.
I am devastated that they stole from me!
Reading the other reviews, this place is not an honest one.
Kai said that their owners are based out of South Korea, makes me wonder if this is the reason Kai, the senior manager there and representative of the ownership company hires people who would steal from their guest, and schedules poorly.
It’s devastating that I spent many years being a General Manager at a Holiday Inn express and this is what other properties represent the brand like.
Any manager and company that allows people to steal from their guest like this should not be representing a franchise.
Kai, you should be ashamed of the way you manage that property. The bad starts from the top! As you said, you are the most senior manager there, what sort of culture have you created that your team is comfortable to steal from guests!!!
