Freedom hosts up to 200 for a ceremony, 100 seated, or 220 for a reception. Furthermore, the Sky Room, attached to the iconic rooftop bar VUE, is available for dinners of up to 50 or receptions of up to 120. I can not recommend Mariah and Hotel Washington enough. We looked at multiple venues and hotels before Hotel Washington and walked away from our tour knowing that this is where we wanted to get married. Of course the hotel itself is stunning with some of the best views of the city, but the staff, food and drinks is what really makes this a special place. As a career event planner, I was looking for flexibility, great food and even better communication. Hotel Washington excited our expectations in every category. From customizing our signature drinks with items that had to be ordered specially to helping create a special and meaningful dessert station when we did not want to have the included cake, we were able to truly make the wedding unique to us. Our guests raved about the food, drinks, staff and rooms. Every staff member from front desk to valet and banquet staff knew our names by the end of the weekend and bent over backwards to help with anything they could. I highly recommend this iconic hotel if you are looking for the best DC wedding location.

We had our wedding at Hotel Washington in May 2024 and it was the best decision we made! After reviewing a few other hotels downtown, we loved that Hotel Washington offered three separate spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Also, the views from the Sky Room CANNOT be beat and that was a huge draw for our out of town (and even local) guests. The day went off without a hitch and all of the staff, especially Mariah and Doug, were great to work with! After the wedding, we heard so many amazing reviews from our guests about the food served during cocktail hour and the reception! Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience!

We held my daughters wedding at Hotel Washington on 10/21/23. The setting is total perfection. Our out of town guests marveled at the opportunity to walk outside and easily wander the National Mall, the White House, etc. They loved being overnight guests at the hotel. Truly, all staff, from checkin through departure, couldn’t have been nicer. The venue is simply exquisite. We used the Vue for cocktails, the views were knockout. The ballroom, exquisite. Catering staff were totally responsive to our needs and desires, food was truly delicious and options plentiful - both cocktail hour and dinner. Tremendous recommendations, prompt feedback and professionalism from our event manager Stephanie Kennedy, not to mention her warmth and kindness. The entire weekend event took place in this hotel. Not only is it beautiful, but it made for total ease and enjoyment for our guests. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending this venue and all of our guests fully agree. We had our reception at Hotel Washington and we are so glad that we did! Stephanie, the hotel's Director of Social Catering, was so helpful all throughout the planning process, and so patient with all of our questions! The hotel was able to accommodate all of our requests and the set up of our reception was absolutely beautiful! The entire Hotel Washington team was so welcoming and helpful throughout all of our planning and the wedding weekend itself. We felt that all of our guests were well taken care of, and everyone really enjoyed the food! We highly recommend Hotel Washington!

Stephanie was so easy to work with and made planning enjoyable. We'd recommend Hotel Washington to anyone who wants to capture the essence of DC without having to hop between different areas of the city.

Hotel Washington and ALL of their staff are a dream come true! Our wedding was magical and the location set the tone. We are locals and have always known that this is the best view in town. However, add a wedding and its even more than that. Ellen, Stephanie and their team are beyond amazing. Not to mention, the valet staff are like family now and Sophia and her team made our room block and groom's suite seamless. My guests were blown away not just at the view but the food, the service, the friendly staff. Our wedding literally took up the entire hotel lobby at one point and the staff were friendly and welcoming. When we did our walkthrough some tweaks were made and Stephanie always made it happen. I would pick this spot 100x over! If price is a concern its the most reasonable in the DMV. Trust me on that!! Stephanie - you had a direct hand in curating our magical day. We will forever be grateful!

Hotel Washington was far and away the best wedding venue we could have imagined. Hotel Washington's wedding package was a value for the extraordinary quality of location, service, and food. Our stay at Hotel Washington felt luxurious--everyone made us feel special and taken care of. A few hours before the wedding, my manicure on my left hand got messed up and the hotel spa came to my rescue! The amazing staff ran to my aid, helping me layer different polish colors to match the rest of my manicure. The hotel worked also with us to get a great rate for our guests. We could not recommend Hotel Washington for your event more!

Our experience with Hotel Washington was fantastic! When my husband and I started the early stages of wedding planning, we knew our guest list was going to be fairly large. As we started visiting DC venues, we quickly learned that many were going to be too small for us. It was important to us to have our wedding in DC. We finally visited Hotel Washington and it checked all the boxes for us (beautiful, unique to DC, and accommodates our guest list).
A few months after signing the contract, there was some transitioning of staff which led to some lags in communication. After the new staff joined, everything was smooth and great! E-mails were responded to quickly and the staff was all so helpful leading up to the event and day of. I want to specifically mention Ellen and Daniel. They catered to our every need and made sure my husband and I were happy! As soon as the ceremony ended, Ellen gave my husband and I each our signature drinks. At the cocktail hour, the staff put a plate of appetizers together for me to make sure I'd eat. For the reception, Ellen was able to add High Noons to the bar list. Those little details made our wedding day even more special. I highly recommend Hotel Washington to anyone considering this venue!!

Had our wedding at Hotel Washington June 11 2022 and it was FANTASTIC! It's a perfect venue with so many WOW factors--incredibly views and so many places for guests to hang out. We hosted cocktails the evening before the wedding in the lobby, had ceremony and cocktail hour on the top floor with the reception in the bottom floor - so we really maximized the whole hotel! Guests are still raving about the food. Our point of contact, Luis, made us feel at ease throughout the whole experience. The whole experience was a dream. Can't wait to go back to the hotel for our future anniversary celebrations. This location is a total dream.
