I got married Jan 6th 2018 on the coldest day of the year! Following few days it was 50*, go figure. Anyway, I had an enormous amount of people from out of town attending our wedding, we live locally and the Hyatt in Morristown offered a room rate block for 2 nights! Typically I find hotels offer night of the wedding, but they were able to provide that rate for fri before the wedding as well! This was amazing for my guests who were staying a few days. Not to mention Morristown has alot to offer out of town guests and public transportation to NYC! I worked with Sarah and Karina and they were both LOVELY! Always accessible and always kept in touch. I had my room block fill up 3 times and asked for extensions each time. They were even accommodating when the dead line was over to help me find rooms for family and friends who procrastinated! I made gift bags for guests as they checked in (which was a hit)...the downstairs bar was a great place for us all to meet up in between events and breakfast the next morning was a nice way to end our wedding weekend! We did not do a sit down, we just paid as people woke up and came down that way people who wanted to be on their way could leave. Karina made the days leading up to my wedding stress free and kept me in the loop with check ins. Based on the amount of people who booked rooms I was able to snag a COMPLIMENTARY shuttle service to and from our wedding venue which was a HUGE plus! They also offer the bride and groom a complimentary studio suite night of the wedding with a bottle of champagne. Everything was great and most of all EASY!
We had our room block at the Hyatt, and while everything came out fine in the end, we were extremely unhappy with the process. All began well when we were still considering holding our reception there, but once we chose to have our reception elsewhere, the customer service all but stopped. We were passed between three different people, and there were many hidden exceptions to our room block that no one explained. Any guest who wished to use gold points to book a room couldn't be counted toward our block (or ride the shuttle). Likewise for parents who were eligible for a reduced price adjoining room for their kids, and seniors who qualified for a rate that was less than our block rate. We also had two guests need to cancel just a few days before the wedding, which dropped us below the required number of rooms for the complementary shuttle, so they wanted to revoke that privilege just three days before the wedding. They also wanted to charge us a ridiculous fee to have the shuttle bring the wedding party (all paying guests at the hotel) to the reception venue before the other guests (a 1.8 mile drive from the hotel). Every time we challenged them, we were made to feel as if we were the unreasonable ones, and when they did eventually make a few exceptions to their ridiculous (and not clearly outlined) rules, they made it out to be a HUGE favor, instead of good customer service. For the prices our guests paid, I expected much better. If you don't have 200+ guests coming to your wedding (and needing a room), don't expect them to bother with you.
We selected the Hyatt for our wedding room block and it turned out to be a great decision. The team at the Hyatt - especially Daniel - were pleasant to work with, very accommodating and super helpful. There were absolutely no issues for us or any of our guests - from check in and out to the rooms themselves and the transportation to and from the venue that they provided for our guests. The suite my husband and I had (we upgraded to a larger suite than was included in our package - junior I believe) was beautiful and well appointed. Overall, everything was very smooth and I would recommend them highly!
Carla Angel is absolutely amazing to work with! Throughout the whole process she was super easy to get in touch with and so helpful! Good was amazing!!My husband had asked if we could have burgers brought in as a late night snack and Carla actually went out and got White Castle burgers for us! Everyone was blown away by that!!
The customer Service I got from start to finish was the best I ever encountered. My questions were answered super fast and everything about this experience was easy. Christine Lonegan was a pleasure to work with she set up my website for people to book the room, sent me inserts for my invitations in record time, and provided regular updates on our room block. We first met with Joanna to tour the hotel and she had the valet ready and waiting to hold my car as we toured the facility and what a facility it is. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The lobby is gorgeous, the bar was tons of fun and as with everything at the hotel the service was amazing. We also booked a Sunday Morning Brunch for the day after and Javier Labrada of the restaurant staff was just as helpful as Christine and he answered even more questions for me and set up a wonderful brunch and the food was excellent. All my guests that stayed raved about the hotel and breakfast. I also have to mention a few days before the wedding I stopped by the hotel to drop off the welcome bags I had made and they staff all helped carry them in from my car and were super friendly. My parents loved the hotel so much they are thinking they should trying to make a vacation out of a trip to Morristown just to stay there again :) Truly a wonderful hotel and absolutely no complaints!
Our wedding room block was at the Hyatt and this is the only wedding vendor that I don't have any complaints on. Some of us actually got stuck in an elevator for 20 minutes the night before the wedding and the fire department came to help us climb up a ladder. Even with that, I still have nothing truly negative to say! The Hyatt more than made up for it by giving those involved their room for free, putting wine and snacks in the room, giving us a pile of drink vouchers at our wedding after-party, ETC.
After looking at 2 other hotels in the area, the Hyatt offered the best rate which included round trip shuttle transportation to The Park Savoy. The hotel was very important to us since we had an afternoon wedding and knew a lot of people would be at the hotel to continue the party right after the wedding into the late-night hours. We loved the modern vibe the hotel lobby and bar had which far surpassed the bar areas of the other hotels. A lot of our guests came in the night before and were able to walk to restaurants and bars in Morristown instead of being stuck in the hotel. The bar area was very open with a variety of seating. I initially dealt with Joanna and Christine from the start and they were so friendly and responsive. They provided accommodation cards for us to include in our invites and also set up a personalized wedding website (including photos and preferred colors) to keep track of who had booked rooms so we could follow up with those who still needed to book their rooms. They were also flexible with adding people to our room block even though they booked after the deadline. We had a beautiful suite which we unfortunately didn’t spend much time in. The only negative I should mention before we booked this hotel was that drink prices are VERY expensive ($11 for a glass of wine) but they were flexible in offering us happy hour rates for a period of time during our after party. I highly recommend this hotel for those getting married in the Morristown area!
The Hyatt was a pleasure to work with through the entire process. We started working with them about a year ahead of time because we knew we would need at least 40 rooms. Everyone was really easy to communicate with and Christine made sure that all of our needs were met. The shuttles to and from the venue were perfect. Also, I really loved that I had a personalized website to monitor the bookings as they came in- it made it easy to keep track of who would be staying with the room block. The rooms were lower priced compared to other hotels in the area and they included the shuttle in the room rate. Our guests were really pleased with the quality of the rooms and the amenities offered. The Hyatt is in a great Morristown location and our out of town guests loved exploring the town prior to the wedding. It was definitely a great choice!
I did not have my actual wedding at the Hyatt, but it was our preferred hotel for our wedding at Lake Valhalla Club.
From start to finish the folks at the Hyatt (Christine & Joanna especially!) were so wonderful to work with! They were very quick with responses to my emails, and were helpful with every last detail. The website that they set up enabled me to keep track of which of our guests had made hotel reservations so that we could make sure that no one forgot. Even when it was past the deadline for our guests to book under our group rate, they still helped acommodate some of our last-minute guests.
They even helped us transport and distribute over 100 welcome bags for our guests the day we arrived.
In addition to the wonderful staff, the rate at which our guests were able to book was unbelievably cheap! The hotel itself is beautiful and has nice clean, modern rooms and a HUGE gym.
I have absolutely no complaints about the Hyatt, they were fantastic!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience at Hyatt Morristown. Our wedding was almost a year ago and our guest are still commenting about the quality of the food and the service. The staff was attentive to our needs and the needs of our guest. Everything was perfect!
Hyatt Hotel in Morristown was so accomodating and wonderful with all of my guests for my wedding. The staff was so curteous and helpful. The rooms were updated, clean, and the property is in a great location.
The Hyatt Morristown was a fantastic choice for our out of town guest accommodations. The hotel itself is lovely, has amazing facilities and is right in the middle of downtown Morristown, with tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance. They offer a great wedding rate for a hotel of this caliber, which includes shuttles to and from our wedding venue. Joanna and Christine were wonderful to work with, very accommodating and flexible.
My overall experience Wasn't super great but wasn't horrible either. The actually day went really well and everything came out great. They really give u a lot for your money, my only negative is they wouldn't give me time in between my ceremony and cocktail hour to take pictures, so I missed all my cocktail hour cause they didnt want people hanging out in the lobby. The other was is they were to quick to clean stuff up, a lot of guests complained they didn't get to finish drinks or there food and even dessert. If u weren't sitting down it was gone when u came back. They also had everything cleaned up 10 mins before my event ended Which caused people to leave early thinking the night was over right after the cake. There wasn't any wedding after us that they would have needed to clean up for. My guest favors also got thrown out before they had a chance to get back to their tables and pick them up. Inside of giving the extras back to me they just threw the, away. I'm not sure whether I would recommend this place to someone, my only thing I can say is if you decide on this place ( which was really pretty) just make sure you are on top of everything before during and after the night.
We held our Civil Union ceremony and reception at the Hyatt. We were so happy with the amazing service & help they provided throughout the planning stages - very accommodating! The day of was even more than I expected! Such a gorgeous, modern venue. The staff was beyond helpful, and they were all so nice! Monica was a joy to work with. We wouldn't change anything if we had to do it again.
We had our reception at the Hyatt at Morristown and we were very pleased overall. The wait staff and bartenders were friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. The room was set up beautifully, exactly as planned. The food was wonderful and the drinks were plentiful! My catering manager Monica was infintely patient with my many emails and questions and helped me with every aspect of planning - I could not have asked for more.
We had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt Morristown! They were MORE than accommodating and helpful. Everyone involved went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and was perfect for the day of my wedding! The atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic and the service was wonderful! Could not ask for more!
The Hyatt held our wedding this past July and they were truly wonderful!! From the moment we booked with them, they answered every question and helped us through everything. The day was organized, professional, fun, beautiful and the food was amazing! My guests are still talking about the service that night and how wonderful everything looked. The staff waited on my guests and I as if we were the only ones there...Everyone is so friendly...even the valet remembered me and the day 4 weeks later!! Go check them out...you won't be sorry!
The Hyatt hotel/specialty-event planning/catering staff treated us, our families and our friends – like royalty! The Hyatt is a beautifully run hotel. Spotless, modern, with every amenity and all who work there are extremely customer-oriented, and do their job pleasantly and efficiently.
Every detail was considered and attended to, the room was beautiful, and the food was served to perfection and every bite delicious.
We could not have been happier with our entire experience at the Hyatt Hotel in Morristown, we are very happy to provide high praise to Monica and the entire staff.
The Hyatt in Morristown was a wonderful and beautiful venue for our wedding of 200 people. Monica Boswell (catering director) went above and beyond any of my expectations. She would immediately answer any of my questions or concerns immediately and i never doubted that the day would be any less than perfect. The day was incredible and I know that the Hyatt was the reason for that. The entire staff works exceptionally well together. I would recommend the Hyatt Morristown to anyone getting married or having an event. They were spectacular!
The Hyatt is terrific! Monica and John were great throughout all stages of the planning process, and the day itself couldn't have gone more smoothly. The cocktail hour is down in the Qube bar area (which gets partitioned off) and looks terrific. The reception is upstairs in the ballroom, and we love the photos of our guests all coming up the stairs. We've received a ton of compliments on the food, and the chef during the tasting couldn't have been more accomodating to changing things around to make the menu perfect for us. The cocktail hour food was also terrific, and was served by staff that couldn't have been more polite to our guests. I highly recommend the Hyatt, both for the staff, food, and ease of access for our guests! It worked perfectly!
The lobby was so beautiful and the food was out of this world.;The staff that helped served our guests was not very friendly and there were some mistakes.
The staff went out of their way to make our day perfect. That even included driving a groomsman home to get a video camera when our videographer had issues with his camera. The site is beautiful and the food was great. I'm still receiving compliments 2 months later. Carla Angel and John DiLorenzo really made our day as perfect as possible.
