We had an incredible wedding reception here in the Royal Palm room! We had a small group, about 50-60 guests total. Dean, our Event Coordinator, did so much to make sure our day was perfect, down to requesting our breakfast be delivered to our room at the time we chose. He made sure everything in the room was set up how I wanted and helped us with finishing touches on the decor. The catering (provided in house by Chicanes Restaurant) was deliciousssss the staff was also incredible. They helped us cut our cake (a task I did not want to undertake) and made sure everybody was happy. The suites are stunning from a recent remodel. I think back on our day and I’m still on cloud 9. I could say so much more!!! But I’m so happy. And not only that but I honestly feel that for being in this area with limited venues available, we got the best and most beautiful bang for our buck. I would LOVE to plan to go back and stay for our one year anniversary next year 😍 five stars!!
Our daughter had her beautiful wedding in November at Inn on the Lakes in Sebring, Fl. The setting is a lovely Spanish Colonial Revival built in the 1920s. The renovations are designer high end finishes. The ceremony was in the garden area off the pool full of tropical plants and flowers overlooking the lake. The reception was in the newly renovated Royal Palm room.
Erica, the event coordinator, was so very professional. She helped us plan and advised us throughout the entire wedding.
Everything from managing staff to fixing the train before walking down the isle to staying to the end was seen to by Erica. She is an tremendous asset to the Inn. We just can't say enough about how she catered to us every way possible.
The delicious food was provided by Chicanes and was plated and served by the highly skilled staff. They also cut and served the cake at Erica's request.
That evening as we left, we were all touched by the congratulations to the newlywed couple on the hotel marquis.
Picturesque and affordable venue for a small wedding. My son and his girlfriend were recently married at Inn on the Lakes. This was a small wedding, and we were only eleven guests. We held the wedding ceremony at the far end of the pool, in the garden area surrounded by flowers and chirping birds. The hotel closed $ the pool area for "a private event", so the wedding was very private and the photographer had free rein in the pool area. We booked room 218 for the couple for five nights, so that we could take wedding pictures on and from the balcony. Everything was super easy: licence and marriage certificate from a friendly lady at city hall; officiant White Butterfly Wedding Creations; two hours of photography by Carmela Blackwell Photography; and dinner in the semi-private Brick Room at Chicanes, where we simply ordered off the menu. And, as a bonus, all very affordable - cost for the wedding event (license, officiant, photography, pool closure, dinner and five nights hotel) less than $2800.
My husband and I knew we wanted to get married in Sebring and immediately thought of Inn on the Lakes. We liked the fact that it is unique to Sebring and not just another hotel chain. Since we live 2 hours away, we depended a lot on the event/wedding planner at the hotel and she did not disappoint. Lines of communication were always open and she worked with our budget and number of guests very well.
The price of the reception was very reasonable and the food was quite good. The reception room itself was big enough to fit our 70 guests plus DJ and dance floor. The only downside to the room was the fact that the ceiling is very low which made it look smaller than what it really is and the space in between the tables used for our grand entrance was a little tight. The only other thing that was a bit disappointing was the cocktail hour setup. I didn't realize the appetizers weren't going to be served by the servers. They were left on the table for people to serve themselves. Unfortunately, people took advantage of this and only half of our guests were able to taste the appetizers. In retrospect, that was the one question I didn't ask and I probably could have asked for it to be done that way. I would definitely recommend asking that question beforehand.
Overall, my husband and I had a great experience. We especially enjoyed the Presidential Suite we stayed in for the night and the complimentary champagne and breakfast we received. We definitely recommend Inn on the Lakes to anyone getting married in Sebring.
Very nice. Quiet, good breakfast and the free champagne was a surprise!
Inn on the Lakes is a beautiful small inn located on Lake Jackson. The food is fabulous and well priced. We also stayed there and the rooms are very nice and affordable. There were many places to take some great pictures there, too!;We had a few problems just like most weddings experience. First the hotel promised valet and we found out when my husband and I arrived last that there was no valet and consequently no parking. We had our reception around the pool in November and the blind mosqitos were almost unbearable, people had to cover there drinks. Also, we knew that rain was a possiblity so we payed extra to have the reception room ready and when we went up there because it did rain, it was hot and the tables weren't covered. Lastly, my husband wanted a special beer to be served and they promised it and didn't tell us until my husband went to order one from the bartender that they weren't able to get it, if they had let us know we could have found a way to get it. I would just double check everything the day before with them to make sure the things they promised were delivered!
