ator got in a bad car accident on the way to our wedding & the assistants had to take over the coordination. It was raining in Boulder so the assistants had to go back & forth between inside and outside setup—eventually being able to set up outside which we are grateful for. At the end of the night there was a mishap in which we were not checked into our hotel room still & our bags & gifts were in random spots around the hotel. It was explained to us in our calls with Ivory that they would go into our room during the wedding & secure our bags & gifts in the room for us. When the wedding was over, I had no bags & our gifts not in our possession. Meanwhile, family & friends started trickling back into the hotel asking us what we were still doing there. I do not think it is unreasonable to want to avoid a situation where I’m waiting around seeing our guests again after we had our exit. I had to track down my bags—a job that was supposed to be completed hours earlier by Ivory—& it was an incredibly upsetting way to end my wedding night. Ivory has only deflected responsibility when contacting them about these issues, saying that I missed responding to an email about my arrival time when the email was regarding an entirely different topic and I communicated my hair/makeup schedule with lvory numerous times. They also said check-in is the responsibility of the hotel. There was no mention to us about check-in laws from Ivory & they communicated to us previously that they would be entering our room to place our belongings for us with zero mention of what to expect for check-in. When we brought this up to Honey, instead of any sort of apology at all or even a basic understanding of where we were coming from, they deflected & listed out any possible thing they could think of that went wrong from the wedding & how they saved the day. Regarding our main issue of checking in, they said that it wasn’t in the contract for them to bring things up and rambled on about confidentiality laws. Bottom line here is don’t expect them to do things that you talked about with them if it’s not in writing. Things said in video calls may just be empty promises. Same goes for having some food delivered up after the wedding, and having drinks ready to go for the bridal party when we arrived back from pictures. Those second two would’ve been nice but didn’t matter much, the first one caused us absolute panic on our wedding night because our stuff was who knows where including large amounts of cash in our wedding gifts. The second you say you’re dissatisfied with something, they instead try to make you feel guilty for ever saying anything. The strangest part is this situation is they told us about where a family allegedly showed up that had previously RSVP’d no. The only family at the wedding that matched their description was one that included a bridesmaid and the flower girl, who certainly never RSVP’d no. We just wanted admission that things didn’t fully go to plan and instead we get some story that doesn’t seem to be true. All of this left a bad taste in our mouths about Ivory, & while the wedding vision was executed, behind the scenes they are unkind & can’t own up to anything you weren’t satisfied with. Because of this, we’d recommend going with someone else.

She made sure everything flowed perfectly, and her attention to detail meant that everyone, from the vendors to the guests, knew exactly what to do and when, all without a hint of stress. Plus, she fit right in with our family and friends, making everyone feel cared for. She wasn’t just our planner, she was part of the celebration. That was important to us because we were having a fusion wedding - my husband is American. We had two different ceremonies, a western one and an Indian ceremony full of all the traditions. There were so many moving parts to our wedding and having her (and her team!!) on our side really helped ease our stress so that we could really enjoy ourselves. From finding the right caterers (our moms were particular about the food)to Pandit to the DJ and florist, lighting and decor, transportation etc. Everything was great. We were able to pull everything off within our budget - which was huge ! A lot of the other planners we interviewed wanted us to spend much more on decor etc which we didn't think necessary, Honey was amazing, she didn't force her views on us and neither did Earlie or anyone else on the Ivory team. She listened and made sure our vision came to life. We loved how calm she was, how she was always on top of details and most of all she presented us with different vendors so that we could make an informed decision - they went through the pros and cons of each vendor with us which really helped. They have a lot of vendors that they have worked with that as a bride, I wouldn't be able to find on my own!
