. I found it because the dress designer I loved (all who wonder) was found here. Thus was my second dress shop I went too. Everyone was so nice. I am not the slimmest girl and the frist place dresses seemed smaller and these were more my size so I did not need the back exnsender clamp things wich helps in realy lovely a dress.

the pandemic. J Majors kept my dress safe in their store until I was ready to bring it home in early 2021 - they even squeezed me in on a busy Saturday for a try-on when I finally did pick my dress up (so I could remember what it looked like since it had been so long since I picked it out). After my wedding, Kaylyn helped me mail my dress out to be preserved. I think the most important part about my experience with J Majors was that they never once commented on my body size or type when I was trying on dresses. I had gone to another bridal boutique in Charlotte and the stylist kept commenting on how skinny the dresses made me look, or dramatically pinning me in the dresses to imply that the samples didn’t fit me - which made me really uncomfortable. J Majors kept my body size and shape out of the conversation when I was trying on dresses and I really appreciated that. I would recommend J Majors to all of my friends.

The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful and I felt very comfortable sharing my wants without being judged or pushed in a particular direction. Once I picked the perfect dress for me, the J. Major's staff were right there with me to suggest alterations and steaming it before the big day. My dress was perfect for me and I cannot thank J. Major's enough for making the process an enjoyable one!

After picking my dream dress, they even put a hold to their personal plans to size me and fully explain the ordering process. Shopping at J. feel special and were so helpful. I appreciate that I was a larger bride (size 18-20) and never felt judged, even when I had trouble getting a sample on. I actually wound up purchasing my dress here and the overall experience was wonderful. They do not have an in house seamstress but when I emailed to get a recommendation they replied within a few hours. The service was still great even after the purchase was made.

They were spot on with my sizing, my dress came in sooner than expected, great communication and it's such a plus that they steam your dress for you prior to wedding day. Their new space is beautiful and every bride's dream! Highly recommended!

amazing Rachel kept me calm, taught me everything I needed to know, and we FOUND MY DRESS IN APPT #1!!! I then had 2 more appts to show my friends and family and the rest is history! MUST go place!

hrough the door I knew this would be different. The staff was so helpful, sweet and supportive. They made me feel comfortable and handed me tags to go place on any dress that I wanted to try on. I gave some to my girls and we were able to divide and conquer- I loved that! I think it was the second dress that I put on but I KNEW it was the one. The dress is stunning but I think it’s so important to feel comfortable and relaxed while going through this process to feel your best. The wonderful staff was not pushy but so supportive in that moment. The girl helping me even teared up! I honestly felt like all of the things that threw me off and stressed me out in my prior attempts at other bridal boutiques just came so naturally at J. Majors. It was their perfect combination of a sweet and professional staff, a relaxed and beautiful buzzing atmosphere and their incredible selection of gorgeous gowns to choose from. at another boutique, I still wanted to write a review on The Knot for fellow brides who are maybe just starting the hunt for the perfect dress! The associate who helped us, Rachel, was incredibly warm, welcoming, easy to talk to, and respectful of the style of dress I wanted (I had experiences elsewhere where I felt like the salesperson was trying too hard to push me to try on dresses that I simply didn't like in an effort to "have fun" and push me out of my comfort zone- thanks but no thanks). Rachel listened to me when I described my perfect dress, looked at photos I had saved as inspiration, and was incredibly helpful at guiding me to dresses that I immediately fell in love with. Also, I think it's important to note that this shop is very high-end and sophisticated, but not once did it have a 'stuffy' or self-important feel to it- Rachel and the shop owner and the other salesperson were kind, down-to-earth, and genuine. Nothing seemed fake or put-on. J. Majors truly set the bar VERY high for wedding dress shopping and showed us what the bridal gown try-on process should look and feel like! I cannot recommend this sweet boutique enough!!!

h such kindness and positive energy. I had tried on so many different dresses at various boutiques in the Charlotte-area, and none of them are what I had imagined my prefect dress to be. When I told my consultant, Rachel, what I was looking for, she immediately was able to pull 8 dresses that fit my wants. She then took her time to listen to my likes/dislikes and pull more based off of what she was hearing. It was the most personal interaction I had in my entire dress search. They never viewed me as a 'sale opportunity' but as a bride. If you are looking on finding your perfect dress and for amazing customer service, J. Major's is your place!

Their whole staff is great, and they sell some of the best designer dresses! I would without a doubt come back to buy a wedding dress. Overall experience was so amazing!

I was so nervous before my appointment that it would be stressful but Courtney and the entire staff at JMajors made it such a fun experience.

. At 5'7'" and a street size 6 I know that my measurements do not reflect well in pattern sizes. I even tried a bridal dress on that almost fit only to have them order a size 14 dress, ( at least 2 sizes up) - I knew it would be too large and told them so. However, I am not acquainted with the bridal industry and had hoped that the bridal shop and owner would make dress shopping an easy process. I wanted to keep within my budget and timeline. Both did not happen. The dress came in late and I had moved away and had to fly down to try on the dress for alterations. The dress was HUGE and I had to pay a large amount of money for alterations. I did have extra lace added to the dress for alterations but the dress was so large that the structure was changed due to sizing. The owner was very passive aggressive with an insincere apology. I was stunned that the cost of alterations cost was 1/3 of the cost of the entire dress. I had no idea this was an expectation of me with a bridal dress purchase . On the positive side, the owner of Anna's alterations could not have been more helpful with me. Her staff and the owner at Anna's alterations worked hard to help me with a dress which was delivered late and was very large and needed multiple alterations at what I deemed a high cost. So Brides, be warned before you go into this boutique. I felt I was duped and frustrated because of the experience and because the owner was less than empathetic and not willing to do anything to rectify the situation. I did find out later, that this is a new owner of this boutique. Thank goodness, I was familiar enough with sewing and knew what I was doing at Anna's. The lace looked fabulous and we restructured the bodice of the dress due to sizing and it looked better than before. I am very appreciative to those seamstresses.

It was perfect and everything I hoped it would be! All of the girls there were super friendly and helpful! They made sure I was comfortable and made me feel like a princess! The only downside I would say is that they do not have the largest selection in regards to dresses that are within the $1,000-$1,500 price range. If your budget is in that range you may not find your dream dress there.

The staff truly made me feel special while trying on dresses and gave me great feedback on what they thought fit my body type. When I brought my whole Bride Tribe back for "Say Yes to the Dress" day, they were extremely accommodating and allowed my mom to bring a few things for the girls to snack on. They were again very friendly and professional and made the experience memorable and touching for me and my girls. I found such a beautiful dress and have received countless compliments on it. I'm so thankful I shopped here!

g able to look through each and every dress on my own. So many other bridal boutiques don't let you do that, which I was growing very frustrated with. At J. Major's, I easily marked the hangers of the dresses that I liked (and most importantly, the ones in my budget!) and my consultant organized them in my dressing room for me. What I loved about that was it caused any stress or anxiety to go away. I was able to casually look through things, take my time, and no one made me feel uncomfortable or was pushy...totally my style! Everyone on staff was so nice, welcoming, calm and accommodating and the store was beautiful and organized - every single time I visited. After purchasing my dress, they were very quick to respond to my e-mails with status updates on when the dress was scheduled to arrive. Once it came in, i tried it on again and then worked with them to get alterations done with a local seamstress they recommended. J. Major's transported my dress and I just had to show up for my fittings. So easy! I would definitely recommend J. Major's to any bride looking for a nice, memorable, stress-free wedding dress shopping experience!

When I put it on, I was overwhelmed with joy and couldn’t stop the tears. I shopped around a bit more at other boutiques, but nothing compared to that dream dress - OR the experience that J. Majors provided (largest variety, most attentive staff, plenty of dresses in my budget.) We went back to J. Majors at the end of the day and sealed the deal. I cannot wait to go back for my fitting! I would HIGHLY recommend J. Major’s to ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants the perfect stress-free, FUN gown shopping experience.

When I found the right top and the right bottom style on two different dresses CJ suggested getting a custom design in order to get the best of both in one dress. The fitting process was fun and easy, the dress turned out beautiful, and I was offered a discount for dress cleaning and preservation after my wedding. Definitely recommend!

I try the Erin Grey Couture line to create a custom look with the dress of my dreams by ordering bridal separates. I ordered my dress in August before a May wedding. I specifically asked that my dress would be ready before an April bridal portrait, knowing that I needed to book this early in advance. My dress did not come in until mid-April, and then this "custom" dress based off my measurements needed 4 rounds of alterations before it actually fit my petite frame, and I FINALLY picked my dress up from the alterations three days before the wedding. There was not enough time for the salon to professionally steam my dress before my wedding day. Needless to say, I had to cancel my bridal portraits and was frustrated with how long the process took. It's a nice store but they do not honor the time commitments they make to customers.

ppointment, I did not feel pressured to buy a gown - other bridal salons I went to I felt pressured to buy a certain dress THAT day. J. Major's let me decide, and offered their advice when asked. After purchasing my dress, they e-mailed/called me to let me know when it came in, set up alterations and delivered/picked up the dress for me, and e-mailed me after the wedding about how to preserve my dress. They were so easy to work with, and always so nice. I highly recommend them when searching for your wedding gown!

re this and one other bridesmaid dress shop after this (and had already purchased my wedding dress) and compared to the other places I visited, our experience at J. Majors was not great. The ladies showed us the different bridesmaid dress designers, but were not willing to provide any guidance on what styles may be best, etc. They didn't take the time to get to know us, our style, the wedding style, etc. The only help they provided was putting the dresses into the dressing room and writing down the dress styles we liked at the end. From what I've seen at other bridal boutiques, I was less than impressed and would not recommend J. Majors to others if you're looking for more guidance, help, answers to questions, etc.

J Majors was the first place that I had actually scheduled an appointment and really spent time looking and trying on dresses and was the only place I visited that I felt the specialists were truly invested in my experience. They have a wide range of dresses for both style and price! Nothing else compared to my experience here and I would relive this day over and over again if I could!
