Jess is hands down, wonderful and an absolute joy to work with. She has a phenomenal eye for detail and will make sure that throughout your crazy day, she is your constant. Having her there made me feel secure. No matter what was going on around me, who was running late, whatever we forgot to bring to the ceremony, I knew that the work she was doing was gonna be the relief at the end. She even sent for WHATABURGER when the caterers ran out of food. This is who you want & need as your wedding photographer. The professionalism is met with grace and talent like no other! I can't believe I've waited so long to write this! If you're looking for the PERFECT photographer to capture the most special moments in your life, Jesslynn is the one! She the type of person who instantly becomes your best friend when you meet her! We met up with her in Gruene for our engagement photos and had the time of our life. She made us feel so comfortable during the entire session, which made for some incredible engagement photos! She even met up with us afterwards to hang out at a favorite local spot! Jesslynn was so attentive to us during the entire wedding planning process and made sure she captured our vision. Fast forward to our wedding day in October....held in Port A at a beautiful outdoor/waterfront venue. The weather was perfect, with the exception of some pretty powerful winds! Would've been fine, had I not been wearing some dramatic and lengthy hair extensions. My hair and veil were blowing all over the place! Jesslynn worked her magic and was able to find perfect spots throughout the venue to capture our photos. Looking back at the photos now, you could never tell how windy it was. They came out perfect! Jesslynn and her sister/second shooter were so much fun to be around during the wedding, like we'd been friends with them forever! They captured our wedding day/night more beautifully than we could've imagined. Our venue and our photographer were our biggest investment throughout the process and I'm so glad they were. Almost three years later and our friends and family STILL talk about our wedding, how much fun they had and how beautiful it was. What makes it even better is getting to relive that special day through the gorgeous photos Jesslynn captured. Not only did we gain some amazing wedding photos, we gained a lifelong friend, as well!!!

My husband and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have Jesslynn capture our wedding day! My sister-in-law hired her for her wedding and the photos were magnificent! We knew we’d made the right choice. Jesslynn was fun, joyful, easy to work with, and has an amazing talent for capturing special moments. She is so bubbly, friendly and easy going that your stresses seem to melt away the instant you start working with her. Having known her for years, my husband and I were so excited when she said yes to photographing our engagement photos and wedding! Her eye is incredible, and she's very open to working with you to create your perfect vision. We did things a little differently in that we wanted to get first look and all bridal party / family photos done before the wedding. Jesslynn was super accommodating to this and even helped us work out the schedule. Her ability to capture the vibe of the whole evening on top of the individual moments is impeccable. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Jesslynn and her work. If you are considering J. Violet Photography then do yourself a favor and book her immediately!

Beyond a dream; that’s what it was like working with Jesslynn! After seeing her work on several acquaintances’ weddings, I knew I needed to book Jesslynn to capture our engagement photos and our wedding (I booked her even before any other vendor!). My fiancé and I came to Texas to have our engagement photos done where we met, but then Jesslynn came all the way to us in New Orleans for our wedding! She was the epitome of professional, fun, and helpful! New Orleans has a several unique wedding traditions and Jesslynn captured them all in such an artistic and tasteful manner! I wouldn’t change a thing about our special day, and that includes Jesslynn!

5 Stars all the way! Jesslynn had us at 2 Tarts Bakery. Josh and I clicked with her immediately! Jesslynn is bubbly, awesomely awkward and so sweet! Posing for my bridal session was totally unnatural for me, but she makes you feel so comfortable and perfectly at ease! Second to our wedding venue, the photography was of utmost importance. With Jesslynn, we had ZERO worries that our pictures would be anything but dreamy! Josh and I absolutely LOVED our wedding pictures! She captured each moment wonderfully. I would HIGHLY recommend Jesslynn!!!

Jesslynn was an absolutely JOY to work with. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is so personable that it felt like working with an old friend. The pictures came out even better than I could have imagined! She knows how to use the light and captured our wedding just as beautifully as I remembered it. Jesslynn photographed my wedding at Lost Mission on April 29, 2017, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the way our pictures turned out!! We picked Jesslynn based on her overall style--the way she captures the light and angles, and the perfect mix of fun, creative, formal, and downright dreamy pictures she takes of weddings! We also picked her because she had shot weddings at Lost Mission before and we absolutely fell in love!! She was amazing to work with, professional, super fun and easy going. She made sure to capture all of the specific moments we requested and just as, if not more important, captured the moments we never knew were even there and will cherish for years to come! I would highly recommend Jesslynn, easiest and best decision we made. :) Also, shout out to her second photographer (I feel awful I forgot her name) she was amazing as well; they made a perfect team!

I cannot say enough good things about Jesslynn! Our situation was a little atypical and she didn't even bat at eye at it. From the moment we met I felt like 'please be my bff!' Her east going attitude it just tip of her awesome personality. Not to even mention her photography skills!! She has such an eye for unique images yet classic at the same time. Her attention to details is really what makes her work pop. We will look at our images in the years to come and be so thankful she was willing to work with us. Jesslyn ROCKS!!! I was on the struggle bus trying to find a wedding photographer until my wedding planner recommended J.Violet Photography. Once I perused her catalogue of photos and her affordable pricing I was so in! She shot my bridals first a few months before my wedding and i was completely blown away. She captured the look I wanted and I had so many shots that I absolutely loved. Her enthusiasm during a shoot is contagious and you can't help but get excited about the images you know she is capturing. She is a perfectionist in the best way and I'm so thankful to have worked with her!!

Jesslynn photographed my vineyard wedding in April 2017. From my engagement photos in a field of Texas wildflowers, to bridals, to the Big Day, she captured my vision and more. She is professional, fun, and I felt like I had a close wedding ally-she gave advice for timing events the day of, what would work best (when I didn't have a clue), and helped me when my hairstylist disappeared (whew!). Her ability to capture the ethereal nature of lighting is a true art & gift. I felt like my photos are what Jane Austen novels would capture. She and her sister make a fabulous team to catch angles I didn't know existed. She captured the details I was so afraid I would miss. Best investment of my wedding-truly. (My groom really liked her, too. )

My husband initially suggested Jesslynn because he had known her for years and thought we would get along well. After our initial phone call I knew she was the one for us! She did an incredible job with our engagement photos and suggested several different spots that were perfect (go to Canyon Lake!!). Our wedding day was a crazy thunderstorm that resulted in pre-ceremony photos in the rain and a last minute venue change that pushed our ceremony 1.5 hours. Through all of it, Jesslynn was cool and collected. Our teaser photos are incredible! She feels like part of the family now and I will never hire a different photographer. She's the best.

Jesslynn was SO great to work with! From the first time we met, she instantly felt like an old friend and we spent more time talking about all the stuff we had in common (mainly being a family of all sisters and Aggie Grads (whoop!)! She took all the stress out of our wedding photography. She was so fast at getting our large families pictures done and we were ahead of schedule the whole night. Her second shooter that night was her little sister, and again, she felt like family instantly! It was so great having them capture our special day and we LOVE our pictures!! We receive so many compliments on how beautiful they are!

Finding a photographer can be stressful! But, J. violet was recommended to me by another bride- and I'm so glad I used her. I absolutely adore my pictures. She really listened to what moments were important to us. I love all the candid shots, as well as our formal ones. Her ability to fly under the radar on our big day allowed her to capture some fantastic candids of our wedding guests. Don't hesitate to book Jesslyn if she's on your short list.
