Shirley made a custom wedding band to go with my unusual engagement ring and it came out perfectly. I now live in a different city but have been a customer of Jan Dee Jewelry and an admirer of Shirley's custom pieces for years. When the time came to get a band, Shirley was able to create my ideal wedding band using photos/examples as a guide. I am thrilled!

I really enjoyed my experience working with Basil at Jan Dee! He is the best consultant there to work with, and doesn't pressure on pricing. My husband had (secretly) picked out my engagement ring there, and Basil helped him make the perfect selection. He got to pick out the diamond and he said he really enjoyed the process & it was simple. After having my engagement ring for only a few months, I accidentally snagged it on a sweater and one of the prongs came slightly loose. I brought it in and Basil fixed it up in no time! Because of his experience, we decided to get our bands there too. We went twice - once to get a sense of selection/pricing, and the second time to make the decision. If you're able to work with Basil he will work within your budget to find (or create!) the perfect piece. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. We bought wedding rings from Jan Dee over 25 years ago. We still get complements nearly every day on their uniqueness and beauty. I had to have my set re-sized several years ago and they did excellent work at a fair price. I love my ring and my husband loves and wears his - not a typical wedding band at all - but unique with onyx and a baguette diamond. Neither of our rings is 'typical' and that's what we love. Even after 25 years - they are still both contemporary and timeless. So glad we decided to have them make our custom rings so many years ago!!

We got the engagement ring from my husbands family jeweler and has a great experience. Since we live in the city, we needed a quick way to get out bands. Enter Jan Dee. They had a decent selection of bands to choose from and one that matched my engagement ring PERFECTLY. Great. Well while they were sizing me for the band they cleaned by engagement ring. 3 of the diamonds fell out! And they were going to charge me after THEY broke the ring. AND it would take forever because they are open only a few days a week. I was beyond frustrated so I took the ring and the loose diamonds all the way back to the other jeweler who fixed it for FREE. Then when we finally picked up the bands...they charged us twice. It was a huge ordeal to charge everything back to the credit card. Overall I was pretty frustrated with this place. I understand it could be totally situational though. In the end my ring is pretty gorgeous and the tough stuff is over.
