If we could give 100 stars, we would! Where to start? Well, for those who don't like to read long reviews, know this: Jeannine is hands down the best. She makes everyone feel at ease, she makes your day incredibly special, she is inordinately talented with tremendous vision, her final products are incredible and you will not regret one penny that you spend on her services. I should also note that we did all our planning and design sessions from afar as we live in Virginia and she was wonderful throughout the process. For those who read longer reviews, here we go. BEFORE THE WEDDING Jeannine was amazing from the start - she provides questionnaires that help her get to know the couple and after our first meeting we both felt completely comfortable with her. She was fun to meet with and whenever we had a question during the wedding planning process, she was quick to respond and always helpful. THE DAY OF The day of the wedding. Holy bananas was she great. We (my husband and I, my extended family, my husband's family, everyone) talked about her for WEEKS after our wedding - that we got so lucky to have such a wonderful photographer. We had also requested a second photographer and Jeannine brought Kate Minor with her who was equally amazing. Kate also has wonderful vision and was so kind; we would hire her again too! We had a pretty large wedding party (6 on each side) and Jeannine worked hard to remember everyone's names so she could quickly reposition people for photos. Not only did she remember the names in our wedding party, she also remembered my extended family's names (also a large group). My 6-year-old stepdaughter (Ellie) was very closely involved in our wedding day and Jeannine was absolutely incredible with her. She is a very spunky, outgoing child with a tremendous amount of curiosity and loved to know what Jeannine was doing - Jeannine was so patient and kind, showing Ellie the photos she took and involving her in the process. Ellie got to pick the silly faces the wedding party made, perfected her twirl, and even got to help Jeannine take a photo! AFTER THE WEDDING When our gallery was ready for us to view, Jeannine reached out to ask when my husband and I would have time to look at it together. She then scheduled an email to go out at that time so we wouldn't be tempted to look at the gallery separately. It was such wonderful insight and forethought she brought to this process, we had an amazing time reliving the day and are so grateful she recommended we do it together. It was a very special time. THE FINAL PRODUCTS Our wedding album is our favorite thing to have come from our wedding. We did three design sessions with Jeannine and she was tremendously patient with my neurotic attention to detail. Every session was fun and she made the design process so easy. The album is incredible and we have received so many compliments on it from our friends and family. THE FUTURE While we live in Virginia, we have big plans to hire Jeannine every time we need family photos! We've decided that whenever we're in town for other events, we will plan to schedule time with Jeannine and get our photos done. We absolutely love her and you will too!

Jeannine photographed our October 2022 wedding in downtown Minneapolis. She came highly recommended from a friend who had worked with her on previous weddings. When looking through her previous work, she had a great mix of fun and traditional, which was exactly what we were looking for. After meeting with her, we both quickly agreed that we had found the perfect fit, both in terms of style and personality. Jeannine was incredibly helpful throughout the process, making planning from 1,200+ miles away much less stressful. The night before the wedding, there was a change of weather in the forecast and Jeannine was quick to walk us through alternative plans if needed and put our minds at ease. The day of, she was energetic and fun, but also great at keeping everyone on task! Her general ‘vibe’ worked SO well with our whole crew, and she managed to get everyone’s personalities in photos. She captured the ceremony perfectly and got some amazing candid shots of our guests dancing during the reception. The photos even came back sooner than expected and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! We would highly recommend Jeannine to photograph your big day! Jeannine is the absolute best. We have worked with her three times so far and will definitely be using her for all our photography needs in the future. The number one comment from our wedding party and guests was about how wonderful she was. She knows what she is doing and will go above and beyond to get the shot. Jeannine is an absolute gem of a person and I am incredibly grateful that she was able to be our photographer for our wedding. My wedding photos are simply stunning! I got married in the sunken garden of the Conservatory in Como Park, and Jeannine's photos really convey the beauty of that space. She also captured beautiful expressions on everyone's faces -- they look very genuine. Finally, she had a great presence at the event. She was always around yet never seemed in the way!

Words cannot describe how much my wife and I enjoyed working with Jeannine from day 1! Between her personality, knowledge, advice on how to make the day go smooth, and her sheer talent, there is no one else we would have rather worked with on such a special day. Even having 3 young boys in a lot of pictures that are notoriously difficult to photograph, she won them over right away! She was more than accommodating with all of our photo requests and worked very well with both families. All that aside, the actual pictures she took were jaw dropping! We love pictures that aren't drowned in color filters and she was able to make the natural colors, subject, and background pop and bring the picture to life! If it were possible to give her more than 5 stars we would in a heartbeat! Highly, highly, highly recommend!

Jeannine is an incredibly talented photographer and she was AWESOME to work with! She knew all the right photos to take, where and when and she did a great job of making us feel comfortable and look natural during our photos. She was so easy to work with and we cannot recommend her enough. We've only gotten a sneak peak of our photos so far, but we are already blown away by what we saw! Highly recommend!

The one word I would use to describe Jeannie is.......WOW! She is a drop dead all star. She did such an amazing job at our backyard outdoor wedding on Lake Minnetonka (which included tornado warnings, tons of rain, high winds, and a beautiful sunset at the end). She was so much fun to work with, an absolute sweetheart, and paid super close attention to the details that matter (for instance, she brought me wine randomly throughout the night when she noticed I wasn't holding a drink, which was amazing). Instead of "some random person" following you around at your wedding, it was just like having one of your best friends tagging along and coaching you through shots, making sure you capture everything you want, and supporting you along the way. My husband and I could not have asked for a better photographer. We just got our "sneak preview" and were absolutely STUNNED by the 100+ gorgeous photos she sent over the day after our wedding. I don't even know where to start with how wonderful Jeannine is! We sadly started with another photographer for our engagement photos and I cried when we got them back! As hard as it was to shift gears and book a new photographer I am SO HAPPY we did! Not only is she amazingly talented she interacts so well with people and made the long day of photos so much fun. Weddings are hard, people are moving in every direction but she managed to keep it all together and the sneak peeks we have gotten back so far are beyond incredible! Highly recommend 1000 times over!

Jeannine is a talented photographer. Her natural eye and sense of composition rival pretty much any shooter. We knew she was right for us a year in advance, but we both postponed and then rushed our wedding due to COVID and family circumstances - yet Jeannine was accommodating and so generous! “She got me,” was what my new husband said as we sat down for dinner. After the rush of the ceremony, and the greetings, and the hellos, and the photos we finally had a moment to enjoy with just us at our little table. “Who got you what”? I asked. “She got me tearing up when you came down the aisle,” he replied. Now that we have the photos back, I couldn’t be happier that Jeannine was our photographer. She was able to capture the moments that we thought only we saw. She captured the moments of joy, celebration, and complete happiness. Through her photos, we were able to see things we missed and are so happy to have memories of now. Though we were married in the middle of a pandemic, Jeannine’s photos do not show any of the stress or ware that this difficult time has brought. She was fabulous to work with and very understanding of all the restrictions we were placed under to ensure everyone was safe, paying special attention to those with additional concerns. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and are so grateful for every moment she captured and was apart of. Thank you Jeannine!

TLDR: Jeannine is amazing - HIRE HER IMMEDIATELY if you want bold, vibrant, emotional images that you will cherish for a lifetime!! 😍😍😍 After getting engaged, I knew that one of my highest priorities for the wedding was having amazing images. I wanted the memories of our day to be captured so that we have them to look back on - to capture the emotions, to remind us of the beginning of our love story, to celebrate how far we've come, to encourage us when times are tough. Before our engagement shoot, Jeannine asked us lots of questions about us and our relationship. After hearing about our summer adventures up north, she asked what we thought about doing the engagement session up there (ummm, yes!). She suggested several great locations, but we chose Jay Cooke State Park for its stunning and wild beauty. We knew it would be a perfect match for Jeannine's bold/epic photography style and the kind of images we hoped for! We were a little bit nervous, but the shoot was a lot of fun. (Looking back, I think doing the e-session helped us loosen up and be a lot more natural on camera for wedding day!) I didn't even like my hair and makeup that much (that's another story), but she's Jeannine so she still got amazing photos that we LOVE!! :) On wedding day, everything was seamless. Jeannine scouted the perfect location ahead of time for our first look and couple + wedding party photos. Doing portraits before the wedding with Jeannine was just FUN. She always has a huge smile on her face! We appreciated her energy and enthusiasm, and she has been doing this for so long that she just seems to know instinctually how to get that perfect shot every time! At our reception, she always seemed to be nearby to capture impromptu photos of us with our loved ones in between her candids. I don't know how many times throughout the process and wedding day my fiancé/husband said to me, "I really like Jeannine! I'm so glad we chose her!!" We got lots of compliments from the family as well about how great and fun Jeannine was. We got our wedding photos back right as our honeymoon was ending. In our new home, we got to relive our beautiful wedding day through the images, and all of the gooey feelings and giggles and tears came back as we remembered our favorite day. Jeannine, thank you so SO much!! It was the perfect day. We are so happy and I can't tell you how precious it is to have these gorgeous images to remember and cherish our wedding day for the rest of our lives!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 We love them so much.

Jeannine was AMAZING! Not only did she give us the pictures of our dreams but she also helped me in every way possible. She even helped me get into my wedding dress. She is truly the best. Simply put, Jeannine is the best wedding photographer in the Twin Cities. She really cared about us on our wedding day, was energetic and fun during intimate photos, yet firm when rounding everyone up for family shots. Like all the other reviewers before me, there's just not enough great things to say about Jeannine. Her vision and creativity is magical. I gave her a list of my party attendants and family members three days before the wedding and she had memorized them all on that day. She sat on the ground for the majority of the reception to ensure that I would have great photos during my speeches. She was quick and observant - catching small moments going on in the background that totally went over our heads. Her and her partner arrived early and were ready to work and left at 10 pm, still with lots of energy. I know she probably didn't get 8 hours of sleep that night because the very next day at 9 AM she posted 40 preview pictures of our wedding, edited and all. When we were looking at photographers in the early stages of our wedding planning we were so overwhelmed and confused - everyone started to look the same. We met with several photographers but just didn't feel that click. Within 10 minutes of our meeting with Jeannine I knew. When we ended our video call with her my husband and I knew we had found a photographer for our special day. She's kind, experienced, organized, professional, and the quality of her photos are an exact reflection of her dedication to her craft. From the first meeting that I interviewed Jeannine to be our wedding photographer I was so impressed. She was fun and upbeat along with warm and friendly! We had our engagement photos taken by her in one of my dream locations and I was so impressed! This made us so comfortable for our wedding day. She was on time and keep the photos going on time even with my makeup slightly delayed. All our family and guests loved her and we are getting nothing but rave reviews on the photos! Looking for a photographer for my wedding was extremely overwhelming. I didn't want to pay someone thousands of dollars and not love their work. I am telling you go with Jeannine!! She knows what she's doing! She has great vision and is always aware of her surroundings ready to get the perfect shot! She listens to your needs and wants and delivers! On top of that she is good at directing the whole wedding party and family the day of, she handles the chaos like a champ! She is also very friendly and easy going and is great with communicating throughout the whole wedding plan process. She is a little more than I wanted to spend but I absolutely do not regret paying more. Our pictures (engagement and wedding) are beautiful! You one hundred percent get your money's worth! Jeannine was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer and more! She was gem to work with from day one. Her creative talent and attention to detail really amazed my wife and I. Jeannine was absolutely fantastic! She was a joy to work with and was full of wonderful, creative ideas. Photography was a major part of our wedding day and we're really glad we went with Jeannine. Jeannine is fantastic!!! Our wedding happened right after the April snowstorm and it was about 40 degrees outside on our wedding day. I froze during our outdoor pictures, but Jeannine kept her energy level high and created a fun environment. She still got amazing shots and we don't look like we were freezing. Jeannine also gave me her jacket in-between pictures and while walking.. so sweet! Our guests are raving about our photos and loved that they got to see some during our reception. Other than deciding to get married to each other, hiring Jeannine Marie as our photographer was the best decision we made. Not to mention the fact that she is just an awesome person and extremely easy to get along with, she absolutely went the extra mile for us. She killed it with our engagement photos many months before the wedding giving us the perfect images to announce our day (and decorate our house). On the day of the wedding she was an absolute pro! She was battling a cold the day of our wedding, but that did not slow her down one bit. She was there from the begging to the end capturing every moment and every detail. She even adjusted on the fly as we said hey, we want this photo or that photo. After the wedding Jeannine continued to amaze us. We assumed she would need some time to rest from the wedding of the year and the cold that she was battling, but she exceeded our expectations by getting us a preview in 24 hours. We were blown away by her ability to capture so many precious (and hilarious) moments from our day. She is at the top of her game and if you do not hire her as your photographer you are doing this wedding thing all wrong.

Jeannine is such a sweetheart! I have work with her a few times in weddings as one of the makeup artists. She is quick to providing photos and is always willing to do what she can to satisfied the clients and vendors need. On top of that, she is amazing photographer! Absolutely could not have asked for a better experience! We did an engagement session with Jeannine and she also was the photographer for our wedding in August 2018. She had so many ideas of poses and places to take photos and was able to fit so many different photos into our session. She whirled us around Minnehaha falls for our engagement session and made it a truly fun experience. For our wedding she kept taking photos well after our agreed time because she kept loving all the different shots she was getting. "Just one more" she said! We ended up with almost 1000 photos from our wedding and just couldn't be happier. We hope to have her do shoots for us again in the future. Thank you so much Jeannine!

Looking for a wedding photographer can be somewhat disorienting and overwhelming. There are always many options, and it's not always clear the best way to choose. You will see lots of great looking photos, but really, the photographer's job is a lot more than just point-and-shoot. You want them to make your lives easier amidst the chaos, you want help setting a clear timeline so things run smoothly, and to know they are focused on your priorities. This is why we cannot recommend Jeannine Marie highly enough. We had our wedding at a camp in Bemidji, Minnesota, but live in Washington, D.C., making planning a bit more difficult. From the outset, Jeannine set our minds at ease by going over every detail - including many we did not think to ask about - and clearly articulating costs, options, and what would be the best fit for us. She never tried to "upsell" us on a different product, or something more expensive. If we wanted more, she had an option for that. If we wanted less, she had an option for that, too. She simply wanted to make sure we would get photos to last a lifetime - and boy did she deliver. On the wedding day, despite some logistical challenges presented by a hairdresser who got lost on the way, Jeannine made the photo-taking part of the wedding easy. She had a clear tick tock, communicated with other vendors to coordinate shots, kept us on time, and took amazing, gorgeous photos we'll enjoy for the rest of our lives. As the night wound down, she made sure to check in with us so that we got all the group photos we wanted to get. It was a thoughtful gesture that, frankly, I had not thought about at that point as I was having too much fun. It was also emblematic of how meticulously she approached the job, and how thoughtful she was from start to finish. Again, if you're looking for a wedding photographer, just end your search and go with Jeannine Marie. She's just the best.

Choosing Jeannine as our wedding photographer was by far one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. Leading up to the day she was so patient and helpful with the fine details of the schedule for the day! It was her idea to do a first look with my Mom since I was wearing her vintage dress! The day of she was a joy and she stuck around the whole night to capture every minute of our party! She fit in with the family great and didn't bat an eye when (i assume) all the groomsmen tried to get her number :) From the previews, I know she picked the most wonderful lighting and highlighted my classy green and gold color scheme perfectly! Jeannine from Jeannine Marie Photography recently photographed my wedding and did an absolutely amazing job! The photos turned out stunning and she captured everything from the fine details to the big moments that you think of when you think of wedding pictures. She was wonderful with some of the kids who refused to smile for the camera, she was able to get some great candid shots. She was open to any suggested shots that I asked for and she also had so many great ideas and little tips, poses, posture pointers, etc. She was so easy and fun to work with. I would definitely recommend Jeannine!

Jeannine is outstanding! We knew we had spent our money in the right place in hiring Jeannine. She take stunning photographs, is organized and professional, but also very engaging and fun to work with. She was a clear communicator and excellent at providing good directions on subtle tweaks to body positioning, etc. She was great with families and friends and captured a wonderful number of more formal portraits, relaxed group shots, and heart-warming candids. I cannot recommend Jeannine highly enough.

Jeannine was fantastic for our wedding day and I'm glad that my wedding planner recommended her. She was fun to work with and all the bridesmaids loved her. She makes you feel at ease on your wedding day and she takes the time to understand your vision. On our wedding day it was going to rain when we planned to start photos but Jeannine suggested we move the first look earlier so that we didn't miss out on getting photos outside. Even though I was upset that it was raining outside (I was planning to have an outdoor ceremony) she was very supportive and told me that it was better for a little overcast because pictures tend to turn out better. She was right because the photos turned out fabulous. I absolutely love the wedding photos and can't stop looking at them. She also did this cool thing where she brought her laptop into the venue and displayed some of the photos she took during the day so that guest could see them which all my guests loved. Her photos are clean and crisp and you can tell that she loves what she's doing and good at it! She pays attention to details and does wonderfully capturing the day. The only disappointment I had was during our planning meeting a couple weeks before the wedding, I told her I wanted to do a first look with my dad. We made sure to included it in the wedding timeline and it was important for me to have it. Somehow my dad walked into the venue when my husband and I were taking pictures and my dad saw me in my dress and was unable to get that first look experience. She was able to get a quick snapshot of the moment that was cute but I wish I had that special one-on-one moment on camera with my dad. It wasn't Jeannine's fault that happened but my wedding planner and photographer should of been coordinating that properly. I would recommend that if there are "must" photos that you want on your wedding to make sure to clarify that with your photographer. Overall, it was a great day and we're so happy we had Jeannine capture our day!

I cannot say enough about how much we loved working with Jeannine. We planned our wedding long-distance, so weren't able to actually meet her until the day of our wedding, but she was so good at communicating with us, we felt 100% confident on the big day. She worked so hard to make us feel comfortable and ensure we looked relaxed and happy in our photos. Also, she did an excellent job wrangling our big families and big wedding party. And as a bonus, she was amazing at getting our four-year-old nephew to smile for photos and get to the ceremony, skillfully navigating an almost-meltdown. Jeannine gave us a teaser of photos the day after our wedding and they were absolutely gorgeous. We loved looking at them on our honeymoon.

Highly recommend Jeannine! She was AWESOME! Just an all around great person. Fun, efficient, and has an eye for getting some really cool pictures. We had our engagement pictures done by her and couldn't wait to follow up with our wedding photos. She took the time to arrange the wedding party to get some cool group shots - that weren't just "guys on this side, ladies on this". Also got a lot of comments from our wedding guests about her interaction with them, they loved her. I can't recommend her enough, do yourself a favor and hire her!

Jeannine is the best, we could not have found a better photographer. Her energy is inspiring and the pictures she takes are breath taking. She took our wedding to the next level and was so fun to share the day with. I'm in love with the photos she took and I have not even seen all of them yet. Of all the professionals we hired for our wedding Jeannine was by far the best.

Jeannine did an amazing job!! Our pictures are absolutely stunning! We had many fun shots of us and our wedding party and guests throughout the day and she also captured all of the details of the wedding beautifully. We have received so many complements from everyone who has seen our photos. We're so happy to have so many great memories captured so well from our big day, I know we will cherish them for years to come!

We are so happy with Jeannine Marie Photography! Jeannine made us feel so comfortable since the beginning of the wedding planning process. She recommended other great vendors to help us get started, she was flexible and easy to work with (even while planning from a distance), and was reliable. She truly captured the love and happiness at our wedding while being non-intrusive. She was so friendly and easy going while also keeping us on track with timing. We couldn’t be happier with the way our big day turned out and Jeannine was a big reason why.

Wow, where to begin… we were beyond impressed with everything Jeannine did for us. Not only is she an incredible photographer, she’s also down to earth, approachable and immediately makes everyone around her feel relaxed. This is the perfect combination for a wedding photographer. We had met her and saw her in action at a few of our friend’s wedding’s, and knew before we were even engaged that she HAD to be our wedding photographer. We kept our priorities in order and made sure to book with her, even before we booked our venue! It was obvious from the first time we met with her, that she was an absolute pro. Her years of experience showed immediately, when she went above and beyond her duties as a photographer. She recommended a few ceremony locations (we were still undecided at that point), and helped us pin down a realistic pre-ceremony timeline that ensured we got every photo we wanted, without ever feeling rushed or stressed during our big day. She also suggested adding a “photo race” to our reception, which neither of us had ever heard of before. It was a huge hit, and it allowed us to get a photo with every single person at the reception, which became a nice personal touch to our thank you notes. Beyond that, she worked with us to make sure we were able to find a photography package that fit within our budget. On our wedding day, things couldn’t have gone any better, thanks in part to her excellent planning, and perfect execution of everything we had discussed. We had a large wedding party, 5 different pre-ceremony photo locations, family photos and a full group shot of everyone at the ceremony on the docket for the day, and Jeannine handled it all in stride. All while cracking jokes, keeping things on schedule and making sure everyone she was around was smiling and having a great time. Working with her couldn’t have been easier. She handled everything from start to finish, and was incredibly responsive with answers to any questions that came up throughout the planning process. After the reception, she followed through right away with sending us a sneak peek of our photos, and we couldn’t believe how quickly we received the rest of the photos. Not to mention, she put together an impromptu slideshow at our reception, of photos she took earlier that day! THE PHOTOS! After we looked through all 1,100 photos she sent us, we couldn’t believe how perfectly she captured the entire day. Picking which photos to print became a challenge, because of how many great options she gave us. She did a phenomenal job of telling the story of our wedding day through a mix of candid and posed moments, catching small details of the décor and food we chose, and most importantly, she made sure we were looking our best in the photos we’ll have on display for the rest of our lives. We received a lot of compliments from friends and family on reception decor, and the doughnuts we served for dessert, but by far, our guests were most impressed with Jeannine. Throughout our entire wedding day, and to this day, people have continually told us how much fun she was to be around, how her passion for photography really shows, and that our photos are “unreal,” “gorgeous,” the “best wedding photos they’ve ever seen.” We couldn’t agree more. If it’s not obvious by now, we highly recommend working with her, and will continue to use her for any photography needs. Thanks for everything Jeannine, you’re truly a rock star! Theresa & Adam

I used to work in the wedding business (owned Cici Events) and decorated thousands of weddings the eight years it was open. I knew that Jeannine was well respected and an awesome photographer - and had met her multiple times at events, so when I needed some lifestyle photos (photos for website) for my daycare/preschool center, Tierra Encantada, using her was a no brainer. BEST. DECISION. EVER. I had used two other photographers for lifestyle photos at the daycare previously and they turned out okay, but nothing spectacular (only a few usable ones). Jeannine took the time to chat on the phone before, review all the shots I wanted to get, and she got them ALL - and more. Plus she was reasonably priced - and had the fastest turn around I've ever experienced. If you want someone that makes sure she gets every image you want - and makes sure they are all perfect, then definitely use her! Strongly recommend!
