WEDDINGS
The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is located on a twelve-acre park, overlooking the sea that President Kennedy loved and the city that launched him to greatness. Say "I do" with an intimate crowd of 30 or a larger celebration for up to 300 guests.
After reviewing all of this information, we recommend scheduling a meeting with a JFK Library Event Coordinator. Tours of the rental spaces are available from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday. The Library can place a soft hold on a date for up to two weeks with no financial commitment. During this time, Gourmet Caterers will prepare an initial catering proposal for you to review. Once you are ready to move forward the Library requires a 50% non-refundable deposit and signed paperwork to confirm the date. The final balance is due two weeks before your wedding date.
Please call the Special Events Department at 617-514-1582 for further information. We look forward to working with you on this momentous occasion!
Wedding Ceremonies
I.M. Pei’s iconic nine-story glass Pavilion is the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding ceremony. The Pavilion can accommodate up to 300 guests for a ceremony and cocktail hour. The Pavilion is open to the public during the day, but ready for guests starting at 6pm. We recommend a ceremony start time no earlier than 6:15pm. The celebration can begin right after you say “I do” with a seamless transition into cocktail hour.
Wedding Receptions
With towering windows overlooking the city skyline Smith Hall is a blank canvas ideal for a fully customized reception. Smith Hall can accommodate up to 300 guests with a full size dancefloor. Smith Hall also features an attached terrace, where guests can take in the sunset and sweeping city views.

Our daughter and son-in-law's choice to host their wedding at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Library and Museum was a brilliant decision. The venue allows you to have a ceremony and reception in one place, but in two spaces. The pavilion is stunning, cathedral-like, and Smith Hall turned into a beautiful, warm, fun place for dinner and dancing. The staff were exceedingly helpful and enjoyable and always of good humor. They made it fun! We considered many of the typical Boston-area venues for a wedding/reception to be held in one place; this was far and away the best place for us
I wish we could give more than 5 stars! The JFK Library is the most stunning venue, and the space is truly one you can make your own. And the staff is beyond compare. From months of planning to the night off, Keelin, Lee and the entire team at JFK were the absolute best to work with. They made the entire process seamless, and were so so so helpful every step of the way. The absolute best wedding venue in Boston!
Everything and More!
After getting engaged, like most brides to be, my mind was consumed with wedding planning. Where, when and how do I even begin?
My now husband and I both live and work in the city of Boston MA so I knew it had to be a city wedding. I dove right in to the venue search, hoping to find something that spoke to what I was envisioning. After looking at multiple venues, I couldn’t help but feel that they all seemed the same to me and didn’t have that look I wanted. I really wanted a place that was truly unique, a new experience both for us and our guests. Then I heard that John F. Kennedy Library and Museum had announced they were going to start hosting weddings, and I knew I needed to see the space. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was it! This is where I will get married. Since the announcement was new, I was able to book it for this year and ended up being the second wedding EVER to take place here.
On October 21, 2017 the sun was shining and the weather was perfect (hard to get in New England) and it was my wedding day! Like all brides, you can only pray that the day will go off without a hitch. I can honestly say that it did!
This venue was everything I had hoped and dreamed of for my wedding day and then some! The staff were nothing less than top notch, on point and kind. Gourmet Catering who works exclusively with the JFK Library was also incredible. Not only was the food amazing their waitstaff was organized and competent and never skipped a beat.
If you are a bride or groom looking for a venue that is absolutely stunning, unique, honorable and the epitome of perfection please consider the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum . It was everything I had dreamed and more!
I would give 10 stars if I had the option!!
All the best,
Julie
