César and Jessica were both amazing! We first wanted to work with them after seeing their incredible photos on JoVon’s page. They did both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day pictures and were so much fun to work with! We couldn’t be happier with our photos!

David from JoVon was amazing. I inquired with him for my wedding during a busy season and he at first forgot to get back to me. I wound up running into him at another wedding and told him what had happened. He went out of his way and offered to do a free engagement shoot for my fiancé and I which I did not expect and was extremely generous. Not only that but he did a full almost 2 hours and had us change outfits. I was blown away by his kindness and how much he went out of his way to make it up to us. His pictures came out amazing and we love every single one. I can’t recommend him enough!

Ethan from Jovon Photography was by far my favorite vendor through and through. Not only is he wildly talented and professional, but he is so passionate about his work to the point you can find him hanging upside or dodging cars in busy traffic to get the perfect shot. He made our day so special, soo fun to work with as he has a rockstar personality, and gave us the gift of such beautiful memories to last a lifetime. Request Ethan, book Ethan, you are doing it all wrong if Ethan is not shooting your wedding. :)

We love every single one of our photos. David is a god as well of the rest of the JoVon team whoever you choose you can’t go wrong. We loved working with David, Pat and Brian my god they had us laughing the whole time! We love you all and wish we could do it all over again it was such a fun time. They are amazing!

The entire JoVon team was such a treat to work with for my November wedding! Dan, Sonny, Carlos, and JoVon worked together seamlessly to make sure we got amazing photos and videos. I can’t say enough how unbelievable JoVon is! We worked with David, Ethan, Wolsey and Rob. They not only knew all the amazing spots at our venue but were efficient and dedicated. I can’t say enough amazing things about this team and this vendor. They will work with you and capture all the special moments!

Beginning was great but unfortunately a horrible experience at the end. Dan is an incredible photographer. The company fell short on the videography. They lost footage during our entire chuppah ceremony. They tried hide that they lost the footage and when we realized it was missing they didn't care. The owner, who I was working with, didn't call us - we had to call him. He wasn't apologetic and barely tried to fix the problem. He was very rude and argumentative. Despite the photography being great, I would not work with him. He does not actually care when things go wrong and does try to sneakily add money onto your bill.

My husband and I are blown away from our “Sneak Peak” photos and highly recommend! We cannot wait to see our video and the rest of our photos soon! They were so professional and amazing! They knew our venue and how to get the most perfect photos without hesitation! They were perfectionist! We are so lucky to have used them and cannot wait to see the full end results! We highly recommend using them!! Thank you for making us remember our perfect night! Please use them!

Cesar was extremely professional. Definitely the best photographer we have ever worked with. He came an hour early to prepare for the night. You can tell that he loves his job and it shows in the quality of his work.

Where do I even begin? I just got married on Saturday, and I think I may now love David more than my husband. My husband feels the same way about him too though. He was our photographer and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I could not recommend him enough! He has the best the energy, sense of humor, and creative visions. We even FaceTimed with him at midnight the night before our wedding for a last minute pow wow. His whole team was amazing as well (Pat and Diana on video, Sonny and Dylan on photo with David). Pat is so funny too and he was the only one - not my maid of honor, party planner, nor bridal attendant - who was able to help me tie my dress! I cannot wait to see all the photos and videos they took.

I can't say enough good things about David. First I'll start by saying, I'm so glad we did our engagement shoot with him. Through the engagement shoot we really got to know him, which built tremendous confidence, trust, and excitement for our wedding day. David is such a nice person, funny, and exactly what you want and need on your wedding day. He keeps the schedule to a T, and packs everything in so nothing is missed. His photography is unparalleled. My husband and I had the absolute best time ever on our wedding day, yes of course due to friends, family, venue, and duh, we just got married! We used JoVon for photo and video. They came recommended by Carlos. We met with David and instantly hit it off. We knew from our initial meeting we were in good hands. He was so personable which was huge for us, because we are both so awkward with pictures and knowing we were going to be with this person for 10 hours meant we needed someone who could keep us laughing and also help us get the best shots. We did an engagement shoot first, and had the best time. He helped us pick the location, and made sure to really maximize our time. We got such a wide variety of shots and were so excited at how smooth and fun our experience was. Flash forward to the wedding and the team David put together was outstanding. Jovon is simply the best at what they do! From the immediate planning process and engagement shoot we knew we made the right choice. On the day of our wedding they were so organized and helpful, they had so much fun with the bridal party while making everyone feel comfortable. They were incredibly creative as to where and what photos to take. At the reception every single photo myself or my husband were in someone was right behind us to snap it, yet we never felt overwhelmed by that! The quality of every photo, our video trailer, full video and are album are absolutely the best! And not to mention they were so quick to get everything back to us. Just WOW! I can't even describe how absolutely beautiful our wedding photos came out! Daniel and Ethan were so professional and nice. They knew how to get the most amazing shots. We cannot recommend jovon enough. Once we knew David and his team were available for our date we booked them immediately & it was the best decision ever. Not only were they incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and efficient, they were also such a fun group of people to hang out with on one of the most important days of our lives. Our family loved them & couldn’t believe how awesome they were. David & Sonny for photos were the perfect pair, as we only have some previews for now (which we had before we even got home from the venue the night of) we can’t wait to get them back, David is a phenomenal artist with great ideas/visions while Sonny was always somewhere in the background capturing plenty of shots which we are sure will be the funny loving candids which will give us a perfect mix of romantic/dramatic with just typical us. We used Cesar and Jess for all of our photos from the engagement shoot to the wedding day. They were so meticulous and professional. I was following JoVon on Instagram for two years prior because David shot my friend Krystal’s wedding and absolutely loved how their wedding photos came out. I knew when it was time to plan my wedding, JoVon was going to be the solid choice. David was communicative from start to finish. We just had our engagement shoot yesterday with David from JoVon and I cannot express it enough how AMAZING he is. JoVon did my cousin's wedding for photography and videography which is why we decided to book with them. David comes highly recommended and I would gladly recommend him to everyone and anyone. The second we booked with JoVon, I couldn't wait to have our engagement shoot just to work with David! In our first initial meeting, he had so many great ideas of where we can go for our wedding day as well as the engagement shoot. He really is so helpful. David made us feel so comfortable from the second we met with him. He knew all the great spots to go to to get awesome pictures. He would show us the shots as we were walking to our next location. My Fiancé and I were SO impressed with the outcome of each photo. My favorite thing about David is that he will literally get onto the FLOOR to get the shot and that is the kind of energy I am looking for. He sent us a bunch of great photos within a couple of hours or so to preview them and I still can't stop looking at them. I cannot recommend David from JoVon enough. He has great work ethic, dedication, and a fun personality. He will make you feel so comfortable. We cannot wait for our wedding day to work with him again!!!

Brian was our main photographer, he was very personable and fun to work with! The day of, the team worked great together! Brian and Gabriel were the photographers, with Michelle as an assistant. Carlos was a fantastic videographer with Ray as his shooting assistant. They captured every picture perfect moment through every angle incredibly!

Do not recommend

While we recommend all our other vendors we can't recommend Jovon because of their poor quality product and professionalism. The past 14 months have been a nightmare trying to get photos and videos and nearly full time job dealing with them. The most significant issues were with their rude and unprofessional editing teams and our second photographer, Nathan, who was assisting Sonny. We were very clear that we were uncomfortable with having so many kissing photos. Nearly all of the preview photos were kissing, meaning we were limited in options for our thank you notes & didn't feel comfortable sharing them. Jovon became non-responsive and provided inaccurate information as to timelines for photos, trailers or videos. I was told the trailer would take 4-6 weeks from the time the form was provided. I followed up after 6 weeks and was then told 6-8 weeks. We got the trailer 11 weeks after form was provided. Inaccurate information and moving deadlines was a theme over the last 14 months. When we received out full set of photos, we saw Nathan is in the background of photos with his camera hanging around his neck and explains why we only have photos of half the room & guests despite paying for 2 photographers. We displayed wedding photos of parents and grandparents but in our full set of photos provided by Jovon, only my side's photos were included. When asked to look for the my wife's family, the editing department said it didn't exist. I found out after talking to Lisa at Jovon, that the photo did in fact exist, but they do not provide all the photos taken at the wedding. Only photos THEY THINK are best are provided, not necessarily what you ask for in your worksheet. Jovon ultimately provided us with the actual full set of photos, but not until the incident with my wife's parents' and grandparents' wedding photos. Jovon paused the production of our album and took care of adding both family sets to the book at no additional charge, which we greatly appreciated; however, the whole situation should have been avoided. Our video, even 14 months later, is the biggest complaint even though we filled out each form in great detail. The video had the wrong wedding date, did not show full 1st dance, was missing the maids of honor coming down the aisle and my FIL's complete speech. It showed faces not rings during the ring exchange and excluded audio of personal vows during the first look. We provided the edit form back 4 days after the initial video with time stamped comments. The revision was sent back to us with almost none of the changes made besides the date. When challenged, they sent me to the video department who sent the raw clips to see if I could find the footage that I was asking for in the edit form. I went through the clips and sent them detailed information of what I found & how they could find it with clip names and timestamps from their files to add to the video. The next revision included only a couple of the clips I spent the time to find and were added as if they were just dropped in with no editing. There's a distinct break between the first 2 lines of my FIL's speech and the rest and you can see transitions. After 1 month talking to the video department, Jovon claimed he'd watch the video and get back to me, but we never heard back. Called a few months ago and found out he considered our video closed and thought everything had been resolved. The product we now have is still incomplete and missing key moments from our wedding.

We just had our engagement shoot last night with DAVE from JoVon and he was absolutely incredible! Dave and his crew did my best friends wedding for photography and video back on New Year's Eve and he was so much fun and professional that I told my fiance we have to get this guy to do our wedding (we got engaged a month later.) My friend gave great advice and said not only is DAVE one of the best in the business, but make sure you pick someone who will make you feel comfortable, and who will be someone who you'd like to be around/hang out with all day (of the wedding.) #nostress. We put everything in Dave's hands for the engagement pictures and he did not dissapoint. He knew every spot and "hidden gem" to get incredible pictures and lightning. I don't know how he does it but my fiance and I were both seriously WOWED! He also kept showing us pictures he had taken when we moved to different spots so we got to already have an idea of how it all looked. I know nothing about photography, but every image, pose, backdrop was just wonderful! He also made us feel very comfortable and helped with poses (which we would never have done ourselves) and took the time to really show us and fix things, even if it took 3 or 4 tries. DAVE is patient, funny and knowledgeable about everything wedding and photography related. He also is the type of person who even after a few meetings, could be someone you've known most of your life hah. He was great at getting our dog in some of the pictures too, our dog had as much fun as we did. He's also so creative on the spot and added in unexpected spots and shots on the fly. He took great sunset photos on the water and despite the flies attacking all 3 of us, moved quickly and talked us through it and they are some of my favorites of the ones we saw so far. I should also point out that we finished the shoot after 9pm and later that evening he already had teasers for us!! So awesome! Cannot recommend Dave from JoVon enough for his work, work ethic and dedication. We're excited for the wedding!

To JoVon, Dan and the entire team from my SURPRISE wedding: I am at a true loss for words (which I know is probably surprising to you). I have only seen a couple of shots the guys showed me on the camera at certain points throughout the night - and you have already made all of my dreams come true. BEYOND ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS!!!! While I think of the right words to thank you, I just had to at least send you a note telling you how grateful I am. Not only that, but your team is just such a well oiled machine. They took everything you specified to them from my worksheets and just made it happen. On top of that, they are the kindest, most communicative group, and they work so well together. And you all made it so much fun. You are very lucky to have such a dedicated team who truly cares so much about what they do! I cannot thank you enough for your patience, hard work, and excitement, which made me even more excited about everything than I already was. I know this takes time, and I will certainly aim to be patient but I am SO EXCITED to see what you guys put together and I know you captured my wedding to perfection. I will just be waiting on the edge of my seat over here 😂 Thank you for making the whole process so easy and seamless from the first moment. Jovon has a stellar reputation and proceeded to exceed my expectations. The team was super friendly and professional, and made our special day extra-special. I couldn’t ask for a better photographer/team. I very much look forward to working with Jovon again in the future.

David and Ethan left our whole family in awe of their talent! They were amazing from start to finish, fun to have around, so professional — I don’t usually feel comfortable in front of the camera but they both made it so easy. We got our wedding gallery this weekend and I cannot stop bragging about my pictures… they are truthfully THE BEST! 1000/10

I wish I could scream on the mountaintops for every bride to hire the incredible team at Jovon photography. We were lucky enough to secure David as our main photographer and his creativity, skill, passion, art and warmth helped make this day and this photos perfection. Brides his only goal is that you are happy at The end of the day. I had no problem jumping in and collaborating with him on shots, 1000% taking his lead even if I didn’t understand the process and giving him a little sarcastic banter back and forth that helped keep a genuine feel to even the most posed photo. And then there was his assistant Ethan, 2nd photographer sonny, main videographer pat and videographer assistant Ashley. The crew of all crews. They all worked together at each moment to get the magic captured. They bounced ideas off each other. They worked together for perfect posing and lighting. They all had a chance to create shots and moments through their skill and vision. they made each person feel confident, beautiful and such a part of this special day. At some points during the day, with my groom and our bridal party and this crew it felt like a group of good friends hanging out taking pics. Oh and did I mention they all legit stopped traffic on a main road to get us out in the middle for incredible shots? I literally could talk all day about them but think each bride needs to themselves a favor and invest in Jovon because they TRULY are each invested in you.

My husband and I had the most incredible experience with the JoVon team! I met with the owner, Mr. JoVon, to discuss the vision I had regarding photography and videography for our wedding day. We came up with a package that worked best for us, discussed an estimated timeline of the wedding day, and he showed me samples of different photographers' work - I fell in love with Sonny's pictures as his style and eye matched what I was looking for. We did an engagement shoot with Sonny in Dumbo. Sonny made the shoot fun and adventurous! My husband and I still talk about how much fun we had that day. The pictures are BEAUTIFUL and really captured us as a couple and our relationship. Lisa at the JoVon office sent us paperwork to fill out - a "shot list" - so that the team knew ahead of time what we wanted captured for our big day. Lisa always responded in a timely manner. I spoke to Sonny on the phone before the wedding to highlight what the priority shots were. While Sonny and I were both concerned about the tight timeline we had for the wedding, everything worked out in the end. Sonny, Pat (main videographer), and the rest of the team on our wedding day were an absolute pleasure to work with. They had us, our bridal party, family, and friends laughing all day. I cried from laughing so hard multiple times! Sonny and Pat had beautiful ideas and suggestions for shots while also making sure they covered what was on our shot list. Sonny checked in with me often as some things out of our control threw off our already tight timeline to make sure they got the shots we really wanted. The team was creative, professional, adaptable, accommodating, and kind from start to finish. Even when Sonny and Pat were technically done for the day; Sonny saw my husband's side of the family gathering to take a large family shot on their own and he went back to get his equipment to take the photo. Sonny recently sent us our sneak peak photos and they are absolutely STUNNING. I love every single shot that I can tell it's going to be hard to pick favorite pictures for our prints and albums. We are so excited to see all of the photos as well as seeing the video edit! Run, don't walk, to book Sonny and JoVon for your next event! You won't be disappointed!

Best Photographer and Videographer Ever!!!! We got married on 10/30/22 at The NYIT de Servesky Mansion and they were raving about JoVon Photography. We reached out to them and from that very moment they were a pleasure to work with. We need to give a very Special shoutout to Cesar!!!! We were so happy with the work David, Ethan, Rob and the rest of the JoVon team did on our wedding day. They were on-time, diligent, and captured every moment we were looking for at our wedding. David's experience and vision aligned with what we were looking for, and as a plus he was very aware of the great spots to take photos both at our church and at our venue. It was clear that he and his team had done their research ahead of time Dating back to even before the wedding, David was willing to travel out of state for our Engagement shoot. We would absolutely recommend working with JoVon and David for anyone who is planning any event!!

David and his team helped lead a spectacular day from beginning to end for me and my wife on September 24th. We hired JoVon for photography and videography, and they were amazing. David, Ethan, Rob and the whole team were on-time, professional, diligent, and really captured every detail that we could have asked for on our big day. As photographer for 50 years I can say firstly that their quality and skill of taking pictures is top notch. Secondly I have never felt with such pleasant people . They were always eager to please and during coven rescheduled gladly. On the day of the wedding the 5 in staff who photographed our daughters wedding were all The Best. The final product of the albums and video were better than we hoped for. I would recommend them without reservation.

We are blessed to have had Jovon’s team of Donald, Gabriel, and Carlos. Going above and beyond to capture both intimate and distant photos/videos from the most special day of our lives made choosing them one of our best decisions. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, our expectations were exceeded, and our questions were answered. Unlike some other teams we considered, it was clear how passionate our team is about what they do with the quality of care and attention to detail they gave us. The video team of Raul, Kyle, Zane, and Chris were also flexible throughout our never-ending list of requests to give us the wedding video of our dreams. After the wedding passes, the photos and videos are the only memories we can use to remember this special day and our team captured the best moments of our wedding. Lastly, I’d like to thank Lisa Soto who was also patient, understanding, and communicative with the behind the scenes work to planning every detail. Our wedding would not be complete without her!

Avoid! Delayed the bride, made us a full hour late. No family photos. Showed up with creepy staff day of wedding, more interested in hitting on bridesmaids than doing their job. Photos we got were terrible, didn't bother ordering an album. Very unprofessional. Biggest regret of the wedding

Jaclyn & Marco and their team were absolutely incredible! So professional and fun to work with. Made taking photos feel enjoyable and captured such beautiful moments. Not only did I have the pleasure to have Jaclyn be our main photographer but for our engagement photos as well which came out gorgeous. Marco was my husband’s main photographer prior to ceremony and he can’t stop raving about him! Made the entire experience a breeze. I can’t wait to see our wedding photos!!

David and his team from JoVon were an absolute no brainer when we planned our wedding! David is an artist when it comes to the photography and nailed every single shot we wanted for our engagement shoot and wedding day! Just from teasers we are blown away! We also had Rob as our main videographer and he was amazing! Very patient with us and making sure he captured every moment for our big day! JoVon photography has been amazing! My wife and I were married at the Pearl River Hilton in May of 2022. We booked JoVon in 2021 and had our engagement shoot soon after we booked. We didn't love the style of our original shoot and JoVon Photography allowed us to select a new photographer, redo the engagement shoot etc. with no fees or anything, truly amazing customer service and experience. Cesar and team were absolutely amazing throughout our engagement shoot and Wedding. Cesar is truly an artist and his photos were deliberate, creative and really amazing. He captured so much of our wedding and of guests. Additionally, JoVon did our videography and our primary shooter was Carlos. He was so amazing the whole day and people couldnt stop talking about how engaging and invested Cesar and Carlos were to get the right shots, angles etc. without ever feeling in the way. Cannot recommend them enough!

When we started looking for a photographer for our wedding, Jovon was the name that was recommended by everyone. Our team of David (lead photographer), Gabe (second photographer) and Gabby (assistant) far exceeded our expectations. David and Gabby met us at my mom's house where we were getting ready and immediately started to capture every aspect of the day. Gabe met my (now) husband at the hotel to get pictures of the groomsmen getting ready as well. They all were professional and friendly. David is a character in the best way possible! He is cracking jokes, giving directions, contorting himself in weird angles, and trying creative things to get the perfect shot for your day. It was a lot of pictures, and they never said, "no," to any ideas or combinations. They kept their energy up from start to finish, and we have SO MANY amazing photos that narrowing it down for our photo album feels impossible. What an awesome problem to have. Jovon was fast and efficient in getting our photos edited and printed after the wedding. We expected to be waiting at least a month before we were able to get our pictures, but they were complete within 3 weeks. We cannot recommend David, Gabe, Gabby, and the entire Jovon team enough! Many of our friends plan on booking them for their future weddings. The entire experience was excellent.

The most amazing vendor you will ever hire for your wedding. David and his team went above and beyond to get the most gorgeous pictures of us even in the rain! I can’t say enough great things about David, Pat and the entire team! They made me feel so calm throughout the entire day, and they are such great people to have apart of your special day. The photos came out absolutely amazing, better than I could’ve dreamed of. Don’t hesitate to use Jovon, they are worth every penny!

When we booked Jovon for my daughters wedding, we thought, based on reviews and recommendations Jovon was a solid choice. We were so wrong. There were more pictures of the bride and groom kissing than there were pictures where you could actually see there faces. Family portraits were minimal. Outdoor pictures were too far away to actually see the people in the photos. There were pictures that should have been no brainers that were not taken. Things were very rushed. They came with a large team and we really thought things were going to be captured. When the proofs came in, there was no color correction or centering. When the album proofs came in, it was the same situation- no color corrections or centering. We did have video. It was the worst wedding video I have seen. We are 2-1/2 years out and we have finally received the video. The first completed version had the brides name spelled incorrect, one usher walking down the aisle twice with the same bridesmaid, and more shots of the still photos than live video. It was as if a middle school child had put together the video. My son-in-law asked for the footage and edited the video and gave it back to Jovon. When we received the video back, it was still not correct. The whole process was exhausting, Would I recommend them? Absolutely not! There are many options out there, Continue looking.

We wanted to send our biggest thanks to the entire JoVon team who helped make our the best day of our lives! We all worked so well together throughout the day, and our photographer Dan had such expertise in making sure the lighting and angles were top notch, which made the day seamless, and not to mention, SO MUCH FUN! We also want to give a huge shoutout to the video team. Carlos was the life of the party and we absolutely loved him. Dan was so wonderful in making sure every photo was captured, especially before the ceremony. He is the epitome of a true professional photographer, with so much kindness and patience. We feel so lucky to have been able to work with him on our special day. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with, and we’re so incredibly grateful to have worked with them all. For our wedding with worked with David as our main photographer and Ethan and Gabriel as part of his team. They were INCREDIBLE. I am not a picture person and David kept everything so light and easy, and his work speaks for itself. He even sent me some teaser photos the morning after the wedding. I can't recommend them enough! Throughout the entire process from booking to engagement shoot to wedding they made everything so easy. Their communication was amazing, and everyone was so nice! I absolutely would recommend using them for any photography needs.

I worked with David from JoVon Photography, and I can not say enough amazing things about him and his team! From start to finish the communication through the whole planning process has been same day. Any question no matter how silly or small it was David himself who would personally would call me. The vendor as a whole was the easiest group of people to work with. The day of my wedding his whole team made my family and loved ones feel so comfortable in front of the camera and had us laughing the whole time.
