Kate is not only INCREDIBLY talented, she is so unbelievably sweet, hard working, detail oriented and won't quit until the end product is beyond perfection!!!! I can't even begin to express how amazing both our Engagement and actual Wedding photos turned out. Kate has a niche for exuding so much sheer happiness and emotion via her photography and can make the most unwilling smile and laugh endlessly!!! Kate honestly was my absolute favorite to work with throughout the entire process. And not only did she provide such above par pictures, she went above and beyond by taking the time to get to know each of us, made sure to cover each and every one of our most important details and successfully created imagery that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. My wedding was everything that I could have ever hoped for and imagined. And Kate Saler had a lot to do with it. Not only is she an amazingly talented photographer, and captured our day perfectly, but she was so incredible to work with. I have to say, my wedding was everything I dreamed of and more, and Kate captured it!!! There were so many amazing moments that documented that I otherwise would have missed. She did the most beautiful work on all the shots that I requested and even did some extras of decorations and favors. She is so gifted at highlighting even the smallest of details. Kate was a joy to work with and treated my husband and I like family. We were so pleased with our photos and her professionalism. Kate went out of her way when my dad died exactly two months after my wedding to send me photos to cherish. She is a sweet heart and really listens to your vision of what you want and need from your wedding photos.

Kate is absolutely amazing! We got married at the Inn at St John's in Plymouth, which is the place I have always wanted to get married in. I wanted the perfect venue, perfect vendors.. And of course the perfect guy. I obsessed over every detail down to the cocktail napkins, so of course I wanted the pictures to capture every detail of every moment. Working was Kate was an absolute dream, not only did she capture every beautiful moment but even surprised us with shots my husband and I didn't get to see with our own eyes that we got to experience through her photos. Her attention to detail before, during and after the wedding made us feel very comfortable and confident that the day was going to run smoothly. She was patient, kind and full of positive energy, which was exactly what we needed on our big day. We have received a ton of compliments on our photos, even with people who did not attend our wedding saying they could feel the energy in the room and love that surrounded us on that day just by how she captured each moment. It was the best investment we made during the wedding process and couldn't be happier to continue our relationship by having her photograph our first baby who is due in February.

My husband and I couldn't have picked a better photographer! We didn't have a videographer for our wedding, and looking back we didn't need one--every emotion is displayed in our pictures. The ceremony was so meaningful with live music, speakers and laughter--all of this came rushing back to us when we got our pictures back, we were beyond words. Everything looks so timeless and elegant. Kate is very patient and understands the stress & joy wedding day can bring to a bride & groom. If it wasn't for her, I don't know how I would've made a detailed timeline like that for the vendors to follow. She is extremely detail oriented and professional. My husband and I are so glad that we picked Kate to photograph our wedding and shoot our engagement photos! We and our families have so many beautiful photographs and prints around our homes now. My husband and I were coming from out of state to get married back in MI where we are originally from. Kate was great at keeping us organized and was able to meet around our hectic schedules when we would come back for wedding planning and to take our engagement photos. She scouted out our venues ahead of time since they were places where she had not shot weddings before, so she was prepared with a lot of wonderful places to capture beautiful photos. She kept us on track during out wedding day with the timeline that we had discussed ahead of time, and she made sure that all of the family group photos and special request shots we wanted were completed. Kate is extremely talented and we would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to have beautiful memories of their wedding day!

Kate shot my wedding and has done a number of smaller sessions for me over the years. She is extremely talented and hard working and goes above and beyond to give every client a wonderful experience and beautiful photos. I don't know anyone who is more dedicated to doing excellent work and to meeting and exceeding expectations. If you are looking for a photographer that will A) work with you B) follow your schedule C) make you look fantastic on your wedding day and D) take photos that get positive, unsolicited feedback from all of your friends and family YEARS after you've been married than look no further than Kate Saler. You're probably thinking - well all these reviews are positive, how can I trust you? I used to be a wedding DJ for many years and I can tell you I met a TON of photographers. Kate is by far the best for more reasons than just her photos. You have to remember when you are hiring anyone for your wedding (DJ, photographer, planner, and etc.) you need someone that has a good personality, will work with you, work with your crazy family and party, especially when they are drunk, and do their job without you having to worry about it. Kate can do all that no problem. In fact, she doesn't even break a sweat while doing this. Now, regarding the photos, words cannot describe how good she is at capturing the moment. She is so good she makes you think that you can take pictures yourself, you can't, don't try. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Kate makes it look incredibly easy, trust her to take the pictures, don't go rogue. I've been married 3 years, happily, and I put photos from our wedding everywhere (including my office, I'm a teacher, FYI). When students come in they always comment on two things 1) how beautiful my wife looks and 2) how cute we look together. Granted, my wife and I look cute together as a couple, but Kate really was able to photograph that in the BEST way possible. Plus, it's been three years people, we still get compliments. PLEASE trust me and the other reviewers, we are NOT paid, we have had the pleasure of working with Kate and it was truly a pleasure. Book her now because she's booked. Trust me, I was a DJ I met a lot of photographers, she's the best. Her portfolio should speak for itself.

I cannot thank you enough for everything that you did for us yesterday!! I still can’t get over how perfect the day was, and we have you to thank for making it run so smoothly! From the very beginning you have been SUCH A PLEASURE to work with!! You have aways responded to me immediately for even the smallest questions or needs. You helped us set up a timeline for our entire day, which all other vendors were able to work off and around. You made my life so much easier and stress free because you were always communicating to me what was happening and I never even had a second to worry. You also have so much experience that you were able to talk to me about different options until we decided on a plan that we were happy with. From start to finish on the actual day you were attentive, listened to what we liked and found the perfect locations for us to get some great shots, and you had fun with us which was the best part! You talked to us the entire time making us feel comfortable to just be natural and enjoy our day! You were so organized, learned all of my families names, gathered groups, and owned every situation while staying professional and sweet! You were not even phased when people were requesting big group shots that were not originally planned, and I REALLY appreciate that. You ran around getting the right lighting and lenses, and checked in with us throughout the night to make sure you were capturing everything that we wanted! Everyone at the wedding was talking about how great you were, and my family all made a point to tell me the next day how happy they were that we had you as the photographer. We could NOT be happier with our decision to have you capture the memories of such a special day in our lives. You are so talented in your work, and I am SO happy for you that you are doing something that you love. I know the job isn’t easy at times, but its definitely your calling. Eric was also amazing!!! We instantly felt comfortable around him even though we had never met before. He was so helpful with the ties, boutonnieres, pocket squares, etc. You guys have such a great relationship together, and we could tell right away that you two make a GREAT team! He was ALL UP in my dance floor which was amazing, and I am so excited to see some action shots. The boys had tons of fun with him while they were getting ready, and everyone was commenting on what a nice guy he was. You were both great, and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Kate Saler is a phenomenal photographer. She was hired to shoot my wedding in February of 2013 at a new venue she had never been to. From day one, Kate was helpful in teaching me the ways of wedding planning by continuously giving insightful feedback about my wedding day plans. She made sure that we had allowed enough time for each event, including photography. Her thoroughness and dedication to my event produced the most beautiful wedding photos. I could not ask for a better photographer, and will be using her throughout my life's moments. I cannot thank Kate enough for her dedication, sincerity, and productivity throughout my wedding experience. She is the best!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Kate! Even from our very first meeting, we knew our wedding photos were in good hands. The complimentary engagement session was fun and helped to break the ice. It was a huge help for Kate, I'm sure, to get a feel for good poses for my husband and I (seeing how there is a 13" height difference!). The day of the wedding was a breeze! Kate and her assistant are kind and laidback, yet extremely professional. If we had an idea for a picture, she was more than happy to try it out and get the best shots she could get, taking advantage of lighting and the surrounding foliage. All of the pictures turned out AMAZING!!! The time and care put into her work creates photos beautiful enough for magazine covers. We could not be happier with the way they turned out and will not only cherish them for years to come, but admire the pure beauty captured in every photo.

Kate was the biggest blessing to our wedding! Her photographs look like something you'd see in a wedding magazine--she really knows how to catch the joy of the moment. She listens carefully to your vision and is not afraid to take risks (for instance, I wanted to take our engagement pictures in Detroit at venues she had never shot at-- she was so willing to give it a go and the pictures turned out wonderfully!). Also, Kate is flexible! My husband had LASIK two weeks before our engagement pictures (not recommended!) and his eyes were still bloodshot on the day of. Kate was easily reachable by phone and after some discussion (and a kind of scary picture message of my husband's eyeball), we decided to move the session back. Not only is she a great photographer with a wonderful eye for candid AND staged shots, but she is a godsend to the wedding planning process. As a pretty low-key, hands-off bride, I really had no idea as to where to start the planning of the actual day... timelines, vendors, arrival times, set up times... it was all a bit overwhelming. After hearing my strife, Kate drafted out a timeline for how she thought the day would run (including when sunset was for the optimal amount of light during the ceremony-- how clever!) and we just ran with it. I honestly would still be trying to figure that out on my own. When asked what we could say about Kate, my husband summed it up much more succinctly than I could, "She's professional and has a great eye for details." We both loved her and cannot say enough nice things about her. Highly recommended. :)

It's hard to put into words how amazing Kate is! From the very beginning before we even hired her she made sure she knew exactly what we were looking for out of a wedding photographer. What style we were going for, and what was important to us to capture on our big day. After our first meeting I knew she would be perfect for us! Included in the package we got to have an engagement photoshoot with Kate, at the location of our choosing. We picked Spicer’s Orchard in Fenton, MI for a fall photo shoot. We had so much fun, and Kate was so creative with the photos. We are so happy with how our engagement session went and how the photos turned out. We had 2 hours of time with her, and also had an outfit change half way through for another look. We also received the disk of photos with rights for printing, which was something I was looking for when searching for a photographer. I will never forget our wedding day, it rained all day long, but you would've never known. Kate came prepared with an umbrella and made sure my soon to be husband and I were comfortable shooting out in the rain. Who would’ve thought an outdoor wedding in late June would be so cold and wet, but we had a blast! Everything was perfect. She got pictures of every group we requested, and kept close eye on us the whole day/night to make sure she captured all the candid photos as well. Our night ended with a gorgeous sunset over Lake Walden and Kate ran to find us so we could capture the moment. I recommend Kate Saler to any bride looking for a sweet, caring, focused and driven wedding photographer, who will capture your day the way it should be remembered, in the style of your dreams!
