After a thorough search for our wedding photographer, my husband and I selected Kayleigh and never had a second thought after hiring her. We found Kayleigh a pleasure to work with and clicked with her immediately- she was easy going, accommodating and continually went above and beyond for us. She truly took the time to get to know us, understand our vision, and offer her suggestions. She made time around by husband and I's busy and opposite schedules (he is 9-5er and I am a night shift nurse) for multiple calls in the lead up to our wedding to make sure we had the same vision for our photos. She was not only professional, timely and was in constant communication with us, but was an absolute hoot! You can tell she loves what she does and has the greatest sense of humor. We were so nervous for the photos, but Kayleigh made us feel comfortable and truly caught the love and affection that we have for one another. More importantly, our final photos from our wedding were outstanding. We could not have been happier with the photo gallery we received from Kayleigh, and many of our guests have echoed that sentiment. They are exactly what we wanted- timeless, beautiful and tell the story of our day. We had a few very special moments and memorabilia that we had planned for my sisters who had passed away and Kayleigh was not only empathetic, but captured those moments perfectly. Book her and make sure you book far in advance! Kayleigh's services are in high demand and with good reason. We truly could not be more pleased with our decision to hire her as our wedding photographer and if we could do it again... we would! :)

Working with Kayleigh was equal parts heartbreaking, frustrating, and baffling. We trusted her to capture an important day in our life, and instead as soon as the money was transferred, she became absolutely awful to work with. In short, she disrespected us as people, our values and vision, and was completely uninterested in doing what she could to make it right. She broke my heart, wasted my time, and caused so much pain. We hired her for photography, light planning, & and furniture rentals. This is the review I wish I had read as a bride before deciding to hire her. I would not under any circumstances work with her again. The top three things I wish I knew before hiring her were: 1. She doesn’t know how to put the wishes of her clients above her own. - Communication is not one of her strengths. She was exasperated, distracted, and seemed upset to see us at every meeting. She made us feel like an inconvenience to her, not a respected client. She didn’t answer our questions directly, and instead responded with judgment and shamed us repeatedly. Multiple times I had to be very strategic about how I talked to her because I was afraid she would sabotage our wedding. - Because she didn’t listen to what was important to us, we were very disappointed when we got our pictures back. She missed many of our favorite moments and what was most important to us. Several times, she missed things we specifically asked for. Getting your wedding pictures back is supposed to be a happy thing. With Kayleigh, it was a massive headache bordering on nightmare. - In addition to missing many of our important moments, she refused to give us requested images in color, edit out blurry grass covering our family portraits, and retouch the images to include the blue sky. She wanted to charge us an additional $500 to perform basic edits, leaving us with pictures we are not satisfied with. - When things started to go south on both ends of our relationship, she offered to refund us the $500 allocated for the wedding album + USB + wooden box. However, she refused to send us this money unless we signed a contract amendment saying we would not share our negative experience with her. She still has not given us our money back or completed the photo album. 2. Everything will be late. - She showed up late to multiple meetings, to set up the day before, and on the day of the wedding. She also delivered our sneak peak, gallery, edits, and damage deposit weeks late. (It took 50 days late for the damage deposit, 24 days for the sneak peak, 133 days for the gallery, 77 days for 4 edits, and she refused to complete the additional edits we requested.) - She overbooks herself and then hides behind her busy schedule. 3. She will be your biggest stressor of your entire wedding experience and break your heart multiple times by the end of it. - We hired her to make our wedding easier – she made it so much harder in every way she could. By the end of our experience working together I couldn’t even look at my photos without being sad and angry. - She was incredibly rude to our family, our friends, and our vendors (so much so that everyone commented on how negative and difficult she was). - I seriously considered taking her to court and the only reason I didn’t is because I am tired of using my time and energy on this. She doesn’t deserve anymore of my time; she’s already done enough harm.

Kayleigh did an excellent job with our engagement and wedding photos! They are lovely and timeless. My husband and I were nervous for photos, but she made us feel comfortable and by the end we were having fun and the nerves were totally gone. In addition to being an excellent photographer, her pricing is clear and very fair. I cannot recommend Kayleigh enough!

Your photos are one of the only things you will be able to hold on to after your event is over; seeing your family members, friends, and spouse all together, filled with love. Kayleigh is professional, punctual, sends questionnaires to get to know you and your fiancé, and is in constant communication with you leading up to your big day. She gives great tips and tricks about how to make your day trouble-free and it’s not just about photos… She’s there to help with everything! Kayleigh is personable and easy to get along with. Kayleigh was the absolute right choice for our wedding day! We had a micro wedding, so it was a super chill day. Kayleigh from the moment she got there was so helpful and understanding, she made me feel much less stressed about details that just didn't matter. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help with every little detail, acting as our wedding planner basically and even helped me get out of my dress!! Lol. Her prices were reasonable, she helped with input on other wedding vendors. She respected us even when we went with a different option. She respected our family members. We recommend her to anyone who is having a micro wedding (or normal sized lol) and is looking for that laid back "I got this" attitude in a photographer. We love you Kayleigh! My husband and I planned an adventure elopement with Kayleigh in about three months time. She really made our dream elopement come alive! The photos are incredible, but the experience was even better. She provided me with different hike options after the hike I originally wanted to do was closed. She even was quick to help us out when we got an unexpected flat tire the day of! She made us feel comfortable, was easy to talk to on the hike, and was such a go with the flow person, allowing us to make the day whatever we wanted it to be. I saw photos of an additional stunning location on her site that I really wanted to visit as well. After our long hike, she agreed to take us to the second location in the afternoon, going above and beyond what we originally spoke about! I can’t express how grateful I am for this once and a lifetime experience of marrying my best friend in the most beautiful place. It was made possible by Kayleigh and we will always have amazing photos to remember it by! The photos really captured the beautiful scenery as well as intimate moments we had. I can’t wait to get my album in the mail (which is just another added bonus of what she does).

We are so thankful we found Kayleigh to photograph our wedding last summer. She was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating. She road on the back of our golf cart to get to where we wanted to take pictures, taking pictures of us while riding! She knew exactly how to get a stain out of my wedding dress that I got on the way from the ceremony to the reception sight. Finally, the photos she captured of our wedding were beautiful and everything we could have asked for. Top notch in every aspect, we highly recommend Kayleigh!

Kayleigh was the best !!! After seeing her photos of weddings in the San Juan mountains, booking her was a no brainer. My husband and I married ourselves in Ouray with our pups and close friends/family. Kayleigh fit in so well, you'd think she was part of our regular crew. I'd get married again just for the photos that she gave us for the rest of our lives.

My Husband and I hired Kayleigh for our elopement and we are so incredibly happy we did. We are grateful for everything Kayleigh did and how she went above and beyond to assist us. She was incredibly thorough on our initial call asking all the questions about what we wanted and even sparked some discussion as I wasn't totally sure what to consider and what was important. She took all the time to discuss all the options and answer any questions, and she always had suggestions for things I wasn't too sure about as well. Day of our elopement, she was on time and ready to go right at 6am! She made my husband and I feel so incredibly comfortable and we had an absolute blast, and the photos are absolutely beautiful. We are so in love with every image and look at them constantly. I hope my husband and I get the chance to do photos with Kayleigh again. I have already and will continue to recommend her to anybody looking for a photographer in her area!

Kayleigh was an amazing photographer and a great asset at our wedding. She was able to accommodate changes that needed to happen for our wedding because of Covid and was always easy to communicate with leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We truly got lucky having Kayleigh as our photographer. Not only were the pictures amazing (she captured every precious moment - from dancing to ceremony to dogs:) ), but she is all around a genuine and fun person to be around. I felt like she was another guest at our wedding rather than our photographer. I didn't want any "over the top" posed pictures (just fun, candid moments). Kayleigh captured just that. My husband and I traveled to Whitefish, MT for our wedding and Kayleigh was very easy to work/plan with from a distance. I'm truly looking forward to working with her and hanging out with her again if we're ever in the Cody area. Thank you, Kayleigh! <3

I am not a couple who was photographed by Kayleigh, but I’ve seen her work her magic first hand! I work at a hotel in the San Juans (where Kayleigh has done photoshoots with couples previously), so I am quite familiar with the scenery Kayleigh shoots in, and have never seen someone capture the beauty of newly weds in these mountains better than Kayleigh does (and she doesn’t even live here! she’s just got a great eye!). Having watched her engage with many couples, I can guarantee she is fun, comforting, creative, flexible, and accommodating; all while being extremely professional and managing her time well. In her downtime, she works endlessly on editing - so know that if your photos are taking longer than expected, it’s just because she’s putting in WAY more effort that the average photographer to achieving perfection. If you have the opportunity to work with Kayleigh, definitely don’t pass her up.

Kayleigh was absolutely phenomenal to work with! We eloped (with family) in the Tetons in Oct 2021 and were familiar with the area and where we wanted our ceremony to be held but didn’t have any idea who to go to for hair, make up, flowers, cake, etc. Kayleigh had recommendations for everything which made it way less stressful to plan from across the country. She was extremely responsive and our calls were always a delight. When I broke my foot 6 weeks before the wedding, she took it in stride and ensured me everything would be wonderful. The day of, she was amazing at wrangling everyone together and keeping everyone on task. She even helped me scoot my way down to an overlook for our ceremony. Her pictures have turned out stunning and I am always getting comments from others about the beauty of the them. We absolutely loved working with Kayleigh and hope to do so again in the future!

Great wedding vendors are worth their weight in gold and Kayleigh is just that! We had a phenomenal experience with her start to finish! She was very detail oriented, great to communicate with, helpful, and caring before our wedding. The day of our wedding (which was also her birthday) she took amazing photographs and had fun with us! It’s so much easier to take photos with someone who easily interacts and helps you. We got our sneak peeks and gallery back in the expected time. Overall it was a wonderful experience! She’s awesome!

I found kayleigh to be extremely helpful with a surprise engagement shoot. i was from out of town, she researched winter hikes with waterfalls, easily accessible, and beautiful. a narrow needle to thread in my opinion. while we were from out of town she was great to communicate with and made the process simple and she captured our moment. our wedding is small and we have a family member shooting that so that’s why we only used Kayleigh for the engagement. next big adventuring event that needs capturing, she’s first on my list to call.

I found Kayleigh through social media long before I even got engaged and I knew I wanted her to shoot my *future* wedding. When we got engaged, I called Kayleigh right away and told her our date. She was very flexible with making that day work for her which really impressed us. She had a huge wedding the following day where she was supplying a lot of the rentals too, and still agreed to shooting our wedding! She was understanding of our budget and offered different ways to cut costs, as well. We had plans of an adventure elopement but to include our family, had to scale back and do a mini adventure elopement. We also really wanted some pictures at the courthouse and while that was not in Kayleigh’s “expertise” she killed the in-city shots as well as the shots in the mountains. I am so thankful that Kayleigh was willing to do our wedding and am so pleased with the way ALL of our photos turned out. I would also love to comment on the turnover time it took to get our photos. I can’t remember the exact timeline we were to expect our final gallery, but I felt like it was super quick. I have nothing to compare that to, but we got married June 11 and had our gallery within the first two weeks of August. If you are in the market for an incredible, hard-working, and dedicated photographer, hire Kayleigh. She will exceed your expectations by a long shot!!

I can not say enough good things about Kayleigh. I knew from the second I saw her work she was the one for us. From the beginning, to the end, and everything in between Kayleigh was there every step of the way. She made sure our elopement planning went smooth and seamlessly. Where do I begin? Life has a funny way of bringing people into your life, and I am sure glad it does. After multiple rescheduled weddings due to covid my husband and I decided to just do the damn thing with our parents and siblings over Christmas of 2020. My parents had recently relocated to Cody, Wyoming and we thought “what a beautiful place to begin our lives together.” While searching for a photographer in the area I stumbled upon Kayleigh. Not only is she from our home state of Texas, she has the most amazing vision and skill when it comes to capturing love in a photo. I knew she was the only photographer for us, and I asked her what day she was available and booked her for a Tuesday. Best decision ever. Not only do we have the most amazing wedding photographs to remember the day, but we have made a life long friend who will actually be joining us in Ireland for our big wedding celebration. Kayleigh is one of a kind. A smart, talented, and genuine soul who you will be lucky to have capture your big day; whatever it may be.

My wife and I hired Kayleigh after hiking one of our favorite mountains, and deciding that we wanted to do something that not only represented who we were as people, but something that was as stress-free as possible. Kayleigh helped transform that dream into a reality and then some! From the start she was willing to work with us on securing her ASAP and also in giving us some great ideas and expectations for the day of. After two phone calls we had a location picked (around Silverton, CO) and Kayleigh already had several spots in mind we just had to decide on what we wanted and what was most important to us. From that day until the day of, we were at ease and definitely felt like we were in the hands of a professional. Even when we arrived late to the shoot everything was all smiles. Her knack for lighting and posing without anything feeling "posed" was incredible. We ended up with about 250 incredible photos to whittle down to fit our album and even that has been a challenge as there are just SO many great photos. Communication has been quick and consistent throughout the process, and Kayleigh has been a joy to work with. Could not recommend more, and everyone who has seen our photos has inquired about hiring Kayleigh for their own events. 11/10 services.

Our wedding plans changed multiple times as they did for most 2020 couples, and Kayleigh was flexible each step of the way. We ended up officially tying the knot this past September and she was amazing! It was definitely an adventure and very DIY, but she was up for it! We hiked to a meadow and exchanged our vows and she photographed everything and everyone so beautifully! I am so so so grateful that we decided to hire Kayleigh and that we had our special day captured so magically. I cannot say enough about the professionalism in which Kayleigh handled our wedding day photography. From our initial inquiry to our big day, Kayleigh was punctual, organized and very responsive. She sent us multiple questionnaires leading up to the big day requesting information I wouldn't have ever thought of prior to her asking, so that in itself was incredibly helpful while planning our day-of timeline. On the day of our wedding, Kayleigh exceeded our expectations. My husband isn't huge on photos and I was a little weary about him getting burnt out by the end of the day. Thankfully, Kayleigh's workstyle doesn't capture poses, it captures the moments. Her photo prompts allowed us to have fun and that really shows through in our photos. Kayleigh captured every ounce of joy from our wedding day, the most joyfilled day of our lives. Kayleigh was also super intentional with how she handled our photos; it's clear she doesn't take shortcuts and won't follow a one size fits all approach for her clients. She requested my Pinterest board and even slightly adjusted her editing style because she felt it reflected our style more. She was spot on. We cannot thank her enough for giving us the gift that keeps on giving - the ability to relive our wedding day over and over again.

We hired Kayleigh Rust to shoot our Yellowstone wedding in September of 2020, and it was the best investment of our whole wedding. She captured the scenes, the people, the moments, absolutely beautifully. Here are a few of our favorite things about Kayleigh: * She took charge during the family & friends portraits, effectively herding a group of cats. It was fantastic. * She knows angles, poses, lightning inside and out, resulting in absolutely beautiful photographs that you'll cherish forever. * She's able to get the candid shots you want, without even remotely being in the way- she is a true professional wedding photographer. * She's great at putting everyone at ease and was super personable- plenty of laughs and fun were had during the shoots. * She's a very clear communicator: before, during, and after the wedding. * Finally, she's genuinely a great person to be around and work with. We are so, so, so happy we hired Kayleigh to photograph our wedding.

Finding the ideal wedding photographer was very important to my husband and me, as neither of us wanted overly posed or staged photos. We wanted someone to capture our true selves, the genuine laughter, and the true love of the day. We couldn't have been happier with our choice in Kayleigh. Our photos are real, raw, and from the heart. She and her assistant Kayla just seemed like two more guests are our wedding! We laughed, joked, and had such a great time. If you are considering Kayleigh as your wedding photographer, consider yourself lucky: she is a consummate professional with an extensive and polished portfolio that sets her apart from others in the area. As Floridians eloping in the Grand Tetons, we were so glad to connect with Kayleigh, who was not only very responsive to our needs but willing to lend her knowledge and expertise to our planning process. She was a great help to us out-of-towners in determining the best locations and times to get the most out of our special day, and we couldn’t have been happier with the day-of experience or the finished product. Kayleigh was professional, friendly, and easy to work with in person. She went above and beyond to help us “set the stage” for our actual ceremony, and took TONS of breathtaking photographs throughout our day. She managed to capture us at our absolute best—most of the time without us even realizing she was there—and left with a veritable trove of magazine-worthy images that she later made available for us to download in full resolution. It was a rush to see the pictures once they were ready. Kayleigh’s work is amazing and serves as a surprising boost to the ego. My husband and I looked at a few of the pictures, then looked at each other as if to confirm that we are actually capable of looking that good. Kayleigh was great! She was helpful along the way with planning and captured our wedding perfectly. She was game to do an early AM (I’m talking 3-4 am) hike to get gorgeous alpine pictures. Our wedding photos came out amazing and I would recommend her to anyone who is searching for a photographer out in Western US! Also as a side note her rental company Wild West Collective has awesome items (plates, flatware, tables/chairs table decor, etc!) she was kind enough to let us use her rental items and let me tell you- they looked amazing!

Kayleigh truly made our dreams come true when we decided to elope in Grand Tetons National Park in September 2019! We originally approached Kayleigh to take our elopement pictures after seeing her amazing work on her website/instagram. After telling her a bit more about the things my husband and I like to do together, she suggested a sunrise "first look" adventure session with a climb to a lake within the park. We would NEVER have been this creative to think of something like that and that made our entire elopement day that much more special! Kayleigh was such an amazing photographer, made us feel insanely comfortable the entire day, and we both felt we had gained another friend. Kayleigh is very talented. Our photos were phenomenal. The photos as well as the locations she took us to shoot were crazy high quality. My wife has covered our house in wedding photos, and everyone that sees them is so impressed. Kayleigh is one of the best. From assisting us with ideas/planning to the actual photos, everything was perfect. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and it definitely showed in our pictures. We had such a great experience with Kayleigh as our wedding photographer. We hired her back in 2019 for engagement photos, wedding photos and an adventure session in GNP. Kayleigh was willing to meet us down in Colorado (she is from WY) while on assignment for another couple to do our engagement photos, and then traveled all the way up to Kalispell MT for our wedding. Kayleigh has been such a huge support the entire time. We had been screwed over by a videographer back in January and Kayleigh was there to help us navigate our options and find a new videographer. Then like most who are getting married during this time, we had to make some massive adjustments due to COVID. Kayleigh listened to my crazy bride rants and helped me come up with a solution that kept my best interests at heart, reminding me that it's my day and I should not feel guilty for any choice I make. She did a fantastic job at making us laugh, breaking my now husband out of his awkward shell and was extremely flexible. Even down to the day we had to make changes to our plans and her spirit, support and raspberries kept me going. I would highly recommend and would hire her again for other photography needs.

Kayleigh should be everyone’s dream wedding photographer. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and talent are beyond amazing. The two of us spent extensive time together researching every detail of our mountain elopement and there’s no way I could’ve planned this day alone. She was there for us every step of the way to provide her professional insight and support, and provided us with so much more than you can bargain for. When it came time to elopement day, it felt like we were shooting with our best friend. We were worried about being awkward, but she made us so relaxed, comfortable, and everything felt natural. If you’re on the fence or considering booking Kayleigh, she is every bit worth your time, money, and wait. Kayleigh gave us our most precious gift from that day that we will treasure forever.

I can’t say enough great things about Kayleigh! She is such an amazing photographer and person! She helped us with EVERY aspect of our elopement. The location, my hair, makeup, minister, where we stayed, table decor and anything thing else I asked she helped me with! Our day was perfect and I have it captured in the most beautiful pictures and it’s all thanks to Kayleigh! We also gained a new awesome friend! I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Kayleigh was phenomenal!! Seriously the best photographer I could have asked for, and the photos are gorgeous! Kayleigh was so easy to work with and made all of our guests and family feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. The #1 item on my wedding list was photography and we couldn't be happier!
