Kiernan and her team were very professional and wonderful to work with. My wife and I booked her for our wedding in Los Angeles this month, and couldn’t be happier. Kiernan was communicative, informative and helpful during our meetings leading up to wedding. The day of, she was able to accommodate our time frame and maintained a professional positive attitude throughout the day. We really appreciated her direction and help as she guided us through the photo ops with us and our families. After the wedding she was quick to deliver our sneak preview of the photo gallery, and we can’t wait to see the rest! We would highly recommend Kiernan Michelle Photography to anyone.

On your wedding day things go by so quickly and it can be difficult to think back on specific moments or individual details. So, I can't overstress the importance of getting great photos that capture things as they were, rather than just an exciting blur of color and familiar happy faces that your memory will likely be left with. Keeping that in mind, the photographer you choose and trust with such an integral part of your wedding day has to be someone you have full confidence in and, wholeheartedly, I can say that Kiernan meets and exceeds all the expectations of what makes an incredible wedding photographer. She was able to make my (now) husband and I feel relaxed, while also offering VERY helpful and necessary directions of how to pose (down to the way to tilt our head, where to look, where our hands should be, etc) and that was so appreciated! It's always frustrating when someone is taking a picture of me and I think I look one way in my head... until I see myself in the resulting photo and realize how awkwardly my body position was or that lipstick had gotten smeared on my cheek... and if the photo worthy moment has passed, I’m stuck with either a ruined photo that I don’t like or a memory that will soon fade with no decent photo to commemorate it. Thankfully this wasn't something I had to worry about when shooting with Kiernan, and it made me feel so much more confident to know that if something needed to be changed or corrected in order to get the best photo possible, she would notice it and then she’d let us know what we need to do to get that shot. A good wedding photographer should also have decent “people skills” and be able to work with different personalities and unique relationship dynamics, as weddings have the added complication of involving multiple families coming together and all the potential anxiety and frustration that can come with interpersonal familial drama. But, Kiernan was wonderful at rolling with things as they came and keeping things moving, she never seemed overwhelmed or impatient. She was a true professional at every moment. I think her easygoing confidence really helped me more than I can say.. as there was a moment during family photos that I was beginning to stress about family politics and trying to include everyone, while also being clearly overwhelmed by it all; thankfully Kiernan’s calm reassurance was exactly what I needed in that moment. Then, after the wedding, when my husband and I received our sneak peek photos, (which were sent so quickly that we got them while we were still in our post-wedding hotel suite) and we were blown away by how beautiful they turned out. There were so many amazing shots that I loved, I couldn’t pick a favorite... I had at least 10-15 top favorites. To wrap it up, Kiernan is an insanely talented photographer, a true professional and just an overall sweet, lovely person. I can be quite awkward around new people, but Kiernan honestly made me feel like I was working with/ getting photographed by a friend. If you are getting married soon and are looking for a photographer that will be able to deliver photos you will cherish forever AND who will make you feel comfortable and confident while the photos are being taken... I highly recommend Kiernan Michelle Photography, as I sincerely believe she is the best you will find... I know she was for me!

Kiernan is amazing! She is responsive, professional, and went above and beyond on our wedding day. We can't thank her enough! Kiernan is easy-going and lovely to work with (even our wedding planner raved about how awesome she was on our big day!). My husband and I weren't entirely sure what to expect because we've never worked with a professional photographer but she made us feel 100% comfortable and confident. Kiernan was the best photographer, we couldn't have asked for anyone better! She did our engagement, boudoir, and wedding photos and all turned out amazing. Kiernan is very kind and responsive, and helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I were ultimately very happy with our wedding photos. Kiernan and her assistant were very pleasant to work with on our wedding day, and took a lot of beautiful shots of our ceremony and reception. Neither my husband nor I are super comfortable in front of the camera, but the awkwardness we felt isn’t evident in most of the pictures. We received some sneak peek shots the very next day, and the rest of our photos within a month or so. The quality of the photos makes it a real pleasure to look back and remember our special day! I would recommend Kiernan Michelle Photography for your wedding - the photos we received are beautiful and professional.

Kiernan is the best! We hired her for our wedding photography. The photos are absolutely perfect! I am beyond impressed by all the details she captured throughout the day. From shots of the decorations to candid dancefloor photos to beautiful portraits, she does it all! I am having such a hard time picking photos to print because all of the photos are so good. Kiernan was the sweetest, informative, professional. We have communicated over several months. Originally I planned a grand local wedding. When my venue fell through and moved out of state she worked with me on a new date. She was so flexible and very responsive. I ended up changing my grand wedding to a very small out of state wedding. I asked if she could consider cancelling since our vision and budget had changed. She was so kind after everything and gave my deposit back with the day and continued to wish me well and was so very kind. Thank you for everything!

Our photos look AMAZING, and we are so happy! The prep process was smooth, and her pricing structure was super clear. It was easy to coordinate with Kiernan before the big day. We chose to add on a second photographer, and Kate was great as well. The two of them were such ninjas during the ceremony and reception. They got a ton of fantastic candids. Our posed family photos also look really nice- plus, Kiernan was able to move through them really quickly so our family and wedding party could go enjoy themselves. Kiernan turned around a sneak peek of our photos very quickly, and we got the full gallery in just two weeks. We’re still deciding which ones to get edited- there are a lot of beautiful choices. So Kiernan is amazing. I truly am so in awe of her work. She worked with us so well and she got the feel of the venue and what we wanted. She was an expert when it came down to getting the right light! I am so so so happy that we chose her and she was so fast with returning the images to us. We hired Kiernan Michelle Photography as our wedding photographer and we are so happy with how everything turned out. Kiernan was great to work with; she's very helpful and responsive. The packages she offers are very affordable as well. The photos are absolutely stunning and we're in love with every single one of them. My husband and I are both very awkward in front of a camera, but the two photographers helped us with different poses and told us exactly what to do and the pictures turned out better than we could've ever imagined. We will definitely be recommending her to anyone we know that needs a wedding photographer.

My husband and I are so happy we hired Kiernan to be our wedding photographer! We're out of state and she was so easy to work with over the phone and via email leading up to the big day, giving helpful advice for our timeline and being so flexible. On the wedding day she was right on time with her co-photographer (included in our package) and began getting tons of shots. They just told us what to do and where to be, which was great because then we didn't need to think about it! The whole day Kiernan captured everything and was so accommodating. We just received our pictures less than two weeks later and WE ARE IN LOVE!!! They are so phenomenal. It is so true that you can't remember every little detail because it's all so much, but it's all there in the photos. Kiernan is a fantastic photographer; her style is so clean and she brings out the best in you. She has a variety of packages and add-ons to suit your needs. My fiancé and I initially hired Kiernan for an engagement shoot, and we loved her so much that we just HAD to have her capture our wedding. This year (2020) has been trifled by pandemic chaos, luckily we were able to snag a session with her right before lockdown! We immediately had great chemistry with Kiernan and she offered her expertise on different poses, sites, and lighting. Her eye for photographing couples is truly second to none, and she even made sure that we didn’t have issues like flyaway hairs or misplaced collars, etc. Out of all the pictures we received, there seemed to be NONE that were “throwaways” or repetitive. Overall it was such a fun experience, coming from two awkward nerds that are very uncomfortable in front of a camera, Kiernan knows how to put you at ease. 10/10 would recommend! -Madison and Jeremy

We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, but we had a small ceremony on the original date and Kiernan graciously offered us 2 hours of photography for that day. My family was so nervous that it wouldn't be enough time to get all the photos we wanted, but Kiernan proved us wrong! She showed up and immediately started taking shots of our venue. She was extremely efficient, super friendly, great at giving directions, and made all of us feel so comfortable. Oh yeah and - most importantly - she sent us almost 400 BEAUTIFUL photos six days after the ceremony! I am so impressed, and cannot wait to have her photograph our big ceremony next year!

Kiernan was such a WONDERFUL and talented asset to our wedding. Because of her locality to the site, she was able to do a walkthrough with me before the wedding to see what the best places for photos were. She was also very patient and helpful as, during our walkthrough, I had to workout some more details with the venue. She did a great job blending in without making herself too known, but still informed me of the times that one typically does things during a ceremony. When taking posed photod, her instructions on how to smile, where to stand, etc were all quite clear. Our pictures turned out STUNNING! I am so in love with every single one, she captured our personalities so well- even getting some amazing mid-laugh shots of us, our party, and our guests. On top of all this, she's both very sweet and professional and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in need of a photographer!

As other reviewers stated, Kiernan is fantastic. I got married a month ago and already have all of my photos in hand. There are so many 'guides' on how to pick a great wedding photographer, and for us Kiernan checked every box. 1. Her style wasn't the same as everyone else's. Just as I avoided 'the font' like the plague in all of my paper goods and decor, I didn't want my photos to be that over-saturated under-contrasted whitewashed aesthetic that is currently trendy. Kiernan's style is classic and trend-proof, which was very important to us! 2. She is easy to work with and very responsive. When we first reached out, she replied almost immediately and we set up an in-person interview where she showed us recent weddings she had worked on, albums, un-edited and edited images, her pricing upfront and helped guide us to the appropriate package. I'm super detailed and she answered every single question I had! 3. Neither my husband nor myself are very photogenic, but she was able to guide us and get every shot on our list not only taken, but taken beautifully where we miraculously don't look awkward! 4. She was on time, helpful and a joy to have around on the day of our wedding. We now have SO many photos of our wedding day that we will be looking through for years to come!

Kiernan was amazing from our engagement shoot in San Diego to our wedding day in Ojai! She came to the engagement shoot with cute posing ideas but also got some natural/candid shots as well. She is incredibly calm and flexible. It really was great to be able to meet her before the wedding day because the day of is so busy. She took a look at our timeline and gave really helpful tips/feedback that we incorporated! Because she is so flexible, we ended up having an impromptu photo session during cocktail hour down a little hidden road and these are some of our favorite shots. She did such an amazing job at capturing the love and happiness of our wedding day. I couldn't recommend her more!!

Wow! This review is a long time coming ! Sorry ! I had severe wedding fatigue LOL My Mother-in-Law found Kiernan here on The Knot website. She contacted us about our inquiry right away and met with us soon after. I instantly felt that Kiernan was the right person for the job. I genuinely liked her vibe , disposition and the professional way that she carried herself. Kiernan showed us her portfolio of all the amazing wedding pictures she has taken which made me feel so comfortable having her capture my big day. Her pricing is phenomenal and really helped me with my overall budget! I found her to be available and prompt on any questions that I had leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding she was on time while my girls and I were still a mess. Packed into a cramped hotel suite , with a few toddlers running around, Kiernan managed to transform a morning of chaos and stress into what looked like tranquility. She even suggested that I place my veil into a bathroom with the shower water running hot to help knock out some ill begotten wrinkles. She took beautiful shots of the decor in the venue. I loved the getting ready pictures, the shots of the audience as they waited for me to come down the aisle, and this beautiful candid shot of my godmother crying two months before her death, which I will cherish forever! She had unwavering patience as my mother tried to get all 100+ members of my family into a single shot. I will admit to being a bridezilla and not wanting to take photos after the ceremony but she insisted that we take certain shots and I'm so grateful that she did. One could swear that you could hear the music blasting from the shots she got of my guests on the dance floor! She was so helpful and professional and I love my photos. I tried to tip her (not much as I was tapped) but she refused to take the money! If i were you , I'd go with Kiernan 100 % !

My entire wedding planning process was based on the concept and plan to pay as little as possible, especially because every little detail adds up!! While I didn’t wanna spend a fortune, I did want it to look nice, and not be apparent that I was trying to be on such a tight budget. I wanted my pictures to be the proof of that. Kiernan Michelle Photography was the answer to my photography needs!! She fit perfectly in my budget and I didn’t have to sacrifice any details. Kiernan was awesome!! She was very professional and easy to work with. She was always available to communicate conveniently through text and met with me at the venue to do a walk through. The day of the wedding was pretty overwhelming and a bit stressful for me, as we ran an hour behind. I felt like the entire day was a game of catch up. This anxiety and stress was not hid well either, but she was so patient and did so well getting me the shots I wanted, even after my groom had one too many drinks. We absolutely love our photos!! They are amazing!!! ❤️❤️

Karen shot our engagement photos on the ONE rainy day we had in Huntington Beach seemingly all year. Karen rolled with the punches and gave us the confidence to go for it when we were iffy about the weather. She made us feel comfortable and the pictures ended up being so much more wonderful than I could have hoped for. The cold, the wind, and the rain made for a good story and the pictures are a cherished keepsake. We are so excited for Karen to shoot our wedding. She is so talented and we are so happy to have found her!

I couldn't possibly be more thrilled with the photos that we've seen! Kiernan isn't just a talented photographer, but she also got along so incredibly well with my whole family (which is a feat!) and she made everyone feel beautiful. My little niece said she felt like it was a Hollywood party! We've already seen about 10 of her finished images, and I'm literally shaking with excitement to see the final album!
