Aida is wonderful to work with when you are planning an event. Kept on top of everything before our wedding and at the reception the night of our wedding. She is awesome!
I had the best experience working with Debbie Farmer. She was always there to help me. The day of the whole staff at knott’s was so great to me! I would definitely recommend this place as a venue for wedding ceremony and reception.
I had a great experience working with the Knott's staff including Debbie Farmer in the lead up to my wedding reception and on the day of. Thank you!
The venue was great and the service was over the top. Aida is the one that helped me with my event and she was more than great!
For significantly less than what you would pay at other sites, for food alone, you get food, the reception site (no additional venue rental feel), the cake, cake cutting fee, linens, champagne for the toast, hotel room the night of the wedding, and day-of wedding coordinator. At a measely few bucks a head extra, you also get your chair covers, an hour of extra reception, and boysenberry punch!
The hotel room is nothing special - the normal single or double bed you'd get if you were staying at the hotel. If you want the reception to be more formal, you'll have to invest some extra money to fancy-up the joint, but it doesn't take much (i.e. go for more expensive flower arrangements).
Even better, you get a discounted rate if you decide to have your ceremony at the Knott's Church of Reflections. And the cost includes the limo, officiant, and organist! Crazy! The fake flowers are super-cheesy looking though, so again, if you want to class-it-up, take those down and invest in some really nice arrangements.
The hotel room situation is a pain in the butt though. Check-in isn't until 4 pm, which is extremely inconvenient for the rehearsal dinner and an evening wedding. They won't guarantee you an early check-in, which means all you can do is call in the morning of the event to find out if you can check in. I highly recommend just booking the day before you want to be there so that you can be settled in ahead of time without worrying about getting a room in time to get ready.
Great bang for your buck, but if you have your wedding at the Church of Reflections and reception at Wilderness Dance Hall in the park, you will get two different wedding planners, and sometimes they're hard to get ahold of. Wedding planner for the ceremony was with the Hotel, and service was great. Planner for the park reception did not make me a priority and didn't actively help me with the wedding unless I came to her. On the day of, she didn't let my vendors in on time and caused my ceremony to start late. If you go with Knott's, know exactly what you want because they don't help you plan at all. However, they do most things in house and it is an amazing value. You must go with their bakery because the cake is included, and the quality is along the lines of a supermarket cake. But, they will copy any cake you give them a photograph of and they did fondant and gum paste flowers that had the look of a much more expensive wedding. I would recommend Knott's to every bride that wants a fun wedding on a budget.
The many different kinds of cake and fillings you could have, boysenberry filling... need I say more.Only thing is they need more experience people that can make fondant molds. I wanted fall colored fondant leaves for my wedding cake and i was told they don't have anyone that can make them. I had to have my friends sister( who just graduated Cordon Blue) make them and she did an amazing job. Other then that, all my guests raved about the taste of the cake.
Aida, Giovanni and all the catering crew were so patient and helpful. The whole banquet/meal was tasty. They added extras totally unexpectedly and it turned out to be quite cost-effective. Highly recommend them.
We did not use the Knott's Hotel. Rather, this is a review for Knott's Berry Farm resort AND the Knott's Berry Farm bakery. Although I'm sure the Knott's Hotel would have been just as awesome.
We had our reception at Knott's Berry Farm resort, inside the park. Our reception cost $24 a person, included the hall for four hours, linens and set-up for tables and chairs, champagne toast, generously portioned and delicious meals for ourselves and our guests, boysenberry punch, AND the wedding cake! Our coordinator (Kerensa Summers) was attentive and obliging every step of the way and on the day of, our wait staff was courteous and attentive.
When it came to our CAKE, we got to decide the flavors and frostings for each tier. In regards to design, we weren't limited to their design book but instead was told that we could choose a picture of a cake, nearly any cake, and they would make it. In the end, I had designed my own cake and they made EXACTLY what I asked for. And SO DELICIOUS! The best cake I've ever had! Moist and fluffy with buttercream frosting that was just the right combination of butter and sugar.
PLUS! They will also give us a celebratory 9'' cake, the exact design and flavor from our wedding, to celebrate our one-year anniversary for FREE!
We ordered 3 different flavors of cake and all of them were amazing! The delivery costs were more than expected so we picked our cake up but it was the best tasting cakes and the presentation was goregous!
I had Mrs.Knotts Famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits. It was Amazing!!!There wasn't an empty plate in the room!! I couldn't of asked for better food.Point Blank!!!! Not to mention the service was great. The waiters and the bartender were GREAT!!!! The only thing that gets you is the tax and gratuity. Make sure you add it all in.
I am not the hugest cake fan, so didn't want to spend a fortune on our cake. Knott's Berry Farm Bakery was the perfect choice! We had a cake testing and chose the flavors and fillings we wanted. My favorite thing about the service at Knott's Berry Farm was that I literally brought in a picture of exactly how I wanted the cake to look, and it looked exactly like it on my wedding day. If you're looking for a beautiful cake at an affordable price, this is the place to go!
After calling TONS of bakeries and getting price quotes from 1200-2000 for a cake for 200, I finally called Knotts Berry Farm Bakery. We got our cake for $297! It was gorgeous and DELICIOUS! Everyone at the wedding raved about the cake and didn't believe me when I told them where it was from. We get all of our cakes from there from now on. Holly, the decorator that you meet with is so sweet and makes it so easy to help you design your cake. We were sooo HAPPY with the way it turned out!
My wedding cake looked just like the picture provided ~ fun and set up great! The cake was delicious! Everyone had more than one piece and still talks about how great it tastes.
Renewing our 25th wedding anniversary-we felt like a prince & princess. It was very warm and inviting and everything went perfect...it was the best time of our lives the food was excellent staff very professional and food served hot and right on time. I couldn't of asked for anything better. If I had to do it again I would do it at Knotts again.
The church was ver nice. I liked the how everything was set up and loved the layout.;The table clothes had burn marks and the fruit was wilted. The layout of the reception was horrible. Please look at the venue prior to you're guest arriving.
The hotel ballroom was perfect for our reception. The staircase leading up the ballroom was decorated and provided more of an elegant ambience. I loved that most of the supplies were on-site i.e. bakery, caterer, tables, chairs, etc.);My husband and I took pictures after our ceremony while the guests headed to the hotel for cocktails. After the pictures, my husband and I had a horse and carriage take us to the hotel for the reception. The event manager was supposed to let the guests know when we were arriving so that they can line the stairs and the lobby and greet us as we made our entrance. The event manager was no where to be found as we arrived even after my husband and I tried to get a hold of her from our cell phones. I was looking forward to that part of the reception, but unfortunately it did not happen!
Made a lot of decisions easy, they had a great service and reception package that included some very nice touches.
