We came to visit my son in the area. This was our 1st time staying on Clear Lake. This resort has a great view of the lake with access.
There is weekend entertainment and kayak rentals. The pool is well taken care of.
We explored the area and...
found the resort was centrally located.
The lobby has a LOT of music memorabilia! Great to see the different artists.
My only suggestion is to improve the breakfast. I believe this would help the resort a lot.

The location and the pool deck are outstanding. That is why I give it 3 stars. Everything else, not great. First off, they market that they have "three lakeside dining venues." They have one from what I could see, the poolside one 'Marina Bar ...
& Grill' isn't open yet, and breakfast lunch and dinner are all the same restaurant... not sure where they pulled "three" from?
My #1 complaint is the breakfast scam. The free 'breakfast' is the worst I have ever seen and when you ask to buy breakfast in the restaurant they are only offering a $30/pp buffet. It is the biggest waste of food I have ever seen! My daughter was hungry so I decided to just pay for her and I to have the buffet and we were the only 2 people the entire time, We watched hungry guests come in to ask for breakfast, heard the price and left. There was so much food being offered but with prices like that it likely was all tossed at the end of the day. Not even just that, but the food was terrible! I had Eggs Benedict and the eggs weren't cooked... like the whites of the eggs were runny and clear and there wasn't anyone at the omelette bar, one of the hostesses asked the bus boy if he knew how to make an omelette and he said he would try, luckily a chef came out before he got too far along. Why not either adjust the amount of food options so you can lower the price and feed your guests or just offer a breakfast menu so you don't waste so much.
The rooms were not great, ours had a deck that access to was being blocked by a couch, when we moved it to open the door, the wood was completely rotten and didn't look like it could hold a human. The big windows over the lake would be nice but they were really dirty on the outside covered in cobwebs and dirt.
Indoor Pool that they market as available, not open yet. The Spa that they proudly add to the name of their establishment.. Not open yet, you can supposedly have a massage in your room but there isn't an actual spa. I rarely write reviews but I really felt like they were being greedy with a lot of false advertisement and trying to nickle and dime their guests.. not off to a good start..

We arrived and this place was empty and quiet. The website advertised they have so much to do which is a scam. The pool tables were closed, the spa is not open. Tennis courts are closed, the restaurant is only open on the weekends. You can’t pa...
rk your boat on the water and leave it for your stay. The rooms are decent compared to the old rooms and the Wi-Fi does not work. They took out the barbecue grills outside of your room which is inconvenient. They only have one pool opened and be aware of the new flooring around the pool. They have screws sticking out which I told the pool boy and he said he had to go get a screwdriver, but did not return .
The restaurant food is terrible and way too expensive. The restaurant staff is friendly.
This is more of a weekend place if you want peace and quiet. The website is a scam of what this place has to offer. The concerts are held inside now and it’s small bands performing.
The new owners have put a lot of money into this place since being reopened.

Was SO hoping this would be good. In town for business and decided to trust the reviews and stay.
DAY Front desk staff was amazing, if not for her we would have left immediately.
From there, everything went downhill
Went for dinner at the resta...
urant, ordered a bottle of wine and prepared to have a nice evening,
Only Waitress on a Saturday night was not the A team
Not friendly, cordial, and never asked required questions about our entrees, like how would we would like the steak cooked.
I was so looking forward to this new beginning but I ended up ordering door dash instead of spending my money here

The website made the renovations look wonderful, so we decided to give it a try. It is still a very run down hotel with limited service (nothing was open, yet we were still charged a resort fee). And it was super weird being there with literall...
y 2 other guests (over 100 room resort). My fielnd booked a lower tier riom and they were going to out him in a separate building all alone. It didn't feel safe so we asked them to move him to the same building and they charged him an extra $70 to do so. The room was not very clean and had an odd odor. The little deck to enjoy the lake was full of spider webs. There was a big dirt hand print on the bathroom door - you couldn't miss it, so why not clean it??? Dirt in the floor and hairs in the bathroom sink. To top it off, the price was way too much for the stay. All in all, very disappointing.
