This was magical. The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff was attentive and accommodating. I was out of town for most of the planning and Lauren and her staffed answered each and every email. They also were able to schedule phone calls with me when ever necessary.

The Lake House was a perfect venue for our 55th BRHS high school reunion! Lauren had many good suggestions to help us plan the evening. The food and cash bar was very well done. We appreciated that the DJ played exactly the kind of dance music we wanted and that he did tone it down so we could actually have conversations. The committee received many complimentary comments from all who attended. Having a handicapped entrance was also helpful. Hope to have another big reunion in 5 years!

We both live out of town and have busy schedules. Lauren and Katie made the entire process extremely easy. Their advice was priceless from cake to dj and floral arrangement. The flowers were hand delivered to the church.The venue was immaculate and the food exceptional. Our guests made a point to compliment us on our reception at The Lake House. We would rate their performance with as many stars as permitted, five seems too few!

Over that past decade our private Christian school has used Lake House Reception Center for PTO School Dances and our Annual Employee Appreciation luncheon. Each experience in their beautiful facilities and with their personal and professional staff has been a joy for our school families and our staff. We had a fantastic event for dinner and dancing at Lake House in May. The seating arrangement, dance floor, atmosphere and food were excellent. Lauren and her staff were the perfect hosts and worked with us on every detail! All of our attendees have been asking when will be doing another one because they think the Lake House is a beautiful venue in a prime location!

Lauren was incredible!!! She was our day-of coordinator as well as our florist. I recommend her to any bride/groom! Such a nice lady, professional, takes initiative, and is well versed in the business. She thought of so many important pre-ceremony and reception details that my husband and I would have otherwise overlooked and helped the timing of it all to work seamlessly. Had no clue what I was doing, and was trying to plan from out of state, but Lauren had everything under control to the last minute. I cannot recommend Lake House enough! It’s a beautiful location and the staff’s attention to detail is top notch! There are so many great places for pictures. All over the grounds and the wrap around porch are pretty. Inside there are mantles/fireplaces and chandeliers and lots of windows! We booked our reception with Lake House a couple months before COVID started. Once we realized this wasn’t going away before our wedding in December, we decided to meet with Lauren to discuss postponing. We were able to come to an agreement on a new date the following December (2021). Lauren helped us orchestrate picking up samples of the food so we could make our menu selections. She was also always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. When I waited too long to order my flowers, she did them herself and they were BEAUTIFUL. I do not recommend this though, she has enough to do without doing flowers! She seemed to just fill in all the holes that I missed. Like a wedding super hero or something! She and the rest of the staff were amazing before and during our party. Regularly asking if we needed anything to drink/eat (because we all know how thirsty you’ll be when you get stuck talking to that relative that you can’t get away from lol). Lauren suggested that we use our “signature drink” for our toasting photos and even thought to not get the sugar on the rim of my glass so it wouldn’t mess up my lipstick! She literally thought of ALL the things - like she’s done this before or something! I cannot thank Lauren and her staff for making our day as easy and enjoyable as possible. All of our guests raved about the food and how beautiful everything was!

Cannot say enough about this beautiful venue. From booking to reception night everything was perfect. Lauren and her staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Lauren and Chris took excellent care of everyone. The food was great! I recommend the boudin balls, spicy corn dip and mini muffulettas!! They packaged all our leftover food for us to take home. Something I appreciated very much. We had 95 in attendance and there was plenty of space for seating and dancing. The Lake House is especially beautiful for an evening reception. You will love it!!!❤️

My husband and I had our wedding here toward the end of November 2020 and loved every hit of it! Lauren and the incredible staff made everything so easy for us and everything turned out beautifully! The decor was great, the food was great, and the staff was super attentive throughout the whole night.

I am SO glad I booked Lake House for my wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful and I had the most amazing ceremony. Even though it rained and we had to move everything inside, it was absolutely perfect. The BEST part about booking Lake House is Lauren - she is so good at her job its scary. The day of the wedding she coordinated everything down to the little details so I had nothing to worry about. She even brought me a drink after the ceremony to calm my nerves. I can't even begin to tell you how valuable this is. I've seen most venues do little to nothing on the day of. I am so grateful for Lauren and her whole team for giving me the wedding I've always dreamed of. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was so grateful to get to experience the Lake House for our special day! Originally this was the venue for my bridal shower, which was cancelled due to social distancing procedures. When we decided to push back our "big day" celebration, we decided also to still have a "little day," which the Lake House BEAUTIFULLY accommodated. Our family had a lovely time, the venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the amazing staff was so supportive and helpful. Also, pictures here turn out STUNNING!!

Huge thanks to Lauren and the rest staff for helping us with our wedding. Everyone was so professional, sweet and accommodating. There were times I was indecisive on certain aspects of the wedding, but they were always flexible, patient and understanding. They eased all of my concerns. I wanted to fit all 130 guests in the ballroom and they made it happen with no issues and plenty of space to dance. Lakehouse is a beautiful venue, both outdoors and in. The flowers were fabulous too. Lauren did a great job with the arrangements. Seriously, the staff went above and beyond to make our day run beautifully and smoothly.

Lake House took all the stress out of wedding planning. The food, bar, cake, DJ, and the reverend were all on one bill. All we needed to get ourselves was the dresses and tuxes and the photographer. The monthly payments made it easier on our budget. Everything was taken care of so we could relax and enjoy it.

We were hesitant to book here because we read some negative reviews from previous weddings. But after meeting with them, seeing the building, and trying the food, we were confident enough that whatever past issues had been resolved. They were a pleasure to work with and made my daughter's dream wedding come to life. Even the inevitable hiccups on the wedding day were addressed promptly and professionally. Lauren is the best and will make you feel at ease in the middle of the wedding day chaos.

From the moment I walked in the door, Lake House felt like home. They were so warm and welcoming and helped me with my wish list of details. They made us take-out boxes so we could sample the food before we picked the menu. (The stuffed mushrooms are amazing!) The lake is gorgeous and the building is classic but my favorite thing about the whole experience was the spacious bridal suite! The staff brought me and the bridesmaids mimosas and a tray of food and we had our own little dance party before the wedding. I loved every minute of the experience and felt like they cared about me and my family.

We used the Lake House for the first time in many years this past November, to hold the workshop for the Louisiana Psychological Association. The whole experience was simply fabulous. The staff members were a dream to work with––very accommodating, helpful, and gracious. They quickly addressed any concern I brought to them. The food was wonderful and healthy and perfectly timed. The owner & his daughter, Lauren, are the sweetest people that go above & beyond to accommodate their clients. The staff is professional and courteous. We could not have picked a better venue!

We absolutely loved having our reception at Lake House. Mrs. Margaret was so helpful and accommodating. She made every effort to meet all of our needs. Our coordinator became Lauren about two weeks before our wedding. There seemed to be more communication problems as we neared the wedding. i.e. when we could bring decorations to the venue, the arrangement of tables and placement of things. Everything came together nicely on the day of though! One thing that did happen during the reception was the bridal party toast during the cake cutting. Someone asked me if I would like the bridal party to have glasses and toast with us (which should have been previously discussed, but wasn't), I said yes and we waited around for glasses, but after about 5 minutes, we went ahead and cut the cake. We never did get the champagne glasses for the bridal party. That is one picture I wish we would have had the opportunity to have. Overall, we had the perfect day and are happy with how things turned out.

We are so pleased we chose the Lake House for our wedding. The staff responded quickly to any requests we made--including some unusual ones. The food was great and they packed up all the leftovers for us to take home. The grounds and building are lovely and we got some phenomenal wedding pictures. All our guests had a great time. The pricing was great for what we got. Would recommend!

The staff is amazing! Any questions I had were answered promptly. My ceremony was supposed to be outside, but the weather didn't cooperate. It took the staff a matter of minutes to prepare for the ceremony inside and it was just as beautiful. The flowers came from Lake House florist and they couldn't have been any prettier. Food was delicious and I'm hearing nothing but compliments. David, Jennifer and the rest of the Lake House staff were just absolutely amazing to me! It's definitely a night to remember!

Highly recommend! The staff here is incredible. They worked with me and answered every small question I had throughout the planning process. They respond quickly and are always willing to work around your schedule. I can't say enough great things about my wedding day. The food was phenomenal. All my guests are still talking about the shrimp dip.

Overall my experience was great! Mrs. Margaret is awesome and so friendly. The staff was very kind & understanding. The only bad thing to say is they got our groomsmen flowers wrong after I specifically said I did not want something multiple times & they still did it anyway! I also feel like we overpaid because here you have to pay for your vendors to eat & drink--mine did not eat or drink. We went home with so many leftovers because some guests did not show and including our vendors in our headcount.

I had a great overall planning period for my wedding, until the day of. I was never introduced to my coordinator, who was completely unprofessional. She cursed in front of my family multiple times at the reception, was ugly and rude to all of my venders, dressed and a white tank top and black tights, and was completely unorganized. She ran around Ll night like a maniac and I could never find her. The food ran out and they forgot to set up my cake. I had to wait 20 minutes for knives and plAtes to cut my cake. And when I called to complain, they dismissed my complaint. I am not happy with them at all. The red headed lady was AWFUL and even told my venders at one point "I run this shit, not her". Please pass on this place. It's sad, because it has so much potential

We had our reception at the Lake House for approx. 100 people. Everything went exactly as we had expected. Our bridal assistant was Kelly and she was so nice, caring, and easy to work with.

I got married on October 3rd, 2014.. Margaret was really nice, but didn't seem to answer my questions directly. I would get more of a "oh don't worry it will work out", than her answering my questions.. She told us we didn't need to bring anyone to the rehearsal except the MOH and Best Man and it would take 15 minutes. That sounds ridiculous. I didn't want my bridal party to be confused the day of. As far as the rehearsal, We were given a time slot of 5pm and when we got there, there was another rehearsal just starting. I was NOT pleased and it took over an hour to finish. Considering I only had 5 BM, that's a bit long. The wedding coordinator they had did not seem organized. The wedding, I was VERY angry when I was told there was a party ending at 5pm, the day of, and my wedding was to begin at 7pm. Since I was getting married there, my band needed at least 2 hrs to set up. We were told we couldn't get there till 5:30. Margaret did agree to let the band show up at 5 to set up, but didn't let them in when they got there at 5.. I disregarded her 5:30 timeline because my photographer wanted us there earlier and I did not want to be rushed. I was highly disappointed with the service and they way things are ran. The venue is a beautiful place, however, I will not be returning.

The accounting was horrible. They didn't apply our payment and argued that we owed more than our contract. Also they sent us multiple contracts with different end times. We followed the latest contract and they charged us 600.00 for 30 minutes before we even left the venue. We advised of the contracts and they said we must have changed the time on the contract. I was completely upset and it ruined the rest of my wedding night. We were told people would serve the food at the buffet but of was self serve. We thought they would serve the bridal party while sitting. They did not. Just a lot of unmet expectations. Very unhappy.

I had a very beautiful wedding at the Lake House. However, in hindsight I would have asked for a different staff member to be my day of coordinator. Will was friendly, but it seemed like most of my requests were an annoyance to him. He did not do a run-through of the wedding during the rehearsal time. He simply explained to each person separately where they needed to walk and. It was never explained to me that we would NOT be doing a walk-through during the rehearsal time. By the time I realized he was just explaining things to people, nearly an hour had passed. This led to my bridal party standing the wrong place, my officiant forgetting to include a song, and slightly disappointing pictures. Not doing a real rehearsal also made me feel more uncomfortable standing in front of so many people because I was unsure of little things like when to turn and where to put my hands. All of this could have been avoided by doing a true rehearsal. When reflecting on my wedding, I realized everything that went slightly wrong had something to do with their day of coordinator , Will. He placed the head table in the wrong place, which messed up the seating assignments I had spent time on. He also nearly forgot to save the top of the wedding cake,which is pretty standard and we discussed saving the top of the cake twice. They all were simple things that could've been avoided by their staff honoring my requests and more careful planning on their part. I loved the space at the Lake house, but my experience with the staff was disappointing. I would recommend following up in writing with any specific requests you make to the Lake house for your wedding and emphasizing the rehearsal piece. I'm very grateful I had an amazing team of friends who helped with decorations and coordinating the events the day of. My friends proved to be of way more value to me on my wedding day than the staff at the Lake house.

My daughter's wedding was held at the Lake House on June 21, 2014. The couple had a good experience; however, the logistics behind the scene and other issues did not make for a good experience - for example, the food that should have been given to the guests were eaten and taken by the kitchen staff. How does a buffet become limited on servings when it just opened? We were served tea, water, lemonade, and soda in plastic cups usually used for alcoholic drinks. The "professional" cake cutters were "professional" at butchering both cakes. Other logistics that staff assured me would be taken care of never happened, such as ensuring that all parties needing to speak during the wedding would have a mic. Not to mention how the staff failed to agree to relay the same lie to us during rehearsal. It is unacceptable how Lake House treated this local celebrity's special occasion. I paid full price for substandard treatment.

I had a few issues at the beginning with the flowers and cake and decided to go with other places for that. The food and service though was really good.

We had our wedding and reception at The Lake House. Everything and everyone were wonderful! Ms. Margaret and Ramsy went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed on our big day!! The food was also fantastic. Everyone told us the same thing after it was all over. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

At first, I really doubted Lake House. I viewed the venue and signed the contract a day later. THEN, I came and read some of the reviews online which (some of them) were not that great. This made me worried that we had made the wrong choice. BUT, everything was great. It STORMED the afternoon of my wedding day. The rain stopped about an hour before my wedding started and Lake House held the ceremony a little late to set up so that I could have an outside wedding. The food was good, the cake was good, and they were not stingy with the drinks. My hubby & I did not want for anything throughout the wedding! My wedding was perfect.

The Lake House was an exceptional place to have my reception. Everything was beautiful and the day of Coordinater was a dream!
