Land O' Goshen Farm Event Center

My husband and I could not have asked for a more beautiful day at Land O Goshen celebrating our wedding this past weekend. The grounds and barn were absolutely stunning, and Clair and Ian are the most respectful, professional vendors we’ve had the honor to work with. We are SO LUCKY we found Land O Goshen when booking our venue and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you clair and Ian for sharing your beautiful property with us! To all the brides out there looking for the perfect setting for your perfect day - look no further than Land O Goshen. You WILL NOT regret it!! I can’t emphasize enough how fantastic both the grounds and the owners are!

BRIDES BEWARE!!!! I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding here. The day before her wedding (Friday)at 8 am the venue owner calls and says ooops she double booked and there is a wedding there tonight, we can’t come set up or have rehearsal dinner there as planned. Just so happened, I knew whose wedding it was that night! They had access to the venue the night before their wedding (Thursday) to set up/ have their rehearsal dinner. Why would the owner wait until Friday morning to call and inform her she could not have access to the venue as planned? Clearly if she had a family setting up a wedding Thursday for Friday night she knew before Friday morning. No words. Instead the bridal party and family from out of town had to arrive at dawn to get the venue together in time for the wedding. Then during the event— as the bride and groom are enjoying their last hour on the dance floor- we are informed that she has double booked again for Sunday. So now instead of have until noon Sunday to take decor down, we have to do it after the wedding!!! Just mind blowing. You would think if you were an event owner you would also own a calendar!!!! Save yourself the stress for your special day and DO NOT BOOK here. Sure, the venue is beautiful. But there are many other venues that are just as gorgeous and their owners are professional.

I attended a wedding this weekend (Saturday night) for a close relative. It was amazing; wonderful caterer (Volare Restaurant), great DJ, good bar, pretty venue. At the end of the evening, I noticed some tension among the parents of the bride/groom, the bride/groom, and the owners of the venue. It seems the people who own Land O'Goshen are not very honest and straight forward with their wedding clients. Over a year ago, the bridal family signed a contract (and prepaid) to reserve the location from Friday morning before until the Sunday after (three days to work on setup/takedown). The bride/groom were told Friday morning that the wedding party would NOT be allowed on site that day, as they had "mistakenly" booked another wedding and setup for this wedding on Saturday (to be held at 4:00) would have to wait until Saturday morning. They scrambled, got there early after celebrating at a rehearsal dinner Friday night, and the place looked beautiful. On Saturday night about an hour before the wedding was supposed to end, the venue owners told our newlyweds they needed to have everything cleared out as soon as the event ended on Saturday, as they had "mistakenly" booked a wedding there for Sunday. Everyone among our wedding host group had to scramble and help tear it all down right then/there, despite having a signed contract stating they can come back on Sunday and clean. Adding insult to injury, on Saturday night I also noticed the venue's owner repeatedly helping himself to the buffet line at the wedding - without asking or being asked by the wedding party to have some food (VERY pricey caterer - I know they wouldn't feed those who weren't guests). The guy was wearing dirty bluejeans and a filthy "Land O'Goshen" T-shirt from having worked there all day, and didn't think it mattered to him that he was mingling among those in a really dressy crowd. After looking at other wedding sites and seeing reviews of Land O'Goshen Farms, this behavior is NO EXCEPTION. The couple who own the place tell their bridal parties one story ("the place is yours all weekend, feel free to come Friday and Sunday"), and then do whatever they want to, to turn over as many parties as they can. They use a "good cop/bad cop" scenario - the female owner blames her husband for the "mistakes" - and he blames her. Thank goodness all the owners of Land O'Goshen had to do was provide a nice place, and they didn't ruin the affair by having anything else to do with it. It was sad to see our bride brought to tears at her own wedding because the actions of these people were so ruthless and dishonest. It was sad to see the parents of the bride and groom and some close family working so hard during their party to pack everything up when they just wanted to celebrate. DO NOT PATRONIZE LAND O'GOSHEN FARMS. Find more ethical and honest people. You will be glad you did.

I won't rehash what's already been said, I'll just add that these folks are bad news. Beautiful setting but way more headaches than that beauty was worth. If you're going to ignore this advice, make sure you get a copy of your fully completed contract with all details, initials and signatures filled in. And make sure every detail is spelled out in writing, including: what is the name of the entity you are actually contracting with; what are the dates and times of your event; do they have the right to unilaterally change the terms of your agreement; do they have a right to wander through your event (in dirty clothes or even a tux) and help themselves to food? If people aren't careful, these folks will make your event immensely more stressful than it needs to be. With all of the above said, our kids had a beautiful wedding.

Renters BEWARE! Owners are unprofessional, unkind, and disrespectful. My cousin booked Land O Goshen 18 months prior to her wedding day; including a setup day (Friday) and a clean-up day (Sunday). 2 hours before set-up, the day before to the wedding, we were told we would be unable to set up…they had double booked the venue. That means at 7am, the day of the wedding, the bridal party (and out of town guests and family) spent hours setting up; something that should never have happened, seeing as the contract stated set-up was included in the rental of the facility. With an hour left to go, AT THE RECEPTION, we were informed that we had to pack-up everything that NIGHT, as the venue was double booked (AGAIN) on Sunday. The owner gave us their word that we would have plenty of time to return on Sunday to gather our belongings. Unbelievable. Additionally, the bathrooms smelled horrible, staff of Land O Goshen wore dirty clothing and helped themselves to several to-go boxes of leftover food from dinner. Pros: Land is lovely. Many places to take photos. Do NOT risk having your wedding day ruined by owners of a facility who will not honor what is in your contract. While this venue may be lovely, it is not worth the stress. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. Owners will screw you over. Terribly ran event space. Ruined what was suppose to be the best day of my life.

It’s hard to even identify any stars for the event center! The absolute beauty of the location was TOTALLY outweighed by the EXTREME LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM on behalf of the owner! Wearing a filthy work tshirt, he walked thru the wedding party and helped himself to food - uninvited! In addition, he miscommunicated to the bridal couple and also double booked the time they had contracted! Again the location is beautiful but it is often hard to overlook the anxiety and disappointment they created for the wedding couple on their special day.

Beautiful venue. However, disconcerting to see owners harassing bride, groom & their parents towards end of wedding. Also noticed owners hanging around very unprofessionally dressed. Just saying - they should dress appropriate to represent their establishment.

Our wedding at Land O Goshen was absolutely wonderful. The setting for the ceremony on the lawn was gorgeous, and I got so many compliments from the guests on how nice the back patio overlooking the fields was. Clair was super helpful, nice, and accommodating, allowing us to visit the property a number of times and answering a ton of questions. The tables that are included with the property were stunning and looked so good - no need for linens. Additionally, there are a couple hundred chairs and a lot of included decorations available (side tables, wooden boxes, wood slices) that helped make our wedding vision a reality. We are so happy to have had our wedding at Land O Goshen and highly recommend to others!

Venue is beautiful and has everything you need. It’s is very well maintained and they have everything you need. The owners are annoying, they stay around for the entire event and have far too many rules. While they have tons of space available only part of it is usable because of all their rules. They don’t want you to move any of their things around yourself but gripe if you ask them to move it. They say that they are there to help with stuff but then when we asked them to do stuff they say they don’t do that. It was frustrating and annoying. If you want a beautiful venue with lots of extra space and amenities and don’t mind lots of rules are owners that don’t leave the property and hover over you and complain about almost everything you do, this is your place.

Not a fan, would not recommend. I felt as though I was baited and switched.

This is the best venue in all of Oldham County. The space was beautiful, clean, unique, and manages well above our high expectations.

Loved our wedding at Land O'Goshen! So many guests commented on how beautiful of a location and venue it is. We enjoyed utilizing the outdoor spaces and setting up some lawn games on the side! We loved the fact that it had AC in the bathrooms and Groom and Bride rooms so that even though it was a hot day there was place to cool off. The kitchen was set up great for the caterer! We appreciate the fact that they were so accommodating with the change of date due to Covid! Clair and Ian were extremely helpful with the whole event!

Land O Goshen is the perfect place to have your wedding! This couple truly cares about making your wedding day exactly what you want. Our day was perfect. Claire spent so much extra time helping us plan and prepare. The venue has everything you need for your day and it makes the whole event flow smoothly. I didn’t have to worry about anything and could just enjoy our day! Their pricing is very reasonable and they are easy and fun to work with. If I had to choose again, I’d choose these guys!

Beautiful facility and the management is top-notch. Every detail of our daughters wedding reception was exactly as expected. Ian and Clair are super easy to work with and the entire experience was handled professionally. The venue itself is very modern with dressing areas for both Bridesmaids and groomsmen. Even arriving at the venue itself is so cool as you travel a narrow road past pastures, orchards, and farm ponds. Simply gorgeous property!

The owners of the event barn, Clair and Ian, are amazing host! They are great people who care about the space and your event. I just got married there and there were tons of last minute changes due to weather and they were so accommodating. Throughout the whole planning process, they were very helpful in anything I needed. The venue and the farm are both beautiful spaces and exactly what I was looking for on my wedding day and there are plenty of decorations available in the barn, but the space is doesn’t need a ton because it speaks for itself. My favorite parts of the barn were the ten foot wooden tables, the deck and patio areas, and the floor! Everything about the place is great, though. We appreciate Clair and Ian and their dedication to the space and people. Land O Goshen farm will always be a place I recommend to people. Thank you!!

You will be blown away once you take a tour. This well planned and prepared event center can handle any type of event. I was greeted by Clair and Ian Belknap, the current owners of the farm. The property has been passed down from generation to generation. The barn was recently remodeled by the Amish. You can see and feel the craftsmanship when you step inside. The bathrooms are spacious and well lit. Opposite to one another is the Bride and Groom rooms. Each are individually climate controlled. The Prep room is equipped with coolers and stainless steel tables. The roof has skylights, providing natural light inside. The deck provides a great view of the land, perfect for pictures. The side of the barn has an additional hangout spot with seating. Take a tour today and see for yourself what makes Land O’ Goshen special. You will want to have your wedding or next party here.

This venue has everything for your dream wedding! The space is so beautiful and charming, with a convenient location! It’s a very spacious venue with beautiful views for some really great photo opportunities! They have everything you need and really want to help you make your day as special as it can be! I would highly recommend this space to anyone!!

This venue has everything! Wonderfully restored barn in a country setting makes for nice views and multiple amenities. Ian and Clair are very easy to work with and genuine people. We had an excellent time at Land O’Goshen farms. Highly recommended!!!

A great venue for large parties! We hosted a huge family reunion here and everyone loved the beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere. Clair and Ian are easy to work with and very professional. Really impressed.

Attended an amazing wedding here! Beautifully restored interior and awesome views of the farm off an enormous back porch. Very dedicated staff and management and the dinner was amazing. Highly recommend!

Not only is the venue absolutely breathtaking, but Clair has been absolutely amazing. We’ve just booked with them for our wedding in October 2020 & she has been so kind, answers all questions that I’ve asked and doesn’t beat around the bush, we also feel like she has our best interest in mind. I would 100% recommend Land O’Goshen for your wedding or any other event you may need.
