Le Meridien Houston Downtown

My husband and I were engaged and had set our wedding date with our church for 6 months away! We were in search for a venue that was still available to host our reception. We reached out to several, including some hotels, for pricing. After a couple of weeks of emails, phone calls, venue visits, Lily actually reached out to us via email and I got in touch with her. It was a breath of fresh air to speak with her. She was kind, friendly, DIRECT, and very helpful! We went to see the ballroom at Le Meridien, I don't think it was too long after that we were under contract. Throughout the entire process of planning our reception at the hotel, Lily was always so responsive and always gave us very helpful advice in terms of logistics and planning. We had our food tasting with Lily, brought our coordinator with us, and they worked with us to create the perfect appetizers and meals for our guests (everything was delicious, lots of compliments from guests!). We had several hours between our ceremony at our church downtown, Annunciation Catholic Church, and the reception - Lily helped coordinate to have our dinner brought to us before the reception so that we would have more time to mingle with our guests as they ate dinner. We also had access to the rooftop for pictures - absolutely LOVED the ways those turned out! Such beautiful views of the Houston skyline all around. We also reserved the Glam Room for the ladies in our family and I to get ready the morning of. Such a cute room with several vanities. I stayed in the room the night before our wedding, it was the perfect relaxing night before our big day! BOTTOM LINE: There are so many small details I could go on and on about. Lily was unbelievably helpful, very responsive, always on top of things, very professional, and made sure we were happy and comfortable with everything before and on the day of our wedding. We could not have been happier with hosting our reception and guests at Le Meridien!

When my fiancée and I were looking for wedding venues, we were pretty picky. We looked for months and visited over a dozen locations all over Harris and Montgomery Country. But when it came down to a decision, we went with the Le Meridien Hotel in Downtown Houston. The hotel is new, well kept, and has sleek, modern finishes. While the ballroom has a nice city view and is a beautiful space for a wedding, what made our decision easy was the people. When we went to visit the hotel the 1st time, it was not even open yet. However, Special Events Manager, Lily Davis, made sure we were well taken care of. She arranged for a valet just for us, and introduced us to both the GM and the Head Chef. Everyone was so kind and we really felt like they rolled out the red carpet for us. There were several places we visited where the events coordinator left us with the impression that we would be so lucky to have our wedding there. But Lily really made us feel like they would be lucky if we were to be married there. For any request we had, she always started from the mindset of how to make it happen. I am someone who asks a million questions, and she answered them all, right from the 1st phone call until the champagne was poured at our wedding. She really went the extra mile for us, and we were really pleased with the whole staff. Her colleague Daniel would run room reports for me whenever I asked (which was every week), the Chef made heart shaped pimento grilled cheese sandwiches for our event at our request, and everyone from the valets to the bartenders could not have been nicer or more accommodating. There are a few really big purchases you make in your life, and it’s always good when you feel you made a good decision on those. Both my wife and I feel great about our decision to have our wedding at Le Meridien. I will be sure to call Lily and the folks at Le Meridien again for future events.

Lily Davis is the most amazing event coordinator there is- she is so kind, personable, and sweet. I would not have made it to my wedding day if it wasn't for her. She responds to all questions immediately and resolves obstacles with ease, and she really goes above and beyond to make your day special. She truly poured her heart into making our day one that we will remember for the rest of time. We love her so much and recommend her hands down!!!!! As for the venue- Le Meridien is such a beautiful hotel. The ballroom has 360 views of the city and the rooftop bar is outstanding. The food is incredible and the staff are so polite. We recommend to book your wedding reception here immediately!! And invite us!!!!!
