We selected Lillian Gardens for our daughter's reception venue. We liked the location, atmosphere and the onsite catering. Ashley and her staff were professional, attentive, flexible and friendly. We enjoyed working with them through this process and appreciated their flexibility with final details. Our guests enjoyed the celebration. Many told us how beautiful the venue was, and that the food was great, which is what you hope for when planning a reception. Everything went as planned and all enjoyed the celebration.

Lillian Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding! Staff is excellent, friendly and on the ball. The venue itself is a gorgeous historic home with lots of personality and the courtyard is always lush well manicured. A perfect mixture of indoor and outdoor. Our guests commented throughout the night how stunning it was.

My wedding this past May at Lillian Gardens was perfect! My wedding planner Stephanie did a wonderful job guiding us through the process and made sure no detail was missed. I cannot recommend Lillian Gardens enough!

We had our wedding here on 10/15/22 and it was the most magical day I, and many guests have mentioned, have ever experienced. We chose the enchanted package (food, beverage, cake, flowers, ceremony, table/linens, DJ, ) and I would not have changed a thing. When searching for a venue, I wanted more of a package deal so that I didn't have to worry about contacting and coordinating outside vendors myself. Lillian Gardens, specifically my wedding coordinator Stephanie Villegas, made planning my wedding so easy. She kept in contact with me, answered all of my many questions, and kept our big day on track. She took all of my wedding decor and set everything up beautifully. There were honestly no real hiccups the whole day. My favorite parts of the day were the bridal suite for the girls to get ready in (gorgeous lighting and a beautiful space) and the garden/gazebo area where the ceremony was held. We cannot stop smiling about this perfect day, thank you so much Lillian Gardens!

Stephanie, Ashley, Jennifer and everyone else at Lillian Gardens all played such a huge part in bringing my wedding dreams to life. Stephanie walked with me every step of the way, picked up her phone on any given day to answer a question, and gave me complete peace of mind from day 1 all the day to till the end of the wedding. Not only is this the venue itself so dreamy, it was in such a perfect location for our guests to explore downtown Newnan (which they loved). We went with the all-inclusive "Enchanted" package, and it was the best decision we made throughout the planning process. Stephanie, our lead planner, and Ashley, the owner, were amazing and really made our wedding completely stress free. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the garden was perfect for our outdoor ceremony. The lighting inside the venue is amazing and we are so excited to see our professional photos. I also feel the costs for the all-inclusive option are extremely competitive and 100% worth it!

Few good things came out of 2020, but I CAN say I am glad replanning my wedding was one of them.. Our wedding at Lillian Gardens was nothing short of perfect! I love that the venue is full service because I I didn’t have to go through the stress of finding vendors and making sure everything was in order the day of the wedding. Stephanie was our coordinator and she took care of everything from the food to the flowers to the setup of the reception. She even helped get red wine out of my dress (oops!). I honestly can’t say enough about how great she is. She answered ALL of my questions and helped me pick out decor when I couldn’t decide. We chose BBQ and baked chicken for our dinner and all of our guest talked about how great the food was. Especially the baked beans! The venue is absolutely beautiful! The courtyard and garden area are stunning and full of light. The staff setup the ceremony and the reception area the day of the wedding, so I was able to enjoy the day with my mom and bridesmaid. I know every bride says their wedding day was perfect but mine truly was!

We had our “perfect” wedding at Lillian Gardens on March 25, 2017. The Staff and Decor: Julio and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Ashley and the staff at Lillian Gardens. Ashley and her team were extremely professional and provided over the top customer service. They went above and beyond the call of duty. It's because of Ashley and the staff at Lillian Gardens that we even had a wedding at all! We had less than three months to plan a wedding that would host 170 guests. With one phone call, Ashley came in and saved the day! Within weeks, her staff put together a portfolio of lovely flowers, décor, linens, etc. Everything was perfectly decorated down to the smallest of details. The decorations, linen, flowers, food, etc. for the ceremony and reception were amazing. and we knew we were in good hands. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely and creative the decorations were...especially the flowers and bouquets, lighting and the arrangements around the aisle! Most importantly, Ashley and the staff at Lillian Gardens made us feel right at home in their venue. We have already recommended Lillian Gardens to our friends! The Venue: This venue is the epitome of southern charm. It is everything you would want for any wedding theme. The old antebellum home has an amazing ballroom and each room has its own personality. The quaint gardens are perfectly tended too. Everytime you turn around there is something new and beautiful that you may have missed the first time you looked. The Food: Lillian Gardens has their own in house catering. We were BLOWN away by how wonderful the food was and so were our guests.

They were amazing! I had one month to have everything ready and they nailed it. Stephanie, the wedding coordinator, is a true Fairy Godmother! She was super attentive, caring, and extremely communicative. I chose the Enchanted package due to my short time to plan everything in person. She was awesome! She scheduled the appointments we need to go for the cake, she set up a meeting with Marigold flowers, put us in contact with the DJ, she did everything. In my head for some reason I thought everything would be messy and crazy. Everything was actually really smooth. I was picky about the food, it wasn't my favorite, but the guests loved it, so the food is great. Somethings that came to my knowledge after the wedding were, 1. we didn't have all the people we planned for the food yet had no food left (?), 2. we payed for 73 sparklers, but at the end of the night we had roughly 20 people with us, and we didn't get the sparklers back (?) or a refund for those we didn't use (?). Besides the points I mentioned before, Stephanie, Doug, and the staff did an awesome job in making my day special. They are a great team. Everything looked like the way I envisioned, even better! Thank you so much Stephanie, and the team working with her!

When I think of Lillian Gardens I think of a couple of things: southern charm; perfection; AMAZING coordinator, cook, and staff! I wanted a low-stress wedding, which made Lillian Gardens "full service venue" that much more desirable and they. brought. it!! I chose "The Enchanted" wedding package, and was paired up with my wedding coordinator, Stephanie. Wedding planning went off without a hitch with Stephanie's help and support! Stephanie handled all the details from vendors and itinerary down to the wedding design/color details. Day of the wedding- Stephanie made sure that everything went off without a hitch: she verified full guest attendance, grabbed our food, and made sure me and my husband had our time alone together! For food- we had the taco bar and chocolate fountain, both were phenomenal and I would highly recommend both!! In the end, Lillian Gardens made our wedding day perfect beyond our wildest dreams!

My coordinator & the venue owner were very nice and caring throughout my entire experience working with them. From our first meeting to the big day! My coordinator worked with me very well, not only during each of our meeting but also on the big day. She and the venue owner were very patient with me when I was over filled with nerves an felt a little unwell. Even still, they fulfilled my dream wedding to literal perfection. I felt blessed to of had such a wonderful coordinator on my big day an leading up to. The staff on hand too was very kind and considerate toe and all the guests. 10 outa 10 recommend.

Our wedding took place here last week. after the chaos of covid, we were so amazingly delighted! Lillian Gardens offered amazing service and attention to detail! Paige coordinated everything flawlessly and seamlessly, and we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator, nor asked for a more beautiful venue (even after a F4 tornado + pandemic!! Absolutely perfect!

Stephanie, our wedding planner, worked with us so much to make sure our day ran smoothly. She texted quite often to ensure us of our details. Ashley and Paige, the day of coordinators, kept everything running smoothly. It did sort of feel like we were rushed a bit, but that was due to the fact that our wedding was so small. I would absolutely recommend Lillian Gardens and may use them again in the future for other events.

Everyone was wonderful to work with and helped us tailor the reception for our son and his bride. Would definitely recommend Lillian Gardens!

This is an absolutely beautiful historic venue in Newnan - The City Of Homes! I was impressed with the level of care they provided for me as a vendor. They went out of their way to make sure I was fed, and refreshed. I can only expect that their care for the clients they serve is top notch based on the quality of service I received as a vendor. I highly recommend this venue for any wedding or special event!

We had our son and now daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at Lillian Gardens. They were so happy with the way everything turned out. I cannot say enough nice things about this venue. Ashley and her staff are a joy to work with. We live out of state and Ashley made time to meet us every time we were in town. She also answered all my questions in a timely fashion and made recommendations for the menu and the decor. The venue is so beautiful and romantic. We had the BBQ menu and set up the tables out in the garden. Our guests (some from Texas where BBQ is king) commented on how delicious the food was and how much they enjoyed the home and gardens. It was a great start to a wonderful weekend. We would definitely recommend Lillian Gardens for any event!

We loved working with Ashley and her staff at Lillian Gardens for our wedding. The house and garden is well kept and beautiful. Everything about it is so accommodating, comfortable, and welcoming. I was really on my own for planning the wedding and I really can't imagine doing it without Ashley. She had thoughtful, informed opinions on things I had no clue about, she made everything easy for us, she had an amazing response time for emails. Plus she helped fixed my hairstyle 5 minutes before the ceremony!! I can't recommend them highly enough! My wedding was perfect!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Lillian Gardens. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Ashley was an angel throughout our entire wedding planning process. She really did take care of everything and took so much of the stress away! All the details down to the cake, linens, music, everything was taken care of by Ashley and her staff. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in May 2017. This venue was absolutely beautiful. Charming, welcoming feeling with wonderful upgrades. The gardens were landscaped wonderfully with colorful, blooming plants in a spacious yet cozy space. The coordinator/owner, Ashley, and staff were very accommodating, very kind and understanding and seemingly always one step ahead. We had a great time singing, dancing and celebrating the night away. This is a great venue for your ceremony, reception or any gathering that needs that special touch.

Whether you are looking to host an intimate family gathering or an extravagant wedding & reception for 200 guests, Lillian Gardens is an event venue to consider! Ashley and her staff are amazing to work with and the house & grounds are absolutely beautiful. My baby shower was held here in August 2016 and everything turned out perfect, and the guests couldn't stop raving about it! My wedding was also here in May 2017 and everything was perfect - it was the wedding of my dreams! I highly recommend Lillian Gardens to all of my friends and family!

We had a cocktail reception at Lillian Gardens on 5/5/17, the evening before our wedding. Even though our wedding wasn't at Lillian Gardens, Ashley and her staff were AMAZING to us - they constantly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us and our guests. Professional, caring, and personable. We absolutely loved everything about the venue and team - highly recommended!!

A warm and cozy place owned and managed by a professional who cares about the customer. The original venue had cancelled. Mike was so supportive in a difficult circumstance. His advice was full of concern for us. Then we had rain and rain and rain the days before the wedding. It seemed the dream of an outdoor ceremony was gone. But, less than 3 hours before the wedding tha rain stopped. Mike and his staff scrambled to move all chairs and flowers for the garden wedding. My daughter and son-in-law are still talking about the wonderful memories they have of their wedding day

I had the pleasure of being part of the bridal party last night at the Mader wedding at Something Special. I can honestly say this was the most organized, special, flawless and beautiful wedding I have been to. Everyone on the staff was polite, helpful and on top of everything. Michael was amazing. The venue itself is extremely clean and accomodating. The bridal suite layout is perfect for several ladies getting ready. The flow of entertaining the guests and the layout of the rooms was perfect. From the time we got there to the time we packed up and left everything went seamlessly well. I highly recommend Michael and his team....and especially the house and grounds....OH and the food!! Mike, owner of Something Special was more than accommodating for my wedding! We told him we were going to have 150 guests and ended up with more than that. We had two wedding coordinators that helped us along the way from deciding the order of the service to decorating the tables and venue. We had both the rehearsal dinner and reception here as well, which went perfect. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the Corn Casserole and the Mushroom Chicken if it is available! We had our wedding in November and this venue was perfect for the fall wedding that my bride wanted. The garden is decorated beautifully with flowers and the trees were filled with fall colors. I wouldn't have changed one thing we did and highly applaud Mike and his staff!! 10 out of 10!

Something Special Events has always been a top favorite for my family. Our neighborhood association was formed there as well as our Newnan Carnegie Library Association. Something Special Events always says “Yes!” to our requests. It is not only a top choice for civic and business programs, it was our pick for our daughter’s wedding reception. The charm and warmth of a landmark home is so much more inviting that a sterile event center. Guests all want to linger awhile. Our most recent venture into Something Special Events was a Carnegie Library fundraiser – a cooking school featuring Italian cuisine. Since everyone knows and loves Something Special, selling tickets was a breeze! With the great input from the staff and meticulous attention to detail - it all added to Success!

There isn't enough good that can be said about this place! The staff, the beautiful venue, the food, everything!! This place will defiantly make you feel like a princess. Every single guest complemented me on the wonderful choice for a wedding. Highly recommended!

We wanted a reception venue other than a traditional ballroom. We found Something Special in downtown Newnan and it was perfect! Mike, the owner, is fantastic to work with. He was so accommodating and open to all of our ideas (including squeezing a taco truck from Atlanta into the courtyard). He was truly a pleasure to work with! The historic home is beautiful, it has antique décor, but everything is clean and in good-shape. He is also a master-gardener and the back garden is breath-taking. Something Special offers a beautiful gazebo in the garden for wedding ceremonies; however, we just held our reception there. His catering staff is great, and the food was really delicious. We had heavy appetizers since we also had the food truck. Mike helps take care of everything, including recommending local vendors. He also provided the option of a wedding coordinator (for a great price!) Carol, our coordinator, was so helpful the day of the wedding and helped make sure everything went smoothly. We also used Martin Rudy and his musicians (as recommended by Mike) for background music and they were phenomenal as well. Also the price for the venue and services was extremely reasonable! I can’t say enough good things about Mike and Something Special, they really helped make our wedding day everything I dreamed it would be!

Hi Everyone, So my mother-in-law was in charge of the rehearsal dinner...she was so stressed about picking the right place too!! When she met with the company Something Special they really did ease her mind! They were so helpful and professional throughout the entire planning process and not to mention the night of. I remember the day before we were still hectically making changes and we added 15 people to the dinner! But much to our surprise they did not mind one bit and were very accommodating! This truly is a special and very very beautiful place. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone for any event, they will do anything they can to make it unique to your event.

I would recommend Something Special Events to anyone interesting in getting married around the Atlanta area. It was perfect for me because of their "wedding package." It covers the cost of everything they can do in-house. So catering, pianist, simple linens, cake, photography, wedding coordinators, etc. are all covered and I think all I had to pay for was decorations, flowers, and the DJ. I got money back for not using a pianist. While this is the practical reason for choosing SS, the place is just beautiful. An antebellum home with a garden and ballroom. Gorgeous. On top of all this, Mike Meyers, who runs SS, has such great relationships the other vendors that the event ran so smoothly.

This is a fantastic venue in historic downtown Newnan! The owner is fantastic. Great value, great price, great food, and great service. My wedding was gorgeous, and all my guests had a great time!
